The conceptual analysis of abstract concepts is difficult for researchers, so the problem of reflecting the inner world of a person in the language of concepts is of particular interest. The purpose of this study is not to describe the entire structure of the concept of THOUGHT in its linguistic expression, but only to analyze the cultural codes that this concept, which relates to the mental sphere of the inner world, is represented in language. The study showed that the mental concept of THOUGHT, passing through the prism of metaphorical comparison, is represented through such cultural codes as cosmic, natural, biomorphic and objective. The conclusion is made that in the consciousness of the Russian person there are ideas about the universal mind, about thought as a material, living entity, capable of continuing to live after the death of its bearer and becoming the property of other people.","PeriodicalId":217516,"journal":{"name":"Philology & Human","volume":"59 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114176718","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The poet's interest in traditional symbolism is due to both the transitional situation that characterized the end of the 18th century and the influence of Masonic ideas on the poet. S. Bobrov's dialectical thinking manifested itself in the transformation of the traditional dichotomous structure of the world. Endowed with opposite semantics, the concepts underlying the symbols grouped around the archetypal images of Chaos and Cosmos reveal a deep relationship in the poem. For this, the poet combines the dyads of oppositions, forms a system of reflections, introduces semantic intermediaries, endows images with ambivalent meanings and allows the inversion of the dyads. Light and ray, acting as the main symbols in the poem, pull together many images (wheel, sun, moon, lamp, night, eye, etc.) around themselves and embody the idea of movement, which is the meaning and formative in the poem.","PeriodicalId":217516,"journal":{"name":"Philology & Human","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129251527","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Phonetic Level of the Text as the Interpretation Determinant. The article deals with modern paradigms of the text analysis. The text is considered the result of speech activity. The speech activity is an indispensable part of any individual’s activity. Recently, linguistics emphasizes that language is the way of representation of an individual’s mentality and consciousness. The text understanding is based on the system of concepts. As a result, the perception of the author’s idea is possible. The following approach is topical in the original text analysis. The interpreter is reconstructing the original text content within the frameworks of his/her own conceptual system. We have to mention that the absolute identity of the conceptual systems of the author and the interpreter is impossible because of their uniqueness. In cross-cultural translation the interpreter has to get the dominant meaning, emotive and phonosemantic content of the original text.","PeriodicalId":217516,"journal":{"name":"Philology & Human","volume":"60 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131552200","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The authors define criteria for distinguishing various text manifestations. As the criteria of the text as a verbal speech product, the authors consider such main features of the text as its semiotic, structural, semantic, functional and communicative characteristics. Song-and-poetry texts of various genres, such as “rock” and “pop” are discussed in the article. They are analyzed in accord with the main features of the text. In the process of analysis, both general and distinctive features of texts of contrasting genres are revealed. By analyzing the samples of the texts belonging to rock and pop, the authors claim that while determining the text type or genre, one criterion is not enough, owing to the versatility of a text. The authors conclude that it is the combination of features of song-and-poetry texts revealed in the analysis of the aspects considered in the article that can serve the instrument for differentiating between song-and-poetry texts of various genres.","PeriodicalId":217516,"journal":{"name":"Philology & Human","volume":"71 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121070052","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The material of the research includes art-related texts from the journal The Artist, religion-related texts from the journal Faith and Philosophy published in the Internet, texts of the decisions of International Court of Justice presented in the official website of the Court. The authors speak about the existence of a universal classification of terms according to which terms can be classified into one-component, two-component and multi-component ones. The article presents a comparative analysis of terminological systems of art, religion and law. The results of the empirical research proved that the sphere of art is represented by one-component terms, verbalized by nouns, two-component terms expressed by a combination adjective + noun, multi-component terms consisting of three and more lexemes. The terminological system of religion is represented by one-component and two-component terms, expressed by analogous part-of-speech models. Terminological system of law also employs one-component terms expressed both by nouns and verbs, two-component terms represented by various structural models, multi-component terms.","PeriodicalId":217516,"journal":{"name":"Philology & Human","volume":"363 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115957027","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Genetically, the work goes back to the comedy genre. Dostoevsky certainly takes into account the individual traditions of antique, Renaissance, classic comedy, uses a matrimonial plot that is frequent for the comedy repertoire. By the type of plot, «The Village of Stepanchikovo» is close to sitcoms, comedy of intrigue and comedy of characters. At the same time, the author borrowed an unexpected denouement from the genre of tragedy, and such a plot component as twists and turns, moreover, made it a permanent element of the plot. Dostoevsky gives preference to the novel as a genre more appropriate to the peculiarities of his talent and facilitating a complete, internally contradictory depiction of the «course» of life, synthesizing its various modifications: tale of chivalry, love novel, manor, moral, family, psychological, social, philosophical novel.","PeriodicalId":217516,"journal":{"name":"Philology & Human","volume":"61 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132797007","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The history of the issue on this topic originated a long time ago; it is quite extensive and causes undoubted interest. The peculiarity of the romantic view is associated with the personality of the writer and the inherent deep psychologism, psychophysics of his personality. The symbolic system in the Turgenev’s works is filled with Hegelian ideas about the inextricable relationship between the life of Nature and a man, which the writer adopted and developed. This relationship lies in the field of parallel processes occurring in them. A lot of attention in the work is paid to the forces of inertness and egoism, which, according to the author, are also engines of progress. This whole set of ideas, reflecting the various facets of human being and constituting the basis of the romantic system and the symbolism of his work, gives rise to a significant layer of symbolic details filling his works with a special artistic “sound”, where rich love symbolism has become a separate “ornament”.","PeriodicalId":217516,"journal":{"name":"Philology & Human","volume":"82 6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130706589","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
