Current research highlighted the influence of hormonal fluctuations, genetic predispositions, and lifestyle factors in shaping perimenopausal mental health outcomes. This transitional period is marked by significant hormonal fluctuations contributing to heightened anxiety, depression, and sleep disturbances, affecting the women's quality of life. Traditional pharmacological treatments, including selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors and hormone replacement therapy, have limitations due to variable efficacy and side effects, emphasizing the need for precision medicine. Advancements in pharmacogenomics and metabolomics provide new avenues for individualized treatments, with genetic markers (e.g., Solute carrier organic anion transporter family member 1B1, estrogen receptor 1/estrogen receptor 2, and tachykinin receptor 3) guiding hormone therapy responses. Emerging digital health technologies, such as artificial intelligence-driven diagnostics, wearable monitoring, and telehealth platforms, offer scalable, real-time mental health support, though regulatory and clinical validation challenges remain. Furthermore, integrative treatment models combining hormone-based therapy with non-pharmacological interventions demonstrate significant efficacy in alleviating perimenopausal symptoms. Future directions should prioritize the clinical validation and ethical implementation of digital health solutions, ensuring safety, efficacy, and user accessibility. A multidisciplinary, patient-centric model, incorporating genetics, endocrinology, digital health, and psychosocial interventions, is essential for optimizing perimenopausal mental health outcomes.
","PeriodicalId":23896,"journal":{"name":"World Journal of Psychiatry","volume":"15 7","pages":"101906"},"PeriodicalIF":3.4,"publicationDate":"2025-07-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC12305144/pdf/","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"144754616","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"医学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Based on the presence of depression, patients were divided into Group A (n = 77, with depression) and Group B (n = 86, without depression). Serum levels of ET-1 and IL-6 were measured using radioimmunoassay, while serum levels of SCF and c-kit were measured using ELISA. The differences in ET-1, IL-6, SCF, and c-kit levels between Groups A and B were compared. Additionally, the differences in these biomarkers among patients with varying degrees of depression in Group A were analyzed. Pearson correlation analysis was used to examine the relationship between ET-1, IL-6, SCF, c-kit levels, and Hamilton depression rating scale (HAMD) scores. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was performed to identify factors influencing hypertension with depression. The diagnostic efficacy of individual and combined biomarkers was analyzed using receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves. Notably, these indicators are significantly correlated. Patients with septic shock accompanied by ASF tend to have a mean MEWS greater than 9, indicating severe disease progression. Therefore, it is essential to not only manage septic shock but also mitigate anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, and disturbances of consciousness. This article explores the impact of severe anxiety, depression, and sleep disorders on the prognosis of septic shock and discusses intervention strategies.
","PeriodicalId":23896,"journal":{"name":"World Journal of Psychiatry","volume":"15 7","pages":"107038"},"PeriodicalIF":3.4,"publicationDate":"2025-07-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC12305136/pdf/","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"144754621","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"医学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
