Using a splitmouth design, the experimental teeth (maxillary and mandibular premolar and molar) were sealed with fissure sealant; while, teeth of another side of mouth acted as control group. The retention and effectiveness of sealant were carefully inspected after 1, 3, 6 and 9 months. \nThe results revealed that, after 9 month, the retention and effectiveness rate was 98.3 and \n96.9 percent respectively. Statistically, there was no significant difference between the different groups (P< 0.05). 本研究的主要目的是评估裂隙密封剂Fisseal Extra (ProMedica,德国)在也门Thamar学龄儿童中预防龋齿的保留和有效性。从塔玛的不同学校随机抽取85名5- 12岁的儿童进行调查。采用裂口设计,将实验牙(上颌和下颌前磨牙和磨牙)用裂隙密封剂封闭;另一侧口腔的牙齿作为对照组。分别于1、3、6、9个月后仔细观察密封胶的保持性和有效性。结果显示,9个月后,保留率和有效率分别为98.3%和96.9%。两组间比较差异无统计学意义(P< 0.05)。结果表明,该牙槽充填剂固位率高,效果好,可用于防治学龄儿童龋病。
