This research was designed as a quantitative study and descriptive analytical method was followed. Design/methodology/approach-) Secondary data was used to measure the variables to specify the effects of independent variables on the dependent variable. Data was collected from various internal and external resources. The collected data were analyzed by using eviews statistical package version 7 to explain the results of data. The analysis firstly tests unit roots for the DS, FDI and GDP by using Augmented Dickey-Fuller (ADF) and Phillips-Perron (PP) tests. Secondly assesses the equilibrium relationship between GDP and its probable determinants of DS and FDI through applying Johansen and Juselius (1990) tests finally determine the causality direction between the variables employed Granger-causality tests. Findings The study results indicate that there is long run relationship between domestic savings and foreign direct investments with real income growth in Yemen. Foreign direct investment has statistical, significant, and inelastic effect on real income (-0.299) while domestic savings are not statistically significant in the long term coefficients. Error correction model exposes that Yemeni real income converges to its long term equilibrium level reasonably low at -0.01884% by the foreign direct investment and domestic savings contributions; however, this coefficient is statistically significant. Lastly, Granger causality tests illustrate that there is a bidirectional relationship between DS, FDI and economic growth. Savings is driven force but foreign direct investments are output. If savings and income increase, the foreign direct investments were attracted more. Also, this study has confirmed that saving is an income driven in Yemen. Limitation of Study: That there is no accurate information about the previous years before the unity. So that the researcher ignores that information and start from unity country generated. Another limitation, is that focus only on Yemeni economy and the around circumstances with no concentrate on international variables because There is no significant impact on world economy as a result of economic fluctuation in Yemen. Also this research aims to study how to develop investment climate in Yemen as well as attract new FDI to Yemen.","PeriodicalId":205934,"journal":{"name":"Journal of the faculty of Education","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122014283","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

But there is no comprehensive linguistic description of Indian English. The reasons are: no one pattern of spoken English; diversified pronunciation and spoken English problems in each State. When all these problems converge towards one English, a standard variety of Indian English is possible. The solution is the ‘Arpiciency’ model. Implementing ‘Arpiciency’, through tailor-made English coursebooks can possibly bring solution. Different pronunciation problems are to be dealt to acquire one standard variety of Indian English. This study attempts to address this need by reviewing the English textbooks of Andhra Pradesh. The review reveals the gaps in meeting the objectives. Additionally, ‘National Assessment Centre’ plans to guide ‘school boards to shift assessment patterns towards meeting the 21st century skills’ through NEP 2020. So, there is a need for tailor-made English coursebooks focusing on ‘Indian’ students’ speaking problems. ‘Arpiciency’ proposes to focus on listening and speaking. The study focuses on Phonetics and Spoken English. It tries to offer solutions to pronunciation and speaking problems of Telugu speaking English learners pertaining to segmental, suprasegmental levels and functional aspects of English to design tailor-made coursebooks using ‘Arpiciency’. Keeping the diversity of Indian languages in view, similar study in other mother tongues eventually result in a standard Indian English.","PeriodicalId":205934,"journal":{"name":"Journal of the faculty of Education","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128146492","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This complexity, along with the diverse roles assigned to ESL teachers, brings several challenges ranging from classroom management to parental expectations. Teachers need systematic support to learn more effective practices to deal with daily challenges, which in turn promote the achievements of students. It is indeed the need of the hour to ensure continuous professional development to equip teachers with a conducive attitude, to update their subject and content knowledge and also to hone their pedagogical skills.","PeriodicalId":205934,"journal":{"name":"Journal of the faculty of Education","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114622680","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Changes in the educational scenario with the upheveal of the pandemic have been quite of a storm. A classroom transaction earlier used to be a closed intimate framework, where it was practically impossible for anyone other than the teacher and the students to be present. That structure has changed in totality with the advent of digital sessions. From a preschool learner to the postgraduates in colleges, all have been transformed into virtual learners. The changeover has been too sudden that the entire school fraternity has been battling hard to arm themselves with the virtual reality devices they were previously alien too. This paper is an attempt to look into the various facets of online language teaching of learners in higher secondary classes. Augmented reality, virtual reality, online tools, videos and google classrooms have taken over the erstwhile classroom mode and it is with apprehension that we look into how the learners have welcomed this abrupt change. If the need of the hour is an alternative language pedagogy, then the language teachers are to fall in place for the change too. \u0000 ","PeriodicalId":205934,"journal":{"name":"Journal of the faculty of Education","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125022314","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In general, folktales include distinguishing structural and linguistic features. This paper seeks to explore the folk narratives and argues that there are certain pedagogical benefits in using folktales to understand culture and for teaching English as a second language (ESL). It further examines how folktales can be employed in ESL classrooms to augment the learners’ language skills, communicative skills, vocabulary and cultural knowledge. In the study, different folktales of Manipur and Meghalaya, two states in the north eastern part of India, are explored to enhance the learner’s language learning process and cultural awareness.
