The long-term goal of this study is to better understands, organize and restructure each MNCs digitalized knowledge system parallel to their employees’ work-life flexibility. This chapter aims to investigate the impact of digitalization and knowledge absorptive capacity and employees’ work-life flexibility in MNCs industry. Previous research has primarily relied on organizational science that have explored digital innovation in specific industry and the did not treat work-life flexibility as pre-requisite in order for an employee to achieve wellbeing or performance. Besides that, this study treats digitalization as an example of external disruptive technology that influences knowledge transfer from MNCs subsidiaries to contract manufacturing in a post-Covid environment where it has changed the way instructions, methods, and ideas transferred across these organizations and its effects to employee’s work-life flexibility. Previous research fails to fully recognize the unique and distinct characteristics of digitalization and their formative and transformative effects in terms of MNCs operational logics and to achieve work-life flexibility. Therefore, this study is investigating the relationship of digitalized knowledge transfer between MNCs’ subsidiaries and contract manufacturers and employee work-life flexibility in the context of learning intent on the effectiveness and efficiency of knowledge transfer among the technical team across organizations.","PeriodicalId":253813,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Business and Technology Management","volume":"74 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128598074","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In practice, there are problems such as low cost of copyright infringement, high concealment, difficulty in judicial rights protection, and huge differences in the realization of original authors' income. Given the significant challenges involved in managing copyright infringement in the short video industry, it is imperative to identify and implement an appropriate regulatory and legal framework that can effectively address these issues. This will require close collaboration between industry stakeholders, including content creators, platform providers and legal authorities. In this context, it is urgent to standardize and manage short video copyright infringement issues, and effectively protect the copyright of short videos, so as to regulate the proliferation of infringements, encourage short video creators to carry out cultural creation, and promote the healthy and orderly development of the short video industry.","PeriodicalId":253813,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Business and Technology Management","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130021860","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Research has shown the rise and fall in the public viewing of news on television due to the advancement of digital technologies. Younger audiences, in particular, have turned to social media to access news and this trend is rapidly growing. The current study sought to ascertain if this was the case for people who may continue to watch television news despite the said technological advances. Interviews with 40 individuals from the East Malaysian state of Sarawak were conducted to gather their views on whether people living in Malaysia still watch television news and the factors contributing to this trend. The findings show that television remains an integral part of the participants' everyday lives and that it continues to be an important medium for disseminating news. While the younger participants reported that they regularly accessed news on social media, they still turned to television as a more reliable and trustworthy news source. The findings revealed several factors that contributed to television news viewing among the participants: the social-familial, the situational-environmental, the personal, and the technological. The findings shed useful insights into the current trend of television news viewing among the mass public as the world is gradually ending the COVID-19 pandemic and transitioning into endemic while experiencing news consumption on digital media.","PeriodicalId":253813,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Business and Technology Management","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122711927","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In Bangladesh, where a significant portion of the population resides in rural areas, the adoption of internet banking has been hindered by various factors. However, understanding these factors is crucial, especially now that digital transactions have become more important. This study aims to understand the factors influencing the adoption of internet banking services among rural customers in Bangladesh. To acquire data, a questionnaire was administered to 443 rural bank customers in the district of Barisal. The Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) revealed three primary factors: trust compatibility, service benefit, and access to consumer education. In addition, the research sought to determine if the identified factors, particularly access to consumer education, varied according to the occupation and income level of rural consumers. Using exhaustive Chi-squared Automatic Interaction Detection (CHAID) analysis, the findings revealed that access to consumer education differs significantly by occupation level, with business and service holders being more likely than farmers to have access to consumer education. This research contributes to the literature by providing insights into the adoption of internet banking by rural customers and informing policymakers about the special needs of this demographic.","PeriodicalId":253813,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Business and Technology Management","volume":"243 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115472886","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As an emerging technology product born in recent years, Short Video has the characteristics of a low creation threshold, convenient viewing method, and fast dissemination, which users love. Many bloggers have gained massive traffic through the Short video and thus have gained huge economic income. With the explosion of the short video industry, large short video companies have launched video editing software to support the video platform, such as Byte Jumping's cut screen APP and Racer Technology's fast shadow APP. Moreover, B station must cut APP (China Association of Network Audiovisual Program Services, 2021). Compared with traditional video editing software, this application's creation difficulty is low and easy to operate. In contrast, the application provides a variety of internal templates, and users only need to follow the prompts to upload pictures or videos can be. The appearance of short video templates helps users save many learning and time costs and dramatically increases user activity and dependence. However, with the popularity of short video templates, academics, and practitioners have not reached a unanimous conclusion on whether \"short video templates\" can be protected by copyright. This article takes the first case of a copyright dispute over short video templates in China as an example and discusses the relevant issues.","PeriodicalId":253813,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Business and Technology Management","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132824690","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Chemical-free items are difficult to produce since chemicals are necessary for some performances. Despite emphasising their uses, it cannot be denied that chemicals negatively impact human health and the environment. However, because chemicals are a part of our daily lives, we become so accustomed to them that we often disregard and forget about their negative effects. This study will examine consumer knowledge of dangerous chemical items. In this research, the factors that influence health awareness will be discussed. The study will examine two factors affecting the consumers' awareness: The information factor and the personal factor. The information factor includes commercial sources, neutral sources, and social sources. The personal factors are interest in health information and attitudes toward harmful chemicals. The research was done by collecting feedback from 187 youth aged 18 to 40 in Malaysia who are now managing a household. An online questionnaire with a 5-Likert rating scale is used to collect the data. The result of the study indicated that neutral sources, social sources, interests and attitudes will affect the consumer awareness of the harmful household chemical. On the other hand, commercial sources will not affect youth awareness of harmful household chemical products. This study can understand Malaysians’ awareness level towards harmful chemicals and thus find effective ways to increase the awareness among Malaysians.","PeriodicalId":253813,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Business and Technology Management","volume":"64 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116260764","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
