The recorded data can be stored within the tracking unit or it may be transmitted to a data base or internet-connected computer device using a cellular, radio or satellite modem embedded in the unit. This will allow the location to be demonstrated as a map backdrop either considered in real time or later analyzing the track depending on different GPS Tracking System. This archetype is a combination of cellular device, Information and Communications Technologies (ICT), indoor and outdoor positioning systems and Server Software giving people information to guide them to their destination. The main motivation of this work is to introduce with a new tracking system which is an innovative additional device that can enable the individual to enjoy the flexibility in motion and develops an advanced sense of confidence and self-reliance.","PeriodicalId":240329,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information Communication Technology (ICEEICT)","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125683313","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed framework exploits rotation invariant uniform Local Binary Pattern (LBP) as texture feature. These features are classified using Support Vector Machine (SVM). In addition, we take advantage of the breast mammograms taken from multiple views or angles. We classify breast scans from ‘cranial-caudal’ view and ‘mediolateral-oblique’ view separately, and combine these classification scores to make an improved diagnosis. This reduces the classification error, and achieves higher recognition rate than that of either views individually. The proposed computer aided diagnosis system was evaluated on DDSM (Digital Database for Screening Mammography) data set, and was able to achieve a classification accuracy of 74%.","PeriodicalId":240329,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information Communication Technology (ICEEICT)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128353265","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

SPM introduces nonlinear refractive index that depends on intensity and GVD results for the refractive index that relies on wavelength. Both SPM and GVD impose limitations on the propagating optical pulse when chirped Gaussian pulse transmits into the fiber. To investigate the simultaneous effect of SPM and GVD with chirping, numerical analysis and simulation is carried out by split step Fourier method based on nonlinear Schrodinger equation in 3-D environment using different fibers. Results show that large effective area fiber (LEAF) gives better performance than standard single mode fiber (SSMF) or nonzero dispersion shifted fiber (NZDSF) for same bit rate, power, link length and chirping factor.","PeriodicalId":240329,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information Communication Technology (ICEEICT)","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114629374","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The skin blood perfusion on human forearm middle finger tip was recorded by laser Doppler flowmetry technique at both before and immediately after the consumption of caffeine dose. Different caffeine doses contained different amount of caffeine but approximately same amount of sugar. Recorded and processed data was investigated using spectral component within the frequency range 0.009–1.6 Hz. It was found that the consumption of caffeine free dose increased the heart activity about 85.66% where other activities showed a tiny change. Consumption of low value caffeine dose resulted notable decrement in metabolic, myogenic, and heart activities. Consumption of moderate value caffeine dose resulted significant increment in sympathetic, respiratory, and heart activities. High value caffeine dose consumption resulted remarkable increment in sympathetic (230.26%) and myogenic (263.01%) activities. The results indicated significant decrement and increment for low and high value caffeine dose consumption respectively.","PeriodicalId":240329,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information Communication Technology (ICEEICT)","volume":"124 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130708794","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As an important part of the considered system model, the radiating element is designed in the form of a microstrip patch antenna. To enhance the antenna performance, we propose two electromagnetic band gap (EBG) structures namely circular and rectangular, on the antenna ground plane. A comparison of the antenna performance parameters for the rectangular and circular EBG structures is presented. A six layer human head phantom model is designed which is located at 25 mm distance from the antenna. The specific absorption rate (SAR) of the modeled head tissue for the proposed microstrip patch antenna with circular EBG is determined using CST MWS software. The different SAR values are compared with the established standard SAR limit to provide a safety regulation of the considered microwave brain imaging system.","PeriodicalId":240329,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information Communication Technology (ICEEICT)","volume":"179 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132300534","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main notability of this design refers to its subtle dimension, flexibility and subordinate thickness that makes it perfectly suitable for implementing inside human or animal tissues. The antenna is aimed to operate in the Industrial, Scientific and Medical (ISM) band (2.4–2.4835 GHz). The thickness of this antenna is only .735 mm, which implies that this antenna is reliable to perform under bent conditions. The antenna offers a compact design with a dimension of 9.48 mm × 7.8 mm × .735 mm (54.348 mm3). Copper and Rogers R03010 are chosen as the patch material and substrate material accordingly. The antenna is encapsulated inside biocompatible material Rogers R03010 for safety concern in skin or muscle tissues. Several types of calculations and performance measurement of this antenna have been done by using CST Microwave studio in both planar and bent conditions by maintaining all the electrical properties of human skin tissue. Finally, Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) and thermal loss are evaluated to comply with the antenna safety issues.","PeriodicalId":240329,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information Communication Technology (ICEEICT)","volume":"124 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133433543","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

MVDBMSs can handle attributes taking a list of values unlike a Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) that can only accept single-valued attributes to conform first normal form (1NF). It is suitable to use multi-valued database in case where a list of values can be assigned to a single attribute in a particular record. In this case, MVDBMS can save a lot of storage space and it is quite efficient to retrieve a specific record. However, when it comes into retrieving data based on Select-Project-Join (SPJ) queries, a multi-valued database cannot handle these queries in a straightforward manner. In this paper, we propose techniques to transform a MVDBMS into a RDBMS for faster querying and retrieval. During the transformation, we carefully considered the trade-off in between execution time of queries and storage space consumed by data. Therefore, we introduce two novel techniques: one of them will generate database schema conforming to 3NF and the other will be in 1NF. We also evaluate the performance of these two techniques for different types of queries.","PeriodicalId":240329,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information Communication Technology (ICEEICT)","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132953028","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The better the quality of EEG signal ensures the better the performance (better Information Transfer Rate (ITR), high Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR), high Bandwidth (BW), and so on) of BCI paradigms. Drowsiness is one of the major contamination in EEG signal that hampers the operation of modern BCI paradigms. In this research, a non-intrusive machine vision based concept is used to determine the drowsiness from the patient which ensure the drowsy free EEG signal. In this proposed system, a camera which placed in a way that it records subjects (BCI Users) eye movement in every time as well as it can monitor the open and close state of eye. Viola-jones Algorithm is applicable for the detection of face as well as state of eye (Open, closed or semi-open) which is the key concern for the detection of drowsiness from the patient's EEG signal. After detecting this drowsiness, decision can be easily made for the perfect operation of BCI.","PeriodicalId":240329,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information Communication Technology (ICEEICT)","volume":"264 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130278845","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In CMOS technology, dynamic power accounts for 70%–90% of the total power dissipation and it largely depends on the representation of data and increases linearly with the switching activities (transition from logic level High to Low and vice versa). An efficient representation of data can minimise power consumption by reducing switching activities. In this paper, we have proposed an approach using genetic algorithm to optimise switching activities in the Huffman code for biological data compression. The performance of the approach has been evaluated by applying it to a set of biological datasets. The experiments yield that the proposed approach reduces the switching activity by 45.47% in the best case, by 36.45% in the average case, and by 16.42% in the worst case.","PeriodicalId":240329,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information Communication Technology (ICEEICT)","volume":"86 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114535346","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
