The ongoing epidemic has sparked a wave of research on the mechanisms of effective stress coping in the situation of threat to life and safety. At the same time, more scientists are emphasizing the existential nature of anxiety caused by the pandemic, and the results of recent studies indicate a mediating role of existential anxiety between the symptoms of post-traumatic stress and post-traumatic growth. The purpose of this research is to study the aspects of processing existential experience and its connection with coping with anxiety during COVID-19 pandemic. The study analyzed written interviews of 108 subjects aged 25-45 years, held during the second wave of coronavirus in Moscow, for the presence of existential issues of death, loneliness, freedom and meaning. The types of processing existential experience were distinguished; an empirical analysis of the connection between the aspects of processing the existential experience and trait anxiety was carried out. Results showed that 90% of respondents are confronted with one or more existential given, which may indicate the presence of a situational existential crisis. A connection has been found between an emotional processing of existential experience together with the availability of personal resources and successful stress coping during the pandemic. The necessity of including fundamental existential issues in the process of providing psychological help during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as assistance to people, who have had traumatic experiences, has been argued.","PeriodicalId":253464,"journal":{"name":"RSUH/RGGU Bulletin. By the example of the topic of cultural heritage “crisis” the author reveals wide possibilities of using foreign language for mastering profession. The article is devoted to the analysis of theoretical and practical peculiarities of the case-study usage, specific tools and the arrangement of the educational process. Problem-oriented case-study for culturologists incorporates the following instruments: professionally-focused text, video accompanied by the lexicogrammatical assignments, projects about the examples of cultural heritage destruction in history, assignment to present the results of the research on the theme of cultural heritage as the core of the national cultural identity. Foreign language is used here as a tool of mastering profession because the research itself is based on foreign sources. Case-study helps to teach the professionally-oriented language in a creative way and to provide the environment for its usage. Two stages were carried out in this study – diagnostic and experimental. As for the diagnostic part, the features of the cognitive and personal characteristics of the participants were studied. The following techniques were used to study cognitive characteristics: “Raven’s Progressive Matrices” and the “Complex Analogies” technique. To study personal characteristics, we used: the questionnaire “SAMOAL” (the method of A.V. Lazukin adapted by N.F. Kalin) and the “Emotional Intelligence Test” by D.V. Lyusin. As for the experimental part of the study, participants were asked to solve 4 problematic tasks: “immeasurable vessel” and “universal cork” – based on scientific content and “gooseberry” and “over-salted” – based on artistic content. As for the results of the study, a positive relationship between autosympathy and the success of solving a problem of scientific content, and also between understanding one’s own and others’ emotions and the success of solving problematic tasks of artistic content was established; a negative relationship between the need for cognition and the success of solving artistic tasks was also established. No connection with cognitive characteristics was found.","PeriodicalId":253464,"journal":{"name":"RSUH/RGGU Bulletin. Series Psychology. Pedagogics. Within the framework of the communicative-discursive direction in Russian linguistics, a paradigmatic approach to the study of the role of the language personality in the creation of new knowledge has been established. The language personality is able to participate in the process of nominating objects and actions of the world picture. Intralinguistic and extralinguistic factors influence language changes. Intralinguistic factors provide potential for language renewal, including its neologization, in accordance with the laws of dialectical development. Extra- linguistic factors are represented by numerous social and socio-political phe- nomena from the surrounding world. The high popularity of SMS messages is explained not only by the action of the law of saving speech efforts in the language, but also by the ability of language personality to express emotions in the language, thanks to the opportunities for innovations and improvisations inherent in it. The paper considers the language functions and stylistic features of abbreviated SNS messages in English discourse.","PeriodicalId":253464,"journal":{"name":"RSUH/RGGU Bulletin. Series Psychology. The purpose of the research is to consider modern information and communication technologies that allow improving the effectiveness of students ‘ linguistic competence in learning a foreign language. Various information platforms of teaching in the conditions of computer technologies development are considered. Language digitization is an actual social and cultural phenomenon that needs to be scaled through educational technologies of the XXI century, which will allow you to translate language content into digital data that speeds up the process of learning a foreign language and personalize it through an individual approach. Thus, the main characteristic of digitalization of the educational space for learning foreign languages is the tendency of conciseness, convenience, simplicity and mobility in the transfer of accumulated knowledge about the intercultural trajectory of the language paradigm to the student. This trend was the result of the third and fourth waves of scientific and technical changes (open Internet resources, access to rapid transfer of intellectual knowledge and technology). Digitalization of the educational environment creates conditions for the development of electronic mobile platforms in remote and online forms and forms an electronic educational environment that creates interaction between the teacher and the student in a completely new format.","PeriodicalId":253464,"journal":{"name":"RSUH/RGGU Bulletin.
