This research has been conducted on detecting the stem diseases of jute plants which is one of the most important cash crops in some of the Asian countries. An automated system based on an Android application has been implemented to take pictures of the disease affected stems of jute plants and send them to the dedicated server for assaying. On the server side, the affected portion from the image will be segmented using customized thresholding formula based on hue-based segmentation. The consequential feature values will be extracted from the segmented portion for texture analysis using color co-occurrence methodology. The extracted values will be compared with the sample values stored in the pre-defined database which will lead the disease to be identified and classified using Multi-SVM classifier. At the final step, the classification result along with the necessary control measures will be sent back to the farmer within three seconds through the application on their phone.","PeriodicalId":240329,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information Communication Technology (ICEEICT)","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121378703","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, noise, multipath propagation, fading etc. are the main barriers that causes the signal degradation in a power line channel. We have designed a power line coupler for power line channel. In this paper, we have developed and applied a mathematical model of power line and tested the power transfer capability of the power line using the designed coupler. The simulation results show that the couplers are well-suited with the line parameters and provide easy path for high frequency signal. The result also suggest that the performance can be improved by adjusting few transfer function parameters.","PeriodicalId":240329,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information Communication Technology (ICEEICT)","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122846169","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

LC tank based VCO is commonly used for the low phase noise performance in most RF applications. Since quality factor of the LC tank is mainly dominated by the quality factor of the passive elements (inductor & capacitor) selection, this work presents the passive elements optimization based on the inductor and varactor optimization. Simulated in 65 nm process, higher Q is obtained for large width and minimum number of turns for the inductor and for the varactor design; the PMOS varactor operating in the depletion and accumulation regions allows large tuning range and less parasitic resistance.","PeriodicalId":240329,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information Communication Technology (ICEEICT)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128459951","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Inefficient traffic signaling incorporates huge delay that hinders not only our daily activities but can be life threatening. Besides, inefficient traffic signaling and fraudulent vehicles impedes normal traffic system by introducing several uneven phenomena. Also tracking of individual vehicle for citizen safety applications demands an efficient and accurate mechanism. Thus traffic management requires an intelligent system that will be able to handle normal traffic flow as well as emergency vehicles and fraudulent vehicles. This paper proposes a hierarchical wireless traffic entity network driven adaptive traffic signaling mechanism that not only considers normal traffic signaling but also serves emergency vehicles with higher precedence. In addition the proposed approach considers urban traffic lighting scenarios and provides fraudulent vehicle detection mechanism.","PeriodicalId":240329,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information Communication Technology (ICEEICT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114880325","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The constituent units of the simplified spray pyrolysis technique are spray-dry chamber, a temperature controlling unit, a spray-dry controlling unit and an exhaust gas emission unit. The aim of this work is to simplify the fabrication method of the system and minimize the cost. On this regard, a handmade wooden chamber, an electrical heater with temperature controller and exhaust fans are used in this system which are available in local market. A servo motor interfaced with a microcontroller and a LCD display is used for the spray-dry unit where the time is set by using a matrix keyboard. Eventually, Zinc Oxide thin film is obtained on a glass substrate by using this system and its optical property is observed in a Spectrophotometer after completing the fabrication of the system. An easy fabrication process with the user friendly equipment make this system simple, easy to handle and maintain with less mechanical hazards.","PeriodicalId":240329,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information Communication Technology (ICEEICT)","volume":"60 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124017980","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These faulty nodes may update the wrong information, provide misleading results and may be nodes with the depleted battery power. Consensus algorithms help to reach on a decision even with the faulty nodes. Every correct node decides some values by a consensus algorithm. If all correct nodes propose the same value then all the nodes decide on that. Every correct nodes must agree on the same value. Faulty nodes do not reach on the decision that correct nodes agreed on. Binary consensus algorithm and average consensus algorithm are the most widely used consensus algorithm in a distributed system. We apply binary consensus and average consensus algorithm in a distributed sensor network with the presence of some faulty nodes. We evaluate these algorithms for better convergence rate and error rate.","PeriodicalId":240329,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information Communication Technology (ICEEICT)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121750414","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
