This paper proposes a differentiation method between imagery left and right hands movement using Daubechies wavelet of Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) and Levenberg-Marquardt back propagation training algorithm of Neural Network (NN). DWT decomposes the raw EEG data to extract significant features that provide feature vectors precisely. Levenberg-Marquardt Algorithm (LMA) based neural network uses feature vectors as input for classification of the two class data and outcomes overall classification accuracy of 92%. Previously various features and methods used but this recommended method exemplifies that statistical features provide better accuracy for EEG classification. Variation among features indicates differences between neural activities of two brain hemispheres due to two imagery hands movement. Results from the classifier are used to interface human brain with machine for better performance that requires high precision and accuracy scheme.","PeriodicalId":240329,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information Communication Technology (ICEEICT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128244879","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Speckle noise creates most critical disturbances and affects the quality of synthetic aperture radar, ultrasound and medical images in the field of biomedical imaging. SAR imagery uses the microwave radiation, which receives coherent summation of reflected radiation. Speckle noise in SAR produces degraded, low quality image which is causing misdirection of active radar in automatic target detection and recognition due to image interpretation. Ultrasound images are affected by speckle noise because the images are obtained with a simple linear scan, ultrasound probe which are produced granular appearance noise. Medical images are also corrupted through the speckle noise during its acquisition and transmission. Image with speckle reduce the image contrast and resolution, thereby decreasing the diagnostic values of the ultrasound image. There are several filtering techniques available to reduce this speckle noise. So, this framework includes several filtering techniques like mean, median, Weiner, log and Gaussian to evaluate the filter performance through the parameters like mean square error and peak signal to noise ratio to attenuate the speckle noise without degrading the image information from the synthetic aperture radar, ultrasound and medical imagery. Experimental analysis has been done under MATLAB environment. MSE, PSNR have been calculated and compared for different value of variance for better performance measurement.","PeriodicalId":240329,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information Communication Technology (ICEEICT)","volume":"305 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134198918","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A very new and unique model of multijunction solar is introduced in this paper. Using the modified version of spectral p-n junction solar cell model, the calculations of the solar cell parameters are done. All the calculations done for this work are completed by using MATLAB simulation using different appropriate equations given in various literature. The J-V characteristics are plotted for different solar radiation. In this paper, we have shown the calculations for different Air Mass (AM) condition such as AM 1.5D, AM 1.5G and AM 0 solar spectrum. The efficiency of the solar cell varies with the change in the Air Mass conditions. Solar cell parameters like short circuit current density, open circuit voltage, fill factor, maximum power are calculated. The efficiency for AM0 condition is found 50.7484% while for AM 1.5G condition the efficiency is 44.5156%. Thus, tracking of helicopter in real time is vital. There are various ways to track low flying helicopter, such as aircraft to ground data link, satellite phone etc. But the Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) network has not been reported to be utilized yet to transmit the position information obtained from Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver. A study was carried out to check the coverage of GSM network in low altitude for the feasibility of sending location information and the report has been presented in this paper. A GPS and GSM modem was programmed to log the time, location, altitude and signal strength. Two missions were carried out at 1000 feet with the device. Logged data were later on downloaded in a computer to analyze the low altitude coverage of the GSM network. The results show that the signal quality of the GSM was available for more than 75% of the time for sending SMS. Thus, it is evident from the study report that the low altitude helicopter can be tracked using GSM network.","PeriodicalId":240329,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information Communication Technology (ICEEICT)","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125392620","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The basic task in document categorization is classifying a given document in some predefined classes. Bengali is among the top ten most spoken languages in the world and is spoken by more than 200 million people, but the candid truth is, it still lacks significant research efforts in the area of Bengali Document Categorization. In the first phase of this paper a model has been designed that extracts keywords from a Bengali document. We crawled over 35000 news documents form popular Bengali newspapers and journals. Those documents have been stemmed and less significant words are removed using stemmer and Parts-of-Speech(POS) tagger. Statistical approach is used to extract keywords form the documents. Then probabilistic distribution and semi supervised learning with Naïve Bayes algorithm is used to approximate the category of a given Bengali document. Result and statistical data show the effectiveness of this model.","PeriodicalId":240329,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information Communication Technology (ICEEICT)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127805589","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There now exists several simulators (in the areas of wireless ad-hoc network) that offer various features to measure network performance. One such simulator that recently gained high popularity among researchers in the area of networking is Network Simulator 2 (NS-2). In this paper, we present a short survey on NS-2 for packet level simulation. The paper demonstrates how packet level simulation is conducted using NS-2. The paper furthermore explores the advantages and the drawbacks of NS-2 in the light of packet loss, interval period, traffic type and pattern. The techniques used in this work to measure network performance can be replicated in other related work. Simulated results with the NS-2 simulator show remarkable correlation with that of the theoretical estimation. Due to the cleanness, modularity and higher potentiality, FC systems can be used in both single and hybrid systems for power generation. In this study a 26 kW standalone proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) based energy system is developed using MATLAB/Simulink®. The PEMFC stack is modeled based on the mathematical equations and implemented using the Simulink blocks. Similarly the power converters are also modeled using the Simulink block sets. The PEMFC output DC voltage is stepped up using a boost DC-DC converter then fed to a PWM based inverter. The controller for DC-DC boost converter is a PI based single loop voltage controller. The inverter controller uses RMS feedback controller and LC filter. The AC output power is tested with resistive (R) and inductive (RL) loads. The dynamic performance of FC stack is also verified by applying step changes in both resistive and inductive loads. Simulation results shows that the PEMFC stack is capable of delivering the maximum output power with voltage and current ripple within tolerable range. Moreover, the AC output voltage, frequency are within the acceptable range.","PeriodicalId":240329,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information Communication Technology (ICEEICT)","volume":"2013 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130022724","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
