Applying the value function effect of prospect theory into investigating the change of the reference point, we could find that the pricing strategy of legitimate supplier not only affects their own interests, but also may change the illegal activity of pirate and the purchase intention of consumer notably. For legitimate supplier, adopting low-price strategy is more conducive to increase their own interests, and could also mitigate the piracy problem. When using the weighting function effect of prospect theory reasonably, we could reduce the probability at which consumer chooses pirate effectively, and lower the cost of supervision relatively. In final, we point out the directions of future research, that is, how to apply prospect theory into exploring piracy control strategies combinations.","PeriodicalId":206364,"journal":{"name":"2014 11th International Conference on Service Systems and Service Management (ICSSSM)","volume":"422 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116709618","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To cope with this challenge, it is important for Chinese manufacture to provide service provision which is conceptualized as servitization. The servitization of manufacture is responded by innovating and creating products and services that meet customers' needs. This paper provide a perspective on the nature of service infusion in manufacturing companies based on a case analysis in the context of a solution for Sinosteel Xingtai Machinery & Mill Roll Co., Ltd. A new paradigm of servitization that has the potential to minimize the price competition of mill roll industry is emerging. The mill roll maker has implemented the new servitization paradigm called “function pricing” which realized the transformation for service supplier. The servitization of the mill roll maker shows the innovation capabilities of the transition from selling products to selling integrated products and services. This case presents that the company with significant manufacturing capabilities possesses the advantage of integration between manufacturing and service. The main finding is that the successful servitization of manufacturing requires advanced technology, human resources and organization layouts, in order to get economic benefits. The mill roll maker benefits for the innovation, encouraging the optimum development of the enterprise. Therefore, the transformation of manufacturing is a concept of significant potential value, providing routes for them to exploit higher value business activities.","PeriodicalId":206364,"journal":{"name":"2014 11th International Conference on Service Systems and Service Management (ICSSSM)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122067593","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To satisfy larger demand of integrating catering supply chains, a new catering supply chain mode under the core of supply chain integrator is put forward, which has financial institutions, professional processors and the third party logistics enterprises. Compared with the present modes, the new one realizes centralized procurement, centralized processing and centralized distribution, reduces the risk of the breakage of capital flow, ensures food safety and is suited for more restaurant chains or more detached restaurants.","PeriodicalId":206364,"journal":{"name":"2014 11th International Conference on Service Systems and Service Management (ICSSSM)","volume":"89 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-08-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123666321","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Our study also investigates firm-specific characteristics that impact the choice between, these earnings management strategies. The empirical results show that when firms have motivations to turn losses into gains and to decrease the punishing cost due to fraud being found, firms tend to choose conforming earnings management. This study provides a better understanding of the relationship between management's motivation and the choice of earnings management strategies.","PeriodicalId":206364,"journal":{"name":"2014 11th International Conference on Service Systems and Service Management (ICSSSM)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-08-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125203648","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The demand faced by each facility is not only sensitive to its own retail price and guaranteed delivery time, but also to the differences between the two prices and guaranteed delivery times. We extend the works in the literature by considering competition and cooperation in duopoly. We analyze three different competition scenarios where the two facilities compete exclusively on retail prices, exclusively on guaranteed delivery times and both on retail prices and guaranteed delivery times, and three different cooperation scenarios where they cooperate exclusively on retail prices, exclusively on guaranteed delivery times, and both on retail prices and guaranteed delivery times. Research results reveal that the competition on retail prices for given guaranteed delivery times is as same as the Bertrand game, reaching to the Nash-Bertrand equilibrium, the equilibrium guaranteed delivery time of each facility for given retail prices only depends on its own retail price, and when price is a decision variable, the gross profits of the facilities increase significantly via coordinating retail prices.","PeriodicalId":206364,"journal":{"name":"2014 11th International Conference on Service Systems and Service Management (ICSSSM)","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124459303","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For each commodity, the MSMCF is to determine its source node, to choose a single path linking this chosen source and destination nodes, and to allocate bandwidth such that the total transportation cost is minimized. Since the MSMCF is NP-hard, we develop a simulated annealing based heuristic to solve it. We evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm over 175 randomly generated instances. The experimental results show the proposed heuristic is an efficient and effective method for the MSMCF.","PeriodicalId":206364,"journal":{"name":"2014 11th International Conference on Service Systems and Service Management (ICSSSM)","volume":"24 22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124473712","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

And the fundamental purpose of service innovation is to meet the customers' basic needs and stimulate the potential demands by creating new services, so the relationship between service innovation and customer satisfaction under this background is particularly significant. Firstly, on the basis of the dimensions of customer participation and service innovation, I put forward 19 hypotheses and establish the model of the relationship between commercial bank service innovation and customer satisfaction based on the customer participation. Then under the background of commercial banks in China, according to the dimensions I select 23 measure indexes to make the questionnaire survey. This article is mainly aiming at the bank customers for questionnaires, and analyzes systematically and verifies the model based on the data obtained by using factor, correlation and multiple linear regression analysis. Finally, the related decision-making recommendations for the current situation of commercial banks are drawn.","PeriodicalId":206364,"journal":{"name":"2014 11th International Conference on Service Systems and Service Management (ICSSSM)","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126784412","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Three mode choice equilibrium models are built without road congesting pricing, with road congesting pricing and with the combination of road congesting pricing and transit subsidies, respectively. With mild assumptions, we prove that the number of highway users decreases and the total social cost of service system increases with subsidy share, respectively. Numerical analysis indicates that there exists an optimal subsidy share so as to minimize the social inequity measured by Gini coefficient. Furthermore, with the increase of user heterogeneity, the Gini coefficient is larger and the total travel cost is lower.","PeriodicalId":206364,"journal":{"name":"2014 11th International Conference on Service Systems and Service Management (ICSSSM)","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126857888","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
