The background of this research is the times that require the learning process to be able to follow the digital direction. This study aims to produce web-based learning media in population and environmental education courses, determine student responses and determine the average student learning outcomes. The research method used is the ADDIE development design. The product of this research is addressed to dnature.unsri.my.id. The response to student learning outcomes using the web directory shows an increase compared to the average learning outcomes without using web learning media.","PeriodicalId":217459,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 4th Sriwijaya University Learning and Education International Conference (SULE-IC 2020)","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131492993","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

They also have to submit their research to international conferences. However, there has been no handbook containing principles for students in translating Indonesian-English text or English-Indonesian text. Therefore, many students get difficulties in translating text. Some of them use Google Translate, and some others pay for expensive translation services. This study aimed to develop a book of Principles of Translation. The researcher used the ADDIE Development model by conducting five stages, Analyzing, Designing, Developing, Implementing, and Evaluating. The result of the need analysis showed that many students still used word for word translation or direct translation method without looking at how they were used together in phrase or sentence.","PeriodicalId":217459,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 4th Sriwijaya University Learning and Education International Conference (SULE-IC 2020)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127809373","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A number of senior high school students at Palembang, South Sumatera, Indonesia, were involved as participants in this study. The data were collected using meta-cognitive skills test instrument. Research results show that there are several positions of meta-cognitive skills based on its parameters, as much as 51.86 % of senior high school students stated that have conditional knowledge, 46. 98 % have declarative knowledge, 0.93 % have Information management strategies, and 0.23 % have comprehension monitoring and evaluation. That mean is more than 50% of senior high school students just have knowledge meta-cognitive but do not have regulation meta-cognitive. The scores of students’ meta-cognitive skills on biology material are 34.84. It shows that students' meta-cognitive skills in biology materials are very low. Therefore, changes to biology learning strategies are needed.","PeriodicalId":217459,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 4th Sriwijaya University Learning and Education International Conference (SULE-IC 2020)","volume":"116 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131664022","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of them is using learning media that is more attractive to students to learn. Therefore, domino card as learning media is developed to support the introduction of Indonesian endemic animals with counting material for 1 grader of elementary school. Domino cards are developed based on the ADDIE model, consisting of Analyze, Design, Development, Implement, and Evaluate that includes validation tests and field tests. The validity test consists of testing the material, language, and media. The results of the validation of the material test got a mean score of 92.65% that was included in the category of eligible for use without revision, the results of the language validity test got a score of 91.42% that was categorized as fit for use without revision and the results of the media test got 89.68% which was included in the category worth using without any revisions. The average results of students' favoriteresponses to the media got a score of 96% for which was in the very feasible categories. The development of the constructivism-based module adopted the Rowntree and Tessmer models, and the validation assessment by the experts uses Cohen's Kappa interpretation. The constructivism-based module was implemented to 189 eleven graders in Palembang, and was studied in a quasi-experimental manner. A total of 89 experimental group students used the constructivism-based module, while 100 control group students were taught using a conventional approach. Cohen's Kappa approval for matter, pedagogy, and design, on average, equals 0.736, meaning this module is valid in terms of these aspects. Findings from one-on-one testing and small group assessment showed the constructivism-based module is practical to guide students to learn chemical equilibrium and rate of reaction with the average score 4.33 and 4.32, respectively, based on Likert scale. The average gain score of posttest and pretest is equal to 0.73, the effectiveness of the high-qualified module.
