The present study aimed to assess the effectiveness of Memory package to improve long term memory and problems related to memory among Children of age group 6-8 years at selected schools of Belagavi. A evaluative approach with pre experimental one group pre test post test design was adopted for the study. The samples from the selected schools were selected using purposive sampling technique. The sample consist sixty rural high school students from selected schools. The tools used for data collection was structured memory assessment scale. Development of tool involved the steps of preparing first draft, content validity and reliability. Tool was found valid and reliable. Pilot study was conducted to find out feasibility of conducting study. Data collection procedure: Data was collected after obtaining administrative permission from selected rural high schools, Belagavi. The investigator personally explained the participants the need and assured them of the confidentiality of their responses. The data analysis was done by using both descriptive and inferential statistics.","PeriodicalId":205602,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Research in Paediatric Nursing","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127393487","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

At first the data were collected from the control group to avoid contamination. Three sessions of Origami for 3 days were conducted for children in experimental group. Each session was conducted for 30 minutes per child. The children were taught to make colorful animal, fish, fortune teller, frog etc. For the control and experimental group, the stress and anxiety were assessed after 3 days using the tools. The findings of the study reveal that Experimental group had significant reduction in the stress and anxiety in comparison to control group at p <0.001. Hence providing Origami to hospitalized children is effective in reducing Stress and anxiety.","PeriodicalId":205602,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Research in Paediatric Nursing","volume":"106 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124950793","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Newborns need a special care and intensive monitoring and support during this critical period of adaptation. It is possible to increase perinatal survival and quality of human life through prompt and adequate management of newborn. New born care is strongly influenced by women’s social status, health status, home care practices for mother and new born care services. Preparation of mothers for newborn care should start from antenatal period, because it is necessary that all pregnant women should know the different aspect of newborn care such as breast feeding, maintenance of personal hygiene, immunization, thermoregulation and umbilical cord care. A descriptive study was conducted among 100 primigravida in selected rural areas of Byahatti PHC Hubballi. Non Probability; convenient sampling technique was used to select the sample and data was collected by structured Interview Schedule. The research design used for the study was Descriptive Survey Research design. Data analysis was done by using descriptive and inferential statistics. Overall result of the study revealed that the level of knowledge regarding new born care revealed that 33 (33%) had good knowledge, 33 (33%) had average knowledge and 34 (34%) had poor knowledge. Whereas, in the level of attitude regarding new born care revealed that 22(22%) had positive attitude, 61 (61%) Neutral attitude and 17 (17%) had Negative attitude. The study concluded that the Knowledge score was found to be poor and attitude scores were neutral regarding new born care.","PeriodicalId":205602,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Research in Paediatric Nursing","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131446219","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is an age of transition when an individual experiences rapid growth and development, both physical and psychological and changes from being a child to an adult. School going period is also a period of increased vulnerability to obesity, lack of physical activity and outdoor sports along with the consumption of fat-rich ‘junk’ foods, is the major cause of obesity among the affluent population. Some dietary patterns appear quite common among adolescents, to mention a few: snacking, usually on energy-dense foods, meal skipping, particularly breakfast, or irregular meals, wide use of fast food and low consumption of fruits and vegetables. Based on the problem selected and objectives of the study, descriptive research design was selected to identify the barriers of physical activity among adolescents in a selected school Kashmir with a view to develop a lifestyle modification programme. Sixty subjects were selected in selected area of Kashmir by non-probability sampling technique for this study. Self-structured checklist was used for data collection and was analysed by descriptive and inferential statistics using chi-square and t-test. The donated breast milk is collected using the proper techniques, examined for contamination and microbiological load, pasteurized using various procedures, and then stored so that it can be made available on demand to neonates who are unable to get human breast milk for whatever reason. Wet nurses, also known as dhatris, were employed in both ancient India and the rest of the globe to provide breast milk for the infants. The issue of VLBW (Very Low Birth Weight) and LBW (Low Birth Weight) mortality affects India and many other developing nations, but it can be resolved by promoting breastfeeding, which also dramatically lowers the risk of infections. Thus, in order to promote the idea of milk banking for the benefit of thousands of people, health specialists and regular people must work together. Since 1909, the year the second human milk bank opened in Boston after the first one founded in Vienna. In 1989, Mumbai's Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College and General Hospital established India's first human milk bank. In comparison to the rising number of neonatal critical care units, the number has climbed to 90, although it is still quite low. Every larger hospital with post-natal wards or Well Baby clinics, where there are more milk donors accessible and the medical or nursing staff can encourage them to donate milk, has to set up milk banks. Efforts made by the government or non-governmental groups to promote and maintain human milk banks will lessen the likelihood that breast milk will become spoiled and infant mortality will increase.","PeriodicalId":205602,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Research in Paediatric Nursing","volume":"72 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122060504","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
