The bulk resistance of each CdTe single crystal was measured during long time interval. The samples were placed into a cryostat. That allowed us to hold the temperature constant during the measurements and eliminate the illumination influence. The measurements started and were continued at 300 K and after some period of time it was sharply raised up to 390 K. We observed the resistance slow decreasing with time with temperature T = 300 K and T = 390 K. All the samples have very high value of relaxation time. The presented samples must have not one but four acceptor or donor levels, some of them are deep levels. We have discovered that the interactions between the valence band and deep acceptor levels or between the conductivity band and deep donor levels cause this long value of relaxation time.","PeriodicalId":256285,"journal":{"name":"IEEE EUROCON 2009","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-05-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131086651","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The stability analysis is done in the sense of Lyapunov resulting in sufficient uniform asymptotic stability conditions to be used in the design of Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy logic controllers (FLCs). Use is made of quadratic positive definite Lyapunov function candidates. An illustrative example validates the stability analysis approach by the designing of the FLC to control a nonlinear plant.","PeriodicalId":256285,"journal":{"name":"IEEE EUROCON 2009","volume":"145 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-05-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129032641","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed CDTA provide high output impedances at port Z and X, excellent input/output current tracking. The proposed CDTA circuit operats at a supply voltages of ± 1.5V. PSPICE simulation results using TSMC 0.35µ CMOS process model are included to verify the expected values. An example application using the proposed transadmittance type biquad filter is also presented. The proposed filter can realize LP, BP, HP, BS and AP filter responses from the same topology. The circuit also requires no component matching conditions.","PeriodicalId":256285,"journal":{"name":"IEEE EUROCON 2009","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-05-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129238556","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Compared to homogeneous transmission lines, the use of cascaded line sections gives additional degrees of freedom for the design of microwave devices with enlarged functionality and unique performance. Artificial right- and left-handed transmission lines based on lumped-element equivalent cells help to minimize the dimensions of microwave devices. For filters, a combination of cascaded right- and left-handed transmission lines can be applied advantageously, to control the position and the widths of the individual pass-bands and the parasitic response of higher harmonics. This paper describes the theoretical approach to the design of multi-band resonators and filters with highly suppressed response of higher harmonics. Selected devices were manufactured as three-dimensional ceramic multilayer modules based on low-temperature co-fired ceramic technology. The results of numerical simulation and experimental investigation of these devices are compared. Furthermore, the employment of variable capacitors in single cells of artificial transmission lines provides frequency tuning of the devices. The design of tunable dual-band filters is discussed, and the experimental results are presented.","PeriodicalId":256285,"journal":{"name":"IEEE EUROCON 2009","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-05-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126852144","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The parameters that are used for the ORPD are tap settings of transformers, voltages of generating plants and the output of compensating device such as capacitor banks and synchronous condensors. In this paper settings of FACTS devices are considered as additional parameters in solving the ORPD problem. Also the genetic algorithm has been used to find the optimal settings of the controlling parameters. The results of the ORPD have been obtained on a 30 bus IEEE network.","PeriodicalId":256285,"journal":{"name":"IEEE EUROCON 2009","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-05-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126496368","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The sequence to be analyzed is first segmented into scenes according to audio similarity. Some global clues such as loudness, the ratio of unrelated shots, and the affective relationship between the scenes and the whole sequence are employed to compute the semantic scene importance. The shots in each scene are grouped based on the luminance histograms, and the semantic shot importance is then calculated using selected audio and video features. Subsequently, key frames are extracted according to the semantic frame importance computed based on certain visual features, such as attention region and motion information. This approach is effective to generate a representative video summary whilst avoiding some disadvantages of the traditional video summarization methods. Experimental results demonstrate promising performance of the proposed approach.","PeriodicalId":256285,"journal":{"name":"IEEE EUROCON 2009","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-05-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121346591","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
