A Study on the Direction of Dokdo Education in University Liberal Arts Education

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to study the direction of Dokdo education in university liberal arts education. This study collected and analyzed data through a survey of university students. The purpose of Dokdo education is set with the ideology of Dokdo education centered on educated people in the era of the 4th industrial revolution and the goal of Dokdo education centered on forming an identity as an educated person. Considering civic education, convergence education, and history education, the curriculum Dokdo education is organized into type of Dokdo education based on the education values, content of Dokdo education based on the education contents, and organization of Dokdo education based on the education related subjects. The operation of Dokdo education is based on systematic educational support in connection with elementary, secondary schools and educational improvement through horizontal cooperation.
