Output voltage is regulated by duty cycle control of semiconductor switch of switch mode dc-dc converters. The voltage gain and efficiency of practical switching regulators deviate from ideal values at extreme duty cycles. Also, desired gain /attenuation is not achievable at high/low duty cycles. In applications where high gain or high attenuation of voltage is desired with acceptable energy conversion efficiency, hybrid dc-dc switching converters are used. Hybrid dc-dc converters are combination of voltage multiplier/division circuit with appropriate SMPS circuits. By incorporating voltage multiplier/division cell with conventional converters like Buck, Boost, Buck-Boost, Ĉuk and SEPIC converters, desired voltage gain (either very low or very high) may be achieved at acceptable energy conversion efficiency. In the present work with an aim to attain very high voltage gain by conventional Boost topologies, a new voltage multiplier cell consisting of multiple inductors and diodes is proposed. The proposed voltage multiplier cell can be duplicated in multiple number.","PeriodicalId":240329,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information Communication Technology (ICEEICT)","volume":"168 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114304910","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These gates have potential for the development of large scale integrated optical processor. In this paper we tried to bring out the best performance of AND, NOT, NAND, NOR, XOR, XNOR logic gates based on electro-optic effect by implementing these devices with the use of Ti:KNbO3 waveguide. To implement these gates we used an optimal performing 2×2 Mach-Zehnder Interferometer electro-optic switch based on Ti:KNbO3 waveguide as basic building block. Two or more switches were needed for designing the gates. Signals in second electrodes which are also referred as control signals are the inputs of the gates. The novelty of this work is to introduce AND, NOT, NAND, NOR, XOR, XNOR logic gates using Ti:KNbO3 based waveguides at 1.55 μm. Finite difference beam propagation method (FDBPM) was used as the performance analyzing tool of these gates with the help of Opti-BPM 12.2 simulation software.","PeriodicalId":240329,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information Communication Technology (ICEEICT)","volume":"77 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114428750","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The analysis is presented to find the expression for the signal current and multi access interference (MAI) current at the output of an equal gain combiner (EGC) in presence of atmospheric channel effect, atmospheric turbulence and pointing error. The performance results in terms of BER are evaluated for different values of code lengths, number of receiver antennas, number of simultaneous user and the system parameters. It is found that, significant degradation in the receiver BER performance due to the atmospheric channel effect and in presence of pointing error can be substantially reduced by increasing the number of photodetectors. Further improvement in the receiver sensitivity can be obtained by increasing the optical code length for a given number of user at a given BER of 10−9. For example, at a BER of 10−9 and number of user K=16 sensitivity improvement due to receive diversity is found to be 2.15 dB, 2.35 dB, 2.6 dB corresponding to processing gain of 64, 256 and 512 respectively for number of photodetector receiver of 4.","PeriodicalId":240329,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information Communication Technology (ICEEICT)","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114691389","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The legal and ethical concern of medical professionals grow with watermark embedding as it erratically modifies the MIs. To minimize this concern, RONI segmentation is an essential process of MI watermarking that confines the embedding region. However, finding a suitable RONI segmentation technique in general for multimodality MIs has remained an open challenge. In this paper, we propose a generic model of RONI segmentation for multimodality MIs. We start with investigating the existing RONI segmentation techniques for MI watermarking. We present a comparative summary of popular RONI segmentation techniques and their classification and analysis. We then identify the MI requirements for RONI segmentation. The proposed RONI segmentation model is the first steps toward the development of a suitable RONI segmentation technique for MI watermarking schemes.","PeriodicalId":240329,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information Communication Technology (ICEEICT)","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132845901","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In a bi directional converter (conventional) PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) pulse is castoff for the generation of triggering pulse of the switches. We use PI and PID controller for triggering the IGBTs of DC to DC converter. A comparison is done between the three types of bidirectional dc to dc converter. In cognitive radio networks, Spectrum sensing is a major concerning issue for exploring dynamic spectrum management. This paper introduces an improved but simple continuous wavelet transform(CWT) based approach for efficient spectrum sensing of wideband channel, based on edge detection in which soft de-noising is utilized to suppress the noise level. One special feature of our approach is to use single scale transformation unlike most of the edge detection approach involves multi-scale transforms or product to suppress the noise as well as to detect edges properly which indicates frequency boundaries and identification of these edges is shown through simulation results. Performance of detection in low SNR region by our proposed method has also been improved than the conventional methods which is also illustrated through simulation result.","PeriodicalId":240329,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information Communication Technology (ICEEICT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130080551","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is one of the top-ten listed fundamentally important problems in networking. It causes many important data to be lost. Wastage of network resources results from this. It makes the network easily become gridlocked, with little or no data being transported end-to-end. To protect data transfer from this problem various models of TCP are proposed. These variants differ from each other based on the congestion control algorithm and segment loss recovery techniques they use. One of the techniques is TCP NewReno. In this paper throughput analysis of a simple stochastic model for TCP NewReno is described as a mathematical relation of time that it takes for a signal to be sent plus the length of time it takes for an acknowledgment of that signal to be received and also loss behavior which is based on some previous work done over TCP Reno. It has dissimilarity in three characteristics: model for fast recovery, formulation of timeout behavior, and use of loss event. Here a two-parameter loss model is used that can better represent the diverse packet loss framework encountered by TCP on the Internet. The significant performance advantages of TCP NewReno over TCP Reno are shown using the ns-2 simulator. This performance evaluation is considered in case of two queue management mechanisms-DropTail and RED. The main outcomes from the experiments are: 1) In a wide range of network conditions for TCP NewReno there is an analysis of proposed model which can exactly forecast the stable state throughput 2) At the time of congestion TCP NewReno perform better than the Reno and 3) The packet loss against time during data transmission suffers from less loss rate than the existing Reno model.","PeriodicalId":240329,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information Communication Technology (ICEEICT)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126454906","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
