The research was carried out in the conditions of the breeding breeder for breeding pigs of the large white breed of the experimental farm and the laboratory of animal husbandry and fodder production of the Institute of Agriculture of the Northeast of the National Academy of Sciences, as well as the laboratory of animal husbandry of the State University “Institute of Grain Crops of the National Academy of Sciences”. The work was carried out by the program of scientific research of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine No. 31, “Genetic improvement of agricultural animals, their reproduction and preservation of biodiversity” (“Genetics, conservation, and reproduction of biological resources in animal husbandry”) and No. 30 “System of organizational and technological solutions for adaptation of animals to climate change for the production of animal husbandry products (“Climate-adaptive and organic animal husbandry”). The object of the study was sows of a large white breed of French origin. The evaluation of the animals of the specified production group by indicators of reproductive qualities was carried out taking into account the following characteristics: total farrowing, live piglets total, weight, fertility, weight, milk yield, kg; weight of the nest at the time of weaning at the age of 28 days, kg, preservation, %. The viability index was calculated according to the method of V. P. Kovalenko et al. (2012), index “level of adaptation” – Smirnova V.S. (2003), selection index of reproductive qualities of the sow (SIRQS) – O. M. Tsereniuka et al. (2010). It was established that the difference between sows of different adaptation levels by age and fertile insemination is (17.0 days; td=2.70), life span (17.0 months; td=9.04), the number of farrowing obtained (3.3 of farrowing; td=13.20), the number of live piglets obtained (46.2 head.; td=10.52), multifertility (1.2 head; td=4.00), litter weight at the time of weaning at the age of 28 days (3.5 kg; td=3.21). Animals of the specified production group with a viability index variability of 90.75-144.55 points prevailed over peers with a viability index of 39.75-77.46 points in terms of age and fertile insemination, number of live piglets obtained, multifertility, nest weight at the time of weaning at the age of 28 days and conservation by an average of 11.43%. The correlation between life expectancy, duration of breeding use, signs of reproductive qualities of sows, and indices of "adaptation level" (RA) and viability (I) ranges from –0.758±0.0371 (tr=20.45) to +0.859 ±0.0228 (tr=37.62). The maximum increase in additional production was obtained from sows of the 1st experimental group of intrabreed differentiation according to the index "level of adaptation" (+3.31%) and according to the viability index (+11.24%), and its value is +155.80 and +529.08 hryvnias obtained from 1
Scientific and Technical Bulletin оf State Scientific Research Control Institute of Veterinary Medical Products and Fodder Additives аnd Institute of Animal Biology

E. tenella and E. maxima were identified from faeces samples of sick broiler chickens. For three weeks (21 days), the sick bird the feed supplement EIMERIX® was added in feed at a dose of 0.5 g per 1 kg of feed, or 100 mg of sodium monensin per 1 kg of feed (experimental group). The control group consisted of broiler chickens suffering from coccidiosis, which were not given the supplement or any other anticoccidial drugs. \u0000The main criteria for demonstrating the estimation of the feed additive EIMERIX® were: the number of Eimeria oocysts in feces; mortality and morbidity of poultry associated with coccidiosis. Additional indicators of the effectiveness of the feed additive were: average live weight; average daily increase in live weight of poultry; average daily feed consumption, the ratio of the amount of feed consumed to growth; data of bird health monitoring during the experiment. \u0000On the 21st day of the experiment, the excretion of Eimeria oocysts in the feces of broiler chickens with coccidiosis practically stopped (<100 oocysts/g of feces), what was confirmed by the absence of clinical signs of coccidiosis in the birds. Addition of EIMERIX® additive in feed contributed for the reduction of morbidity and mortality among sick birds. More live weight gains and lower feed conversion ratios were observed in Eimeria disease birds treated with a feed additive versus untreated birds. \u0000The results of the study showed that the use of EIMERIX® feed additive for broiler chickens with coccidiosis, in the recommended by the manufacturer dosage, causes a decrease of the eimeria infection degree of the bird, reduces its morbidity and mortality, and also contributes to an increase of average daily gains and improvement of feed conversion.
Scientific and Technical Bulletin оf State Scientific Research Control Institute of Veterinary Medical Products and Fodder Additives аnd Institute of Animal Biology

Combined feed-starter, which was fed to heifers of the control group, included sunflower cake, barley, wheat, oat flour, dry skimmed milk, grass clippings, chalk, table salt and standard premix P 63-2-89. PVMFA was fed to the heifers of the research group as part of the combined feed-starter in quantity 40% by weight instead of 20% sunflower cake, twice a day, starting from 20 days of age. In addition, the heifers of the experimental group additionally received sodium humate at the rate of 20 mg/kg of live weight. It was found that in the rumen content of 3- and 6-month-old heifers of the experimental group, the number of amylolytic bacteria probably increased by 7.3% and 13.6%, respectively; at 6 months, a 10.5% higher concentration of cellulolytic microorganisms was noted, as well as 18.6% number of ciliates and a probable increase in the amount of RNA phosphorus compared to control analogues was noted. The introduction of the experimental variant of PVMFA into the combined fodder-starter of the heifers of the research group contributed to an increase of hemoglobin content in blood in the 3-month age by 3.13%, total lipids – by 14.3%, AST activity – by 11.43%. In 6 months age, there was an increase in total protein content by 6.0 (Р<0.001) and a decrease in the level of urea by 25.6% (Р<0.001) compared to the control. Feeding experimental PVMFA had a positive effect on live weight gain. The average daily gains of experimental animals amounted to 726 g and were 11.2% higher than those of control animals (653 g).
Scientific and Technical Bulletin оf State Scientific Research Control Institute of Veterinary Medical Products and Fodder Additives аnd Institute of Animal Biology

Piglets become infected immediately after birth through ingestion of sporulating oocysts from previously infected litter, as sows are considered a secondary source of infection for them. Proper housing and hygiene, which reduce the accumulation of oocysts in the environment and exposure of piglets to sporulation oocysts, are key to disease prevention. \u0000The goal of the work. To determine the effectiveness of eimeriostatics for the mixed course of isosporosis and cryptosporidiosis in piglets. \u0000The effectiveness of the drugs was determined on 14-day-old piglets of the breed ''Velika Bila''. The piglets of the first experimental group were given the drug Turil 5%, the second experimental group - Brovitacoccid, the third experimental group - Amprolev-plus." The dynamics of the infestation of piglets with isospores and cryptosporidia after the use of the drugs and their effectiveness were determined on the 7th, 14th and 28th days by counting the number of oocysts in 10 fields of view of the microscope according to the method of N.P. Orlova (1956). \u0000After treatment of piglets with the drug Turil 5% on the 14th day, the release of I. suis decreased to 3.9 ± 0.1 oocysts, and on the 28th day they were not recorded, while on the 28st day C. suis was at the level 7.4±0.2 oocysts in 10 fields of view of the microscope. \u0000When using Brovitacoccide on the 14th and 28th days, I. suis was not recorded, and the infestation of piglets by C. suis was 3.5±0.2 oocysts. \u0000The best indicators regarding the reduction of oocyst excretion were obtained in the group of piglets treated with the drug Amprolev-plus. On the 14th day, only the release of I. suis oocysts was recorded (5.1±0.1 oocysts in 10 fields of view of the microscope), and on the 28th day, the release of C. suis and I. suis oocysts was not recorded. \u0000On the 14th day, the effectiveness of Brovitacoccsid against I. suis and Amprolev-plus against C. suis was 100%, and already on the 28th day, 100% effectiveness of Amprolev-plus also showed against I. suis.
Scientific and Technical Bulletin оf State Scientific Research Control Institute of Veterinary Medical Products and Fodder Additives аnd Institute of Animal Biology

Piperazine and its derivatives are well-known anthelmintic drugs used in human and veterinary medicine. Piperazine is a heterocyclic compound without any chromophore groups with a low molecular weight (86.1 g/mol), which makes its detection in biological samples by LC-MS/MS difficult. We have developed the confirmatory technique for the direct UPLC-MS/MS assay of piperazine residues (without prior derivatization) in animal tissues after sample purification using solid-phase extraction. The proposed sample preparation includes homogenization, liquid-liquid extraction using acetonitrile, concentration and purification of samples from matrix components using SPE cartridges Oasis HLB (Waters) and with additional concentration of the eluate by drying. The analysis of the prepared samples was carried out by the method of ultra high performance liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometric detection using the precursor ion of 87.0 m/z and product ions of 43.9 and 70.0 m/z (ES+ ionization, multiple reactions monitoring mode). \u0000In order to experimentally confirm the fitting-for-purpose of the developed confirmatory method for clinical studies of veterinary drugs based on API piperazine and to assess the safety of food products of animal origin for piperazine residues, the validation of the developed UPLC-MS/MS method for the determination of piperazine in muscle tissues and liver of pigs was carried out using approaches described in EMEA/CVMP/VICH/463202/2009 and in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2021/808. In the process of UPLC-MS/MS technique validation, various key operating parameters were established for both investigated matrices: limit of detection, limit of quantification, linearity, specificity, accuracy, trueness. In particular, it was established that the developed method provides determination of piperazine residues in muscle tissues and liver of pigs with a sensitivity of 50 and 400 μg/kg, respectively. The developed and validated confirmatory UPLC-MS/MS method for the determination of residual amounts of piperazine is highly sensitive, highly selective and rapid, appropriate for the control and monitoring of the safety of animal meat and liver samples, as well as to provide analytical support for clinical studies of veterinary drugs based on API piperazine and its derivatives.
Scientific and Technical Bulletin оf State Scientific Research Control Institute of Veterinary Medical Products and Fodder Additives аnd Institute of Animal Biology

Chromatographic separation was performed by means of HPLC RP columns packed with C18 (250×4.6 mm or 150×4.6 mm, 5 µm) using a mixture of acetonitrile and purified water as a mobile phase. The isocratic mode of elution was carried out for 10-15 min. Nicarbazin retention time depended on the eluent flow rate and ranged from 2.4 to 8.8 min. The repeatability of measurements was assessed by analyzing the calibration curve of nicarbazin standard solution. Feed samples were extracted with dimethylformamide. The samples were concentrated by drying, dry residues were reconstituted by the mobile phase, degreased with hexane and subjected to chromatographic separation. The specificity of the analytical method was tested by comparing the chromatographic separation of the feed sample spiked with nicarbazin standard solution with the control feed sample. The extraction degree of the spiked feed samples in the range of 20.0-50.0 mg/kg of nicarbazin was considered to determine the bias as the practical assessment of the validation parameters: trueness, linearity, repeatability and intermediate precision. The method was linear over this range of nicarbazin concentrations. The average degree of nicarbazin extraction from spiked feed samples is 99.1%. The correlation coefficient of the matrix matched calibration curve was more than 0.99. The evaluation of the intermediate precision of nicarbazin determination was estimated using different chromatographic columns over a long period of time. Validated HPLC-UV technique for the assay of animal feed and veterinary drugs based on nicarbazin has been introduced into the routine laboratory practice.
Scientific and Technical Bulletin оf State Scientific Research Control Institute of Veterinary Medical Products and Fodder Additives аnd Institute of Animal Biology

The research was conducted in SE DG "Oleksandrivske" Vinnytsia region (Forest-Steppe zone, n=714), the LLC JV "Imeni Volovikova" Rivne region (Polissya zone, n=1,840) and the SE "Experimental farm "Askaniyske" (Steppe zone, n=926 ) on firstborn and full-grown (III lactation) animals. \u0000It was found that cows of the Chif line 1427381 (6384 kg) were the most productive in the first lactation in the Forest Steppe zone, in the third - Eleveishn line 1491007 (7325), in the Polissya zone – Starbak line 352790 for both lactations (6126 and 6521 kg, respectively), and in the Steppe zone – Annas Adema 30587 lines (6570 kg and 7482 kg). The highest content of fat in the milk of the SE DG "Oleksandrivske" was found in the first-borns of the Valiant line 1650414 (3.65%) and in full-aged cows of the Starbak line 352790 (3.59%), in the LLC JV "Imeni Volovikova" – Eleveyshn 1491007 (3.67 %) and Valiant 1650414 (3.68%), in SE "Experimental farm "Askaniyske" – Chif 1427381 (4.19%) and Bell 1667366 (4.19%). \u0000It is worth noting that the lowest milk yield for the first lactation in the above-mentioned farms was observed, respectively, in cows of lines Haneve 1629391 (5465 kg), Valiant 1650414 (4545 kg) and Bell 1667366 (6055 kg), for the third lactation - in individuals of lines Valiant 1650414 (6633 kg), Eleveishn 1491007 (6058 kg) and Bella 1667366 (6464 kg). In the Forest Steppe zone, the first-borns of the Eleveyshn 1491007 and Starbak 352790 lines were the least fat-milk – 3.59%, and full-aged cows of the Chif 1427381 and Valiant 1650414 lines – 3.56%, in the Polissya zone – the Chif 1427381 and Starbak 352 lines – 3.62% 790 – 3, 62%, and in the Steppe zone – the Annas Adem 30587 line for both lactations – 3.95 and 3.89%, respectively. \u0000Variance analysis confirmed the conditionality of the phenotypic variability of the quantitative traits of milk production depending on the lineal belonging of cows established by the comparison of group averages. At the same time, the line had a more significant effect on hope than on fat. Depending on the farm and lactation, the strength of the influence on the milk fat content was in the range of 4.1–21.1%, and in the range of .4–12.4%. \u0000Therefore, the linear belonging of cows to some extent can serve as a criterion for predicting their milk productivity.
Scientific and Technical Bulletin оf State Scientific Research Control Institute of Veterinary Medical Products and Fodder Additives аnd Institute of Animal Biology

For the treatment of pneumonia in young cattle, benzylpenicillin, aminopenicillins (amoxicillin, ampicillin), tetracyclines (oxytetracycline, doxycycline), spectinomycin, combination of sulfonamide and trimethoprim, tiamulin, macrolides (tylosin, spiramycin, tilmicosin, tulathromycin, gamithromycin), fluorphenicol, cephalosporins of the third or fourth generations (ceftiofur, cefquinome), fluoroquinolones (enrofloxacin, danofloxacin, marbofloxacin) are mainly used. \u0000One of the most common diseases of calves from birth to 3 months of age is gastroenteritis with a complex of diarrheal symptoms. Bacterial agents that cause diarrhea include pathogenic escherichia, salmonella, clostridia, citrobacteria, enterococci, yersinia, pseudomonads, campylobacter, and others. Opportunistic microorganisms, what include bacteria of the Enterobacteriaceae family, are played a special role in the occurrence of diseases of the digestive tract of young cattle. \u0000Etiotropic therapy of bacterial intestinal infections of calves with diarrhea syndrome is aimed at the causative agent of intestinal infection in the blood due to bacteremia and in the small intestine due to bacterial growth. Antimicrobial drugs of the first choice for the treatment of diarrheal enteritis of calves are parenteral amoxicillin and ampicillin, amoxicillin with clavulanic acid, a combination of sulfonamide/trimethoprim, and the second choice are cephalosporins of the third (ceftiofur) and fourth (cefquinome) generations. Aminoglycosides (neomycin, gentamicin, apramycin, spectinomycin) and fluoroquinolones are the last choice for the treatment of bacterial intestinal infections of calves. For the treatment of colibacteriosis and salmonellosis of calves, colistin, an antibiotic of the polymyxin group, what is a critically important antimicrobial drug for both veterinary and human medicine, is often used. \u0000It is important that the choice of means of etiotropic therapy of bacterial respiratory and intestinal infections of cattle is based on the antimicrobial sensitivity of the pathogen (pathogens) of the disease, what will increase the effectiveness of treatment and minimize the selection of antibiotic-resistant strains of microorganisms.
Scientific and Technical Bulletin оf State Scientific Research Control Institute of Veterinary Medical Products and Fodder Additives аnd Institute of Animal Biology

That is why the purpose of the work was to conduct a field study to evaluate the effectiveness of the researched drug "Profiverm 1%" (solution for injections) in comparison with the drug "Brovermectin" (solution for injections) against ecto- and endoparasitic infestations of dogs of various breeds, age and gender. \u0000According to the results of the acarological examination of the dogs of the experimental and control groups, it was established that they were parasitized by the ear mite Otodectos cynotis with an intensity of 9 to 24 specimens on the surface of the animal's auricle, with an average intensity of infestation of 16.4 ± 1.24 mites per animal. Clinical signs of infection were manifested by itching, the presence of atypical contents in the ears, otodectous foci in the form of scabs and crusts. \u0000After subcutaneous injection of the studied drug "Profiverm 1 %" for 7 days, its effectiveness for otodectosis in dogs was 69.7 %, and after the use of the comparison drug "Brovermectin" – 67.6 %. On the 14th day after treatment of dogs with the studied drug "Profiverm 1%", its effectiveness was 95.0 %, and the effectiveness of the comparative drug "Brovermectin" was 93.7 %. On the 21st day of the experiment, both drugs showed 100 % effectiveness in otodectic infestation of dogs. \u0000According to the results of helminthological studies, the animals of the experimental and control groups were found to be spontaneously infected with endoparasites, the causative agents of nematodes: Toxocara canis with an intensity of invasion (II) from 98 to 156 eggs in one gram of faeces (ЕGF), Toxascaris leonina – from 68 to 118 ЕGF and Ancylostoma caninum – from 36 to 78 ЕGF. Clinically, nematodes in dogs were manifested by a depressed state, deterioration of appetite, mild diarrhea and vomiting were observed in some animals, paleness of the mucous membranes was noted. \u0000The obtained results show that for spontaneous toxocariasis infestation in dogs on the 7th day after deworming, the effectiveness of the studied drug "Profiverm 1%" was 92.5 %, and the comparison drug "Brovermectin" was 90.0 %. On the 14th day after deworming the animals, the effectiveness of both drugs was 100 %. \u0000In case of spontaneous toxascarosis infestation of dogs, it was established that on the 7th day after deworming, the effectiveness of the studied drug was 94.1 %, and the effectiveness of the comparison drug was 92.4 %. On the 14th day after deworming the animals, the effectiveness of both drugs was 100 %. \u0000Helminthological studies established that the effectiveness of veterinary drugs was 100% for spontaneous аncylostomosеs infestation in dogs 7 and 14 days after the use of the researched drug and the comparator drug in the recommended doses. \u0000Field tests showed that the veterinary drug "Profiverm 1 %" and "Brovermectin" with single subcutaneous use in the recommended doses of the manufacturer wer
Scientific and Technical Bulletin оf State Scientific Research Control Institute of Veterinary Medical Products and Fodder Additives аnd Institute of Animal Biology
