The technology acceptance model (TAM), which has been tested in different technological applications, is the most well-known of these models. This article reviews previously published research on the application of TAM to electronic health records. According to the findings of this review, the original TAM was updated and extended to fit the dynamic healthcare service environment by absorbing and integrating variables from various theoretical frameworks as well as by adding variables in specific contextual settings. This demonstrates how the TAM model has been adapted and expanded to meet the specific demands of the healthcare industry, emphasising its usefulness in various settings.","PeriodicalId":253813,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Business and Technology Management","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132727255","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In accordance with the combined constructs of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), a survey questionnaire was administered to a sample of 99 GAB officials and employees. To analyze the data, stepwise multiple linear regression and related statistical tools were performed using the IBM Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) and Microsoft Excel. Correlation analysis revealed that the attitude toward using AI and the behavioral intention to use AI showed a very strong positive correlation with the adoption of AI in the GAB. Meanwhile, social influence, effort expectancy, and performance expectancy exhibited a strong positive correlation with the AI adoption. On the other hand, facilitating conditions showed a moderate positive correlation while the perceived risk is the lone variable which exhibited a weak negative correlation. The stepwise multiple linear regression analysis revealed that out of the seven independent variables, the attitude toward using AI and the effort expectancy are the strongest factors that influence the adoption of AI. Further, the model revealed that 63.6% of the variance of the dependent variable can be explained by the predictor variables. This means that the 36.4% unexplained variance can be explained by the variables that are not included in the conceptualization of this research study. This paper makes a contribution to the growing body of research on how government agencies are governing, accepting, and adopting AI.","PeriodicalId":253813,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Business and Technology Management","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121892828","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As it is a relatively new topic, existing research on users’ para-social responses toward virtual influencers is currently insufficient. Therefore, this study conducted an online experiment (N = 211), comparing Instagram users’ para-social interactions with virtual or human influencers. After participants were exposed to images of human and virtual influencers, they were asked to complete the questionnaires. The results showed a significant difference between the users’ para-social responses to the two groups. Additionally, four relevant mediator variables were examined. “Mental human-likeness” and “wishful identification” were found to have significant negative mediating effect on the relationship between influencer type and users’ para-social interactions. The results have important implications for media psychology and contribute to studies on virtual influencers.","PeriodicalId":253813,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Business and Technology Management","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122435011","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As these technologies continue to evolve, the opportunities and challenges associated with them rises. Current study aiming to identify the emerging technology opportunities and challenges towards organization and national development in the context of Malaysia. To achieve the objective, current study has deployed secondary qualitative analysis method with literature review approach. Based on the analysis, study finds that, AI, Blockchain and IoT are the most emerging technology that has significant contribution toward the organizational and national development. Study further, identified potential challenges and the showcase the potential process to avail opportunities of emerging technologies. Artificial Intelligence (AI) can help companies to automate their operations, reducing errors and increasing profitability. Automation can also enhance the quality of products, as machines are less prone to human error. Blockchain technology can provide a secure and efficient way to conduct transactions, making it possible for businesses to reach new markets and expand their customer base. Technologies like solar energy and wind turbines can help reduce the country's dependence on fossil fuels, which is important for the long-term sustainability of the environment. Another significant challenge is the lack of infrastructure to support the implementation of emerging technologies. Additionally, the lack of regulations for emerging technologies poses a challenge for organizations and the government, especially in areas such as data privacy and security. The government and organizations must work together to ensure that the public is informed about the benefits and challenges of these technologies. Therefore, these technologies can promote sustainable development and provide new business opportunities. In conclusion, the challenges that need to be addressed to fully leverage the benefits of emerging technologies, including the lack of skilled workers, infrastructure, and regulations in Malaysia would be discussed.","PeriodicalId":253813,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Business and Technology Management","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121393456","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Information Technology (IT) has changed ways of interacting with customers, resulting in the concept of Electronic Customer Relationship Management (eCRM), which has caused a shift from offline CRM to eCRM. ECRM aims to attract and retain customers, improve customer service by creating a solid relationship with them, and provide valued financial products as required. Thus, it is vital to identify readiness factors in any organisation to ensure that they are capable of deploying eCRM and reduce the likelihood of failure. Due to the current gap in having a comprehensive eCRM readiness model in banks, this research attempts to fill this gap by developing an updated conceptual model for eCRM readiness for banks. These factors will provide banks with guidelines for evaluating their eCRM readiness status.","PeriodicalId":253813,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Business and Technology Management","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128956372","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
