Evaluation of animals according to indicators of individual development, fattening, and meat qualities were carried out taking into account the following characteristics: live weight of young pigs on the last day of control fattening, kg; body length, cm; chest circumference behind the shoulder blades, cm; average daily gain of live weight during the period of control fattening, g; the age of reaching 100 kg live weight, days; length of the cooled carcass, cm; thickness of bacon at the level of 6-7 thoracic vertebrae, mm. The Eurosomia index was calculated due to the methodology of S. V. Akimov (2005), the biometric processing, and the analysis of the economic efficiency of the research results were carried out according to generally accepted methods. It was founded that the young pigs of the large white breed of the controlled population correspond to the 1st class and the elite class in terms of body length, age of reaching a live weight of 100 kg, lard thickness at the level of 6-7 thoracic vertebrae and length of the chilled carcass. It was established that the young pigs of the first experimental group reliably outperformed peers of the second experimental group in terms of live weight on the last day of control fattening, body length, chest girth behind the shoulder blades, average daily increase in live weight during the fattening control period, age reaching a live weight of 100 kg, the length of the chilled carcass, the length of the bacon half of the chilled half carcass by an average of 2.77%. The coefficient of discreteness of signs of individual development, fattening, and meat qualities in young pigs of the experimental groups ranges from 0.427 to 0.829 points. The presence of reliable connections (87.50%) between the Eurosomia index, development indicators, fattening, and meat qualities testify to the effectiveness of using this integrated value in selection and breeding work under conditions of compliance with the optimal level of feeding and maintenance and veterinary safety. The maximum increase in additional production was obtained from young pigs of the 1st experimental group - +2.35%, and its value are +162.47 hryvnias or 4.11 US dollars.
Scientific and Technical Bulletin оf State Scientific Research Control Institute of Veterinary Medical Products and Fodder Additives аnd Institute of Animal Biology

The high demand for poultry products leads to a rapid increase in the number of broiler chickens both in the world and in Ukraine, and at the same time to an increase in the volume of poultry waste, especially droppings and litter. Intensive and uncontrolled use of fresh broiler droppings as organic fertilizer for agricultural plants has a number of economic and ecological disadvantages. Therefore, there is a need to store (ferment) the broiler chickens droppings for a certain period of time (up to 20 months) in order to use it safely in crop production. Bacteria play an important role in the course of enzymatic processes in poultry droppings during its storage. It is of scientific interest to determine the number of bacteria in the droppings of broiler chickens with litter (cereal straw) stored for different times in the cold season. The content of microorganisms was determined in the droppings of broiler chickens. Samples were taken in January at an air temperature of 1.3 °C under the conditions of the experimental farm of the Bila Tserkva National Agrarian University from droppings 2 days after unloading from poultry houses, and which was stored for 4 and 9 months in barns. The content of CFU Bacillus spp., Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp. and Escherichia coli was determined in the litter. The indicator of KMAFAnM in the droppings of broiler chickens unloaded from poultry houses was 3.5x108. Until the 4th month of storage of the droppings, the KMAFAnM indicator in it increased. For 9 months of storage, the index of KMAFAnM in the droppings of broiler chickens decreases by 58.7 times compared to the index obtained after 4 months of composting. A group of bacteria Bacillus spp. was represented by the following species: Bacillus subtilis (dominant), Bacillus mesentericus, Bacillus megaterium and Bacillus mycoides. Colonies of Bacillus spp. sown from droppings of different periods of storage were dry, with a wrinkled surface. They were colorless and light velvety in color. The edges of the colony of this bacterium were wavy. The lowest rate of CFU Bacillus spp. was found in the droppings unloaded from poultry houses. The number of CFU Bacillus spp. in droppings that was stored for 4 months was the largest. In broiler droppings that was stored for 9 months, the CFU indicator of Bacillus spp. was 10 times lower compared to droppings that was stored for 4 months. A group of bacteria Staphylococcus spp. was represented mainly by the following species: Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus saprophyticus. CFU index of Staphylococcus spp. in the droppings unloaded from the poultry houses was 4.6x107. The largest number of CFU Staphylococcus spp. was found in droppings that were stored for 4 months. In the droppings of broiler chickens after 4 months of storage, the CFU index of Streptococcus spp. was greater than at the beginning of storage by 28
Scientific and Technical Bulletin оf State Scientific Research Control Institute of Veterinary Medical Products and Fodder Additives аnd Institute of Animal Biology

The guarantee of an effective clinical response of an animal suffering from a bacterial infection to the use of a combined drug is the synergism of its active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) with respect to a microorganism sensitive to their action, the causative agent of the disease. \u0000The article presents the results of the study of the interaction of various antimicrobial substances, which are the active substances of combined chemotherapeutic drugs present on the veterinary market of Ukraine, in Escherichia coli. The indications for the use of these drugs include the treatment of colibacteriosis, one of the most common bacterial zoonotic diseases in young farm animals. \u0000The study of the interaction of antimicrobial substances was carried out by the checkerboard method, based on the minimum inhibitory concentrations (MIC) of each API of the combination for Escherichia coli. The reference test microorganism Escherichia coli ATCC 11105 was used for the study. \u0000The interaction of oxytetracycline and neomycin caused an additive effect in Escherichia coli, when the result of the action of both substances is equal to the sum of the effects caused by each of the substances separately. \u0000The interaction of enrofloxacin and trimethoprim, enrofloxacin and gentamicin, enrofloxacin and colistin, doxycycline and colistin, and sulfadiazine and trimethoprim was manifested in synergism against Escherichia coli. In each case, the synergistic effect depends on various factors: the mechanisms of action of antimicrobial substances in combination directed at different target sites in the bacterial cell; the nature of their effect on the bacterium (act bactericidal or bacteriostatic); action in the same direction, as in the case of sulfadiazine and trimethoprim, when they compete for inhibition of different enzymatic stages of folate metabolism.
Scientific and Technical Bulletin оf State Scientific Research Control Institute of Veterinary Medical Products and Fodder Additives аnd Institute of Animal Biology

Many neurological diseases are related to the loss of blood brain barrier (BBB) function. Isolating and culturing primary BMVEC is an important means to study the function and regulation of BBB in vitro. \u0000To establish a method for isolation and culture of primary mouse brain microvascular endothelial cells (BMECs). The 7-10-days mice were sacrificed by neck removal, the cranial cavity was opened, the brain was aseptically removed and the cerebral cortex was retained. To extract brain microvascular segments, the brain underwent three D-Hank solution rinses. It was then homogenized, twice digested by enzyme, and centrifuged using a Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA) gradient. For primary culture, the brain microvascular segments were injected into gelatin-coated culture plates using DMED complete media. When the cell density reaches 90 %, the media is removed, and the cells are then given two PBS washes. A new medium was introduced after adding 1ml of the trypsin-EDTA solution to digest for 2–5 minutes for passage. \u0000Cell culture plates were rinsed and pre-cooled 95 % ethanol was added for 20 minutes after passaged cells had grown to 80–90 % of their original size. After a third wash, 1 ml of mouse factor VIII antibody was added to the culture wells, where it was left for 4 hours at 37 °C. FITC-labeled rabbit anti-mouse antibody in a volume of 1 mL was added. Under a confocal laser microscope, the plates were examined and taken pictures of. The outcome demonstrates positive expression of the marker factor VIII associated antigen. \u0000To create a cell suspension, monolayer-growing microvascular endothelial cells were chosen. 100 L of cell suspension was used to inoculate each well in 96-well plates, and the cells were then grown. On days 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7, the original medium was removed, and then 180 μL of DMEM and 20 μL of MTT were simultaneously added to each well for a 4-hour culture. After adding dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), each well's absorbance value (A value) was measured at 492 nm. It is important to maintain the vital activity of animals at various stages of their development. Keeping animals in unfavorable conditions, including man-made loads, unbalanced feeding lead to a decrease in their productivity, the occurrence of secondary disorders of a metabolic and functional nature, and a decrease in their non-specific and specific resistance. Under these conditions, the ability of the organism to mobilize protective and adaptive capabilities in response to the action of negative technological and environmental factors becomes especially important. Micronutrients and vitamins play a leading role in mobilizing the body's adaptive capabilities. It should be noted that at the moment, quite a few formulas of mineral-vitamin feed additives have been developed and registered in Ukraine for the correction of rations, which contribute to increasing the productivity and resistance of animals, improving the quality of products - milk and meat. \u0000Science and practice have proven that trace elements and vitamins affect the regulatory systems of the animal body. The mechanism of their pharmacological action is related to the intensity of protein synthesis, under their influence the activity of enzymes of carbohydrate and fat metabolism is regulated, the growth and development of animals are activated. It was also established that microelements perform a protective function of the body by eliminating radical reactions, thereby preventing damage to cell membranes and biological macromolecules. \u0000On the basis of this, it is possible to draw certain conclusions that microelements and vitamins have antioxidant activity, and accordingly increase the activity of the antioxidant protection system. In addition, they perform a number of extremely important biological functions in the body: they not only stimulate the activity of antioxidant defense enzymes, but also have antimicrobial and antifungal effects. And this, in turn, has a complex effect on the quality of products, the consumption of which can be attributed to the rational and preventive nutrition of people.
Scientific and Technical Bulletin оf State Scientific Research Control Institute of Veterinary Medical Products and Fodder Additives аnd Institute of Animal Biology

The addition of the studied additive to the diet of chickens in the first group at a dose of 0.5 and to the second group at a dose of 1 g/kg of feed increased the intensity of the bird's growth. In particular, the average daily weight gain of broilers in the experimental groups was, respectively, 11 and 11.8% higher than in the control group. \u0000At the same time, the yield of gutted broiler carcasses in the first and second experimental groups was higher, compared to the control group, by 245 and 275 g, respectively. Under these conditions, in the first experimental group with an average body weight of 2411.1 g, feed consumption during the experimental period was 4310 g/head, while feed conversion was 1.78. In the second experimental group with an average body weight of 2426.9 g, the feed consumption was 4253.3 g/head and the conversion was 1.75, while in the control group with an average body weight of 2178.4 g, the feed consumption was 4433.3 g/head, and the feed conversion was 2.03. \u0000When identifying microorganisms of the Enterobacteriaceae family, in the first research group were found: Escheriсhia coli, Escheriсhia fergusonii, Escheriсhia hermannii, Escheriсhia vulneris, Serratia odorifera; in the second experimental group: Escheriсhia coli, Escheriсhia fergusonii, Serratia odorifera, Kluyvera spp.; and in the control group: Escheriсhia terioteria enorita, Serratia oderofera cloacea, Shigella spp. Microorganisms of the genus Salmonella, and also Campilobacter and C. perfringens on day 42 in broilers of all groups were not detected. \u0000Therefore, the use of a feed additive based on spore-forming bacteria of the genus Bacillus leads to a decrease in feed conversion, an increase in the body weight of birds, and an increase in total and average daily weight gain, compared to the control group. Also was found the positive effect of feed additives on the qualitative and quantitative composition of the intestinal microflora, while the microflora of the bird is corrected in the direction of an increase in the normal flora and a decrease in pathogenic and conditionally pathogenic microflora.
Scientific and Technical Bulletin оf State Scientific Research Control Institute of Veterinary Medical Products and Fodder Additives аnd Institute of Animal Biology

Implemented and effectively functioning marketing at the enterprise is a kind of system of excellence in planning the strategy of the enterprise, covers all aspects necessary for this, makes them more measurable and aimed at constant improvement in order to achieve a specific goal, the indisputable component of which is quality. And this is an indicator of absolute confidence in one's products, their competitiveness. Therefore, one of the main areas of research of the market of veterinary medicine products is the study and forecasting of its conjuncture, the state of the economy of the industry, the results of the activities of competitors, manufacturers and suppliers of products to the market. \u0000The general purpose of market research is to determine the conditions under which the most complete satisfaction of consumer demand is ensured.
