Looking back over the 20-year history of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, one can find that in terms of basic conditions, objective environment, interests and strategic orientation, its regionalism has both similarities with other similar regional organizations (such as OAS, OAU, League of Arab States, ASEAN, EU) and its unique distinctive characteristics. The article considers the regionalist attributes and regional consensus of the SCO, discusses the basis of the organization's structure and the reasons for its success, and analyzes the relationship between the collective “consensus” and the “interests” of the SCO member states. The problems involved in regional construction and cooperation in various fields are examined, the structure of the SCO is analyzed, and the features of the SCO's regionalism building and strategies for future development are summarized. The authors justify that this paradigm provides a new template for building regionalism, and in the context of the increasing challenges of globalization, the SCO needs to continuously deepen regional administration and building regional order. The common and continuous progress of regional subjects (member states), regional mechanisms (SCO) and regional building (cooperation in various fields) will help strengthen the influence of the SCO and serve as a starting point for new global management. The authors conclude that building a “community with a common future for humanity” has become the collective agreement of the SCO, which also means that the target of regionalism has been modernized in terms of concept and focus, The authors conclude that building a “community with a shared future for humanity” has become the collective agreement of the SCO, which also means that the goal of regionalism has been modernized in terms of concept and focus, which helps to strengthen the political, military, economic, cultural and other aspects of close ties, and in response to changes in international and regional situations, power structures and regional order are formed to guarantee this interconnection of people's lives. No doubt, creating a “community with a shared future” is an enormous project, and its realization requires more complex, long-term, and strenuous efforts.","PeriodicalId":236873,"journal":{"name":"World of Russian-speaking countries","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130586073","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The authors point out that Scandinavian culture has become increasingly popular over a few decades. The light, comfortable and functional Scandinavian design, which goes far beyond the Nordic countries, is particularly interesting. In their projects, the designers were able to capture their people' cultural and mental traits: they are thrifty, unhurried, and with great affection for their native nature and home. Being light and natural, Scandinavian design represents the two main aspects of human life – aesthetic pleasure and acquisition of practical things. An important current social trend toward sustainability and responsible consumption expressed in the work of Scandinavian designers makes this cultural phenomenon even more topical. The material for the research was design studios and schools, creating objects in Scandinavian style, as well as making projects for various functional spaces. The research is based on a historical and cultural approach. The authors use the methods of analysis, systematization, generalization, as well as art criticism and phenomenological one. As a result of the study, the authors conclude that, despite the convenience and functionality of technology and innovation, Scandinavian design aims at harmony and balance between practicality and aesthetic content. This style is rational, friendly and considerate to people, because initially the man changes the space, and then the space changes the man.","PeriodicalId":236873,"journal":{"name":"World of Russian-speaking countries","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122946334","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Emphasizing the relevance and significance of the theatrical and cultural description of this artistic phenomenon, the authors correlate it with the phenomenon of the independent theater. The research is based on the principles of studying and analysing the director’s theater developed by the Russian school of theater studies. The article is the first attempt of the theatrical analysis of Shakhverdyan’s creative work as a stage director. The authors emphasize the decisive role of the Russian directing theater training in the formation and development of Shakhverdyan's theater. The artistic originality of Shakhverdyan’s theater is revealed during the analysis of his performances based on Russian classical drama. The performances based on the plays by M. Y. Lermontov, A. N. Ostrovsky and A. P. Chekhov, staged by Shakhverdyan in Armenian and Russian theaters are analyzed in the article. The research is based on the analysis of video footage of the plays, descriptions of performances by critics, and on the material from conversations of one of the authors of the article with the director Shakhverdyan, as well as on other interviews given by the director. The results of the study allow us to assert that Russian theater and Russian drama occupy one of the most important places in Shakhverdyan’s theater. The productions of Russian plays demonstrate Shakhverdyan’s original directing manner. It is distinguished by his bright theatrical metaphors, lack of gravitation toward immediate relevance, and an expressed desire for philosophical, humanistic performances. Shakhverdyan's individual theatrical style is based on the Russian directing education he received, on his comprehension of Russian stage performances by outstanding Soviet and Russian directors, and on the national character of Armenian people, their mentality, temperament, vivid imagery and tragic perception of the world.","PeriodicalId":236873,"journal":{"name":"World of Russian-speaking countries","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123024789","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The article examines how, in order to prevent and combat the new coronavirus epidemic, social mobilization has played a huge role, and demonstrated the enormous advantages of the Chinese socialist system with Chinese character. To learn from China's experience, Russian scientists are trying to study the source of China's powerful social mobilization from different perspectives: economics, politics, ideology, and culture. Russian scholars' understanding of China's social mobilization is important for modernizing the country's national administration and enhancing the party's ability to manage social processes. The authors consider the importance of the values of Chinese civilization in the global historical process, identifying the spiritual reasons for the social, cultural and political strengthening of China at the present stage. The authors reveal the interpretation of the concepts “poli-cy” and “reform” in Chinese culture; and draw parallels with the interpretation of these concepts in Western discourse. The article examines the threefold model of Chinese state administration (power, wisdom, virtue) and reveals the special role of the Chinese Communist Party in the process of social mobilization.","PeriodicalId":236873,"journal":{"name":"World of Russian-speaking countries","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116904760","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The topic is also relevant because, as we know, in the XIX century publicism was rather restricted by the government, both in the choice of topics and in the ways of their coverage. In many ways, literature took on the role of defender of ordinary people, including exiled convicts. The authors examine how, in addition to the lack of basic medical care, poor sanitation, and the specific local conditions causing various illnesses in people unaccustomed to Sakhalin climate, these people had feelings such as loneliness, melancholy, despondency, and unwillingness to live - in short, all the symptoms that are now commonly referred to as depression and psychopathology. Through a number of literary devices, A. P. Chekhov creates a satirical effect and disavows the authorities' allegations. The authors show that the focus of Chekhov's book is on the living conditions of the people and the serious mistakes made by the state during the exploration of Sakhalin. Comparing Chekhov's observations with statistics and factual data from other sources, the authors emphasize that government officials do not understand the importance of Sakhalin for Russia, the need to develop its natural resources, the inadmissibility of ignoring local ethnic and cultural conditions, the neglect of people, etc. The article concludes that Chekhov's observations are closely related to legal, economic, and historical records of the time.","PeriodicalId":236873,"journal":{"name":"World of Russian-speaking countries","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123312749","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Brodsky and B. Ryzhy's poems. Using two I. Brodsky's works as an example, the authors prove that the myth of Orpheus can be incorporated into the poem structure not only directly, but also through the details of the myth without mentioning particular names. It is often not so much the proper names as the cultural context that is important for understanding cultural images. In his works, Brodsky can slightly modify the classical myth, deviate from the canon, and use variations of certain episodes; in Brodsky's poetry, the Orphic myth is sacralized. Certain excerpts from the poem Zophia were the basis for analyzing Brodsky's understanding of Orphism and the peculiarities of interpreting Orpheus' image through the image of Jesus Christ. In turn, the analysis of the poem “Singing without Music” proves the thesis that it is possible to “tell” the Orphic myth without mentioning Orpheus. The Orphic myth was studied in B. Ryzhy's work on the basis of the poems Orpheus, Over the Houses, and Remember the Rain on Titov Street. In B. Ryzhy's lyrics, the myth of Orpheus undergoes no changes, its integrity is intact; the poet uses the story of Orpheus to convey the strongest feelings of love. Whoever the subject of the poetic statement is in Ryzhy's verses, the themes of the works, incorporating the Orphic myth into their structure, remain unchanged. Using mythological imagery in the lyrics of Brodsky and Ryzhy helps to reveals eternal themes significant to either poet. It is necessary, however, to realize that different motifs in the Orpheus story prove to be important to these two authors. For I. Brodsky, closeness between the images of Orpheus and Christ, the divinity of the creative gift is significant; for B. Ryzhy, the love motif of the myth, the eternity and sincere love between two people, comes to the fore.","PeriodicalId":236873,"journal":{"name":"World of Russian-speaking countries","volume":"326 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133000980","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It has distinct Chinese features and reflects a lot of Chinese elements. Chinoiserie still has a great influence on world culture in various spheres of art. The main focus is on the formation and spread of chinoiserie in Russia, which was related to the beginning of the Enlightenment era, the development of Chinese-Russian trade, and the published works on sinology that appeared at that time. In addition, the geographical proximity of the two countries is also considered a major factor in the spread of chinoiserie in Russia. There are several stages in the existence and evolution of chinoiserie in Russia: the era of Emperor Peter the Great (18th century), when elements of Chinese architecture, sculpture, art, clothing, decor and ornaments, household items and utensils appeared. At the same time there also appeared imitations of Russian masters of Chinese decorative and applied arts. During this period of time, ordinary people are also introduced to Chinese items and products, such as cotton cloth, silk, porcelain, tea, rhubarb, etc., which are now an integral part of life in Russia. The next era of introducing Chinese culture is the 19th century. It is connected with the spread of international relations and political ties. But chinoiserie evolution at this time was no longer as rapid and multifaceted as it had been a century earlier. The author concludes that chinoiserie reached its peak in Russia in the XVIII century, gradually began to decline in the XIX century, but in the XX century and nowadays it is becoming popular again.","PeriodicalId":236873,"journal":{"name":"World of Russian-speaking countries","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114066998","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The relevance of the study lies in the fact that with the advent of globalization, cooperation between countries is increasing, and the strengthening of diplomatic relations becomes especially important. The status of diplomacy in state strategy is growing and the integration of different social spheres is gradually taking place. Thus, various forms of diplomacy, such as cultural, economic, and military ones, are emerging. At first, global healthcare diplomacy was not a priority for research in the field of diplomacy. Nevertheless, since the 21st century, SARS, Ebola virus, avian influenza, and the new coronavirus pneumonia have brought public health issues to the top of the political agenda in various countries, making the international community invest considerable effort and resources in providing medical treatment. And it brought global healthcare diplomacy to people's attention. The article shows the relationship between the concepts of “diplomacy” and “healthcare”, gives a brief overview of the main definitions of “healthcare diplomacy”, reviews the history of healthcare diplomacy in China and in Russia, its features and the main international treaties. The article substantiates the need for healthcare diplomacy between China and Russia, examines the implementation of medical diplomacy between the two countries and the particular measures taken by the governments before and after the outbreak of coronavirus pneumonia, describes the process of the struggle with the epidemic in the two countries, defines the prospects for cooperation between China and Russia in the field of healthcare diplomacy, notes that both countries can reveal their potential in such relations as basic norms, effective early warning and joint emergency response mechanisms, traditional Chinese medicine, scientific technology and medical education.","PeriodicalId":236873,"journal":{"name":"World of Russian-speaking countries","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114231519","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The article considers in detail that the way of life, the nature of social organization, life and culture, the morals and folklore of Cossacks have always been specific and thereby were of special interest of scientists, in connection with which a large number of scientific studies appeared on various aspects of this phenomenon. Special attention in the proposed work is paid to the regional features of Cossack culture and the multifaceted, internally rich images of Cossacks created by Russian writers (both classics and authors of the XX-XXI centuries), the article explains how the regional component is presented in Cossack folklore and literature, analyzes works devoted to Cossacks as a special socio-ethnic phenomenon. Cossack literature is considered by the authors of literature in the context of three historical periods: Cossack literature of the Russian Empire (before the 1917 Revolution), Cossack literature related to the era of the Soviet state (1917–1991), the latest Cossack literature (from 1991 to the present), it is noted that each era imposes its own imprint on the problems and system of images of works: the heroization of the Cossacks, who fulfill the historical mission of protecting their native land and developing new spaces, in the literature of the pre-revolutionary period, the tragic concept of the Cossacks in the literature of the Soviet era and the image of the process of reviving the spirit of the Cossacks in modern literature.","PeriodicalId":236873,"journal":{"name":"World of Russian-speaking countries","volume":"128 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133601981","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
