One type of distance learning is online learning. Indeed, when students and teachers conduct learning connected via the internet, it becomes difficult to interact, especially synchronously. The interaction of students and teachers is inevitable in learning. Therefore, this paper investigates the challenges confronted by vocational high school teachers when interacting with students through synchronous online learning. A qualitative approach and In-depth interview techniques were used on five teachers in the Agribusiness Processing Agricultural Products program. One of the challenges confronted by teachers in interacting synchronously is when students close their video cameras. There are various arguments and attitudes of teachers regarding this phenomenon. Teachers were astonished, concerned, and miffed. It is a form of disrespect for the teachers. Generally, teachers tolerate this phenomenon because of technical problems encountered by students, for example, weak signals and unsupported devices. Finally, one alternative to deal with this phenomenon is to implement varied platforms outside synchronous.","PeriodicalId":20610,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 4th International Conference on Innovation in Engineering and Vocational Education (ICIEVE 2021)","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"73649348","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the most preferred ways to enjoy entertainment is by watching performances. For that purpose, performance halls had been built in numerous places. But most of it combined the three types of performances, namely music, dance, and drama into one multipurpose building. Each of these types of performances has its own acoustic characteristics. Therefore, the acoustic system in a multi-purpose building is not ideal. Especially for classical music performances which need special treatment for their acoustic system. However, the general public’s preference for classical music is relatively low. Nevertheless, classical music in Indonesia has a high potential. There are numerous classical music communities from various circles in society. The purpose of this paper is to design a concert hall that aims to accommodate the activities of the classical music community and to create connectivity between the general public and classical music communities. Thus, it needs a place to grow and develop a sense of appreciation towards classical music in the general public. The use of metaphor architecture in this project is to transfer classical music concepts into architectural concepts. In this case, the sonata form is chosen as an object of metaphor because it is the most commonly used musical form in classical music pieces. The concept of sonata form is interpreted in the concert hall design through the building massing and zoning.","PeriodicalId":20610,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 4th International Conference on Innovation in Engineering and Vocational Education (ICIEVE 2021)","volume":"42 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"88838655","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
