The finite element method (FEM) with perfectly matched layer boundary condition is used for the simulation of the presented OPCF. It demonstrates to a fact that for optimum design parameters this OPCF exhibits two ZDWs at 0.84 μm and 1.31 μm for fast axis and at 0.98 μm and 1.36 μm for slow axis, respectively. Moreover, high birefringence of 2.04×10<sup>−2</sup>, large nonlinear coefficient of 33 W<sup>−1</sup>km<sup>−1</sup> and low confinement loss about 0.0003965 dB/km are obtained at 1.55 μm. The base station (BS) of each cell sends a common stream of information to a group of receivers within the cell and an eavesdropper observes their communications. We are interested to protect these information from eavesdropping, so that no eavesdropper can decode any information. Moreover, we investigate the performance of maximal ratio combining (MRC), zero-forcing (ZF) and minimum mean-square error (MMSE) detectors in enhancing security in multi-cellular MIMO networks considering their presence at the receivers and eavesdropper. Our results show that although the D-MIMO system is more sensitive to interference than C-MIMO system but in the high interference region, the effect of interference on both the MIMO models are almost same. The increase in transmit antennas enhances security and the MRC and MMSE detectors perform better than the ZF detector when the number of transmit antennas is very small.","PeriodicalId":240329,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information Communication Technology (ICEEICT)","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122029887","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Different Ultrasonic sensors are used in homes, shops, to navigate, object detection and for what is known as map building. The aim of this work is to build an ultrasonic device which is basically one kind of a radar system to get exact distance and approximate 2D shape for fixed objects placed around the device based on trigonometric rules. Its uses distance of the Ultrasonic sensor with the trigonometric rules to get the shape of the object. Some sensors like laser or infrared are used to measure the distance of obstacles, and consequently enable a robot to take a decision depending on the obstacles, or lack of obstacles, around it. But they are sensitive to strong light sources containing a high level of infrared radiation, and also to the color of obstacles, cannot detect objects that reflect lasers (windows, chrome-plated objects, etc.). So we are building such kind of device that can detect the object that is neutral to high radiation and color of the object. Microcontroller, ultrasonic sensors and MATLAB software is used to achieve the aim. The result was a device that can show the approximate 2D shape in a dotted graph.","PeriodicalId":240329,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information Communication Technology (ICEEICT)","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127352927","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The cluster and classification are done first on the basis of soil features and then comparing the soil features with the common features of the corps to be cultivated, is being searched for. Here k-mean Clustering, Fuzzy c-Mean clustering and SOM (Self-Organizing Map) based clustering algorithms are used. These algorithms are analyzed according to their results to find the better classification, by which one can find the most perfectly matched cultivable crops in a certain area. The big challenge of this paper is data collection, which was gathered from Sub-districts level books containing soil and crops features, both organic and physical property of Bangladeshi soil. Most of the cluster based hierarchical routing protocols use base station (BS) as a main controller to select cluster heads (CHs) which increases energy consumption and round trip time delay. In this paper, we propose an improved energy efficient routing protocol to maximize the network life time and reduce data delay time. In this proposed protocol, new CH is selected by the current CH instead of the BS based on the maximum residual energy and minimum distance between the CH and a node among all the nodes in a cluster. Unlike the modified LEACH (MLEACH), in the proposed protocol re-clustering is occurred only when the residual energy of the current CHs lower than a threshold value. From the comparison of the simulation results it is proved that the proposed protocol provides lower cluster formation time and network failure with better network fault tolerance and packet delivery ratio than the MLEACH.","PeriodicalId":240329,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information Communication Technology (ICEEICT)","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124824101","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The specialty of this antenna is its small design compared to the previous antennas of similar type. The antenna presented in this paper is designed to operate in the Industrial, Scientific and medical (ISM) band, (2.4–2.4835 GHz). The thickness of the antenna is only 0.887mm, meaning this antenna can easily be subjected to bent conditions. The whole strip line fed antenna is embedded inside a silicon layer of 0.443mm, resulting in an overall packed dimension of 10.125mm × 8.728mm × 1.505mm. The antenna was then placed inside a human tissue model before simulating it in CST Microwave studio. All the performance parameters of the antenna was measured and evaluated in both planar and bent conditions. Finally, the antenna was fabricated and SMA female connecter was used as the port of the antenna. Performance measurements were then taken using a Network analyzer and were compared with the simulated results.","PeriodicalId":240329,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information Communication Technology (ICEEICT)","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124836150","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As such, wind turbines are becoming popular in the renewable energy world. The output of the wind turbine varies with randomly changing speed of the wind. This is a critical problem for wind turbines in general, and fixed speed wind generators in particular. However, conventional pitch controllers and governor control systems are not capable enough to keep the power system frequency to the expected stage. By using variable reference line power in pitch controller of wind turbine, frequency fluctuation can be minimized significantly. In this paper, we propose PITCHY, a novel pitch controller to minimize output frequency of wind turbines. PITCHY minimizes frequency fluctuation by generating reference power using low pass filter (LPF). We design a simulation model and evaluate PITCHY using PSCAD/EMTDC. We used a number of wind (induction) generators having varying governor control systems in our simulation. The results show that using PITCHY power system frequency fluctuation can be varied from 49.9 to 50.1 Hz.","PeriodicalId":240329,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information Communication Technology (ICEEICT)","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122210004","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Analysis is carried out to find the optical crosstalk power at the output of the multicore fiber (MCF) and the photocurrents due to optical signal and crosstalk at the output of the receiver low pass filter. The signal to crosstalk plus noise ratio (SCNR) and the bit error rate (BER) are then determined for a given data rate. The results show that there is significant amount of optical crosstalk at the output of the multicore fiber (MCF) and thus limits the maximum allowable transmission length at a given data rate. Further, crosstalk is found to be dependent on optical carrier wavelength and crosstalk is found to be minimum at certain wavelengths for a given number of cores of multicore fiber (MCF).","PeriodicalId":240329,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information Communication Technology (ICEEICT)","volume":"65 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122227511","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
