In essence, it aims to elucidate the significance and implications of 1980s City pop as a popular music genre. The 1970s, which is closely associated with the emergence of City pop, marked a turning point from counterculture to commercial culture, representing a period where the existing musical identity evolved into a new form of music. This transformation can be observed in the music of ‘Happy end’, which captured the fading image of old Tokyo due to Japan's economic development, and it further evolved into Japanese AOR, New music, and eventually City pop. Notably, 1980s City pop can be seen as music that is rooted in the sensibilities of the city and reflects the image of Tokyo during the economic bubble era. This study holds significant importance in examining the birth of City pop influenced by western urbanization in 1980s Japan and its distinctive characteristics as popular music.","PeriodicalId":214583,"journal":{"name":"The Korean Society of Culture and Convergence","volume":" 8","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139197690","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to compare the similarities between the two, a convergent perspective was sought to talk about the play in poetry and to talk about poetry in the play. Some previous studies on the convergence of poetry and drama have fixedly defined the convergence concept of poetry and drama as a dichotomous diagram of what is poetry and drama. Studies that organize poetry and drama in a dichotomy have two limitations. First, poetry limits the infinite possibility of being an art prototype. Second, it excludes various morphological possibilities that the dismantling of the play could change. In the end, this study sought poetic possibilities by comparing Yun Sabina's play “A flower is not a flower” with Kim Chunsoo's poem ‘Flower’, leaning on a perspective that supports convergence, rather than looking at the relationship between poetry and drama in a dichotomous way.","PeriodicalId":214583,"journal":{"name":"The Korean Society of Culture and Convergence","volume":"60 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139198428","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Following the craze of the new Korean Wave, new cases of language contact and translation are emerging, focusing on fandom terminology and expressions. Fragmentary Korean expressions, which used to be nothing more than a temporary trend among young people, have now been used for years. Furthermore, it is becoming established as a unique expression showing derivative expressions and formalized translation patterns. This paper first analyzed the translation cases of Chinese, which had a strong influence on the formation of the Chinese character cultural sphere, and as a result, several meaningful characteristics were derived. Based on this, it is worth noting that the formation of global fandom and the new language contact pattern centered on fandom terms have broken down Asian cultural boundaries and acted as an important medium for globalization.","PeriodicalId":214583,"journal":{"name":"The Korean Society of Culture and Convergence","volume":"86 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139201119","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It sets up causal variables at both domestic and international levels and, through an analysis of four countries that have been subjected to economic sanctions, seeks to determine which variables mitigated the effectiveness of economic sanctions. Domestic variables are set as the political system and economic size of the sanctioned country, while international variables include trade networks, foreign direct investment, involvement of international organizations, and alliance formation (presence of assisting countries). Analyzing the causes, progress, and effects of economic sanctions imposed on Iran, Russia, Myanmar, and India-Pakistan, it is found that both domestic and international variables had an impact. Particularly, the presence of assisting countries, known as the third-country effect, is analyzed to have a positive impact on sanction acceptability. Applying this to North Korea to verify the impact of the wavering effectiveness of economic sanctions due to the third-country effect, the study aims to find implications for efficient economic sanction measures that can lead to behavioral changes in North Korea in the future.","PeriodicalId":214583,"journal":{"name":"The Korean Society of Culture and Convergence","volume":"13 7","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139205236","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The survey was conducted through a total of 200 questionnaires from Aug 28th to Sep 11th in 2023. Data from an survey of 188 valid samples were collected with SPSS 18.0. program and AMOS 18.0 program presented the evidence for a reasonable level of validity and reliability of this model. The results are as follows. First, among academic stress, emotional exhaustion and cynicism did not have a negative effect on self-efficacy. On the other hand, decreased efficacy was found to have a negative effect on self-efficacy. Second, self-efficacy was found to have a negative effect on school intention, student intention, and parent intention on dropout intention. Third, self-efficacy was found to have a mediating effect between decreased efficacy and dropout intention. The significance of this study is to find ways to maintain college life by increasing self- efficacy in order to prevent college students majoring in airline services in the post-corona era from having the intention of dropping out while experiencing academic stress. Through this, we are seeking ways to reduce the intention to drop out by increasing the self-efficacy of college students at local universities that are facing a crisis due to a decrease in the school-age population.","PeriodicalId":214583,"journal":{"name":"The Korean Society of Culture and Convergence","volume":"15 7","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139205733","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
