The purpose of this work is to demonstrate how the development of these large-scale optimization methods might help portfolio selection. This research reviews them and shows how they can be implemented in portfolio selection. Based on historical data for six assets, an experimental model is solved with a combination by BFGS and bisection method, as the section of the return interval was reduced by half. The results show that this technique is effective and successful in solving of the portfolio optimization model.","PeriodicalId":241355,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Engineering and Emerging Technologies (ICEET)","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129888102","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Renewable energy sources are heavily contributing to meet the energy demands throughout the world. Pakistan is situated in highly feasible region for solar power, as average daily sunshine is about 10-11 hours in summer and 6-7 hours in winter. However, supervision and power management of PV system is not currently deployed in Pakistan to a larger extent at most sites. Therefore, in this research work an IoT based data acquisition (DAQ) system is developed to acquire important parameters i.e., voltage, current of PV panel, battery voltage and the power being consumed by load. This data is sent to the gateway and it will be displayed on digital platform. Moreover, gateway will also produce alerts on certain critical condition of PV system and these alerts will be highlighted on the dashboard remotely. The timely intimation of problems occurrence in the PV system will ensure its reliable and efficient operation.","PeriodicalId":241355,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Engineering and Emerging Technologies (ICEET)","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125422217","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Researchers have been studying acoustic features of prosody worldwide to design a model for prosody in various languages to make human-machine interaction natural. This study focuses on the interface between linguistics and technology, particularly for less studied languages like Marathi, to improve human-machine interaction applications by investigating acoustic correlates of various prosodic features of Marathi emotional utterances. The Marathi language, spoken in the Indian states of Maharashtra and Goa, has received relatively little attention for prosody. Due to a lack of appropriate resources, studying the prosodic features of the Marathi language was difficult. With the help of seven male and four female actors, we created a database of 440 Marathi utterances in the four main emotion styles—anger, happiness, fear, and neutral. The acoustic correlates of prosody were calculated from the recorded dataset using PRAAT software. According to this study, the prosodic characteristics of Marathi emotional utterances alter in response to emotions. However, anger and happiness; and fear and neutral emotions share somewhat similar acoustic properties.","PeriodicalId":241355,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Engineering and Emerging Technologies (ICEET)","volume":"136 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126730515","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to solve this problem, many researchers have developed methods to obtain shapelets efficiently, but their classification performances are not good or they require hyperparameters. In this study, we propose a shapelet selection method using DTW(dynamic time warping). The proposed method searches for frequent patterns occurring in time series through the warping path of DTW and uses it as shapelets. To validate the proposed method, twenty-one benchmark datasets of time series are applied to our method and the existing methods, with which the classification accuracy and shapelet extraction time are compared. The proposed method shows no significant difference from the previous studies in computation time, while attains excellent performance in classification accuracy.","PeriodicalId":241355,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Engineering and Emerging Technologies (ICEET)","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122996847","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Recommender systems predict consumers’ preferences for products and provide proactive suggestions for items they would enjoy. Collaborative filtering, content-based, and hybrid recommendation models are the most common types of recommendation models. Collaborative filtering generates suggestions based on previous interactions between the user and the item, whereas the majority of content-based recommendations are based on item comparisons. The majority of hybrid recommender systems are made up of a mix of collaborative filtering and content-based recommender models. The Content-Based method was used as the main model in this study, with Term Frequency - Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) and Rapid Automatic Keyword Extraction (RAKE) algorithms serving as keyword extractors. A total of 244 movies were recommended using keywords from each extractor, with the highest average of 33% of the movies recommended from each being identical. Taking comparable movies into account, we can propose them to a user.","PeriodicalId":241355,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Engineering and Emerging Technologies (ICEET)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122955609","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The drones are divided into four groups, each of 25 drones. Each drone is connected to a wireless access point where the mission control center operates the command to each drone individually in parallel to display the expected letter or words. Python is the programming language used for commanding and controlling the operation. The communication between drones and the mission control computer is done wirelessly with Wi-FiS02.11N technology running at a 2. 4GHz frequency. Each drone is assigned to a specific IP address as an ID based on the unique Media Access Control (MAC) address. To communicate with the drones, the User Diagram Protocol (UDP) protocol is used for the communication. As a result, the matrix drone can perform different flights showing different characters and words including various custom 3D shapes.","PeriodicalId":241355,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Engineering and Emerging Technologies (ICEET)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133485804","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Active scanning is the initial attack of hackers to survey the system and then gather information based on open ports etc. After the information is ready, the hackers prepare an attack based on the available information. This often leads to loss of data or service for an enterprise or an individual. It might even be monetary loss. Penetration testing is like quality analysis where the pentesters carry out relative tasks to secure the system. So that attacks like port scanning are rendered useless for the hackers against the system. Taking defensive measurements against attacks are referred to as blue team activities. This paper covers the attack of port scanning and the defensive measures that can be taken against the port scanning attack to secure an enterprise or individual system.","PeriodicalId":241355,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Engineering and Emerging Technologies (ICEET)","volume":"215 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132288087","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Satellites and other remote sensing applications have been collecting vital data that is utilised to monitor targets or events in varying environmental conditions all over the world. Some of these collections include images of natural disasters and anthropogenic events such as wildfires, floods, and drought, among others. However, appropriate image quality assessment techniques have been lacking for image fusion and other remote sensing applications where the information is not targeting the human visual system. Currently, there are several perceptual image quality assessment methods that can be applied depending on the image sensor type. In this paper, we focus on various no-reference general and specific image quality methods that can be used to evaluate remote sensing images for fire detection. Further, we evaluate the effectiveness of the non-referential image quality techniques applied in the processing of airborne sensor images, notably those for fire detection, and correlate the effectiveness of these techniques to the accuracy of detection. In this paper Image quality assessment (IQA) methods such as entropy, BRISQUE, MUSIQ, exposure, and CPBD are analyzed along with methods for image distortion, i.e., Gaussian blur, and image enhancement such as HE, AHE, and CLAHE. Therefore, the no-reference image quality assessment investigation will contribute to the detection and correction of image quality processing issues in wildfires.","PeriodicalId":241355,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Engineering and Emerging Technologies (ICEET)","volume":"243 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134500269","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
