However, the successful injection of computation thinking in formal educational settings demands the construction of developmentally appropriate assessment tools. In this paper, we discuss a novel framework for assessing computational thinking skills in early childhood settings. The proposed framework was employed in a relevant quantitative research study conducted in the city of Heraklion, Crete, from February to June 2019, with a sample of 435 first and second graders and within the context of the Environmental Study course. This paper also provides evidence regarding the examination of age, gender, and learning achievements in the Environmental Study course as predictive factors of one of the core computational thinking competencies, namely algorithmic thinking. The research findings revealed that age and learning achievements in the Environmental Study course constitute predictive factors for algorithmic thinking skills in the first and second grade level of primary school. On the contrary, algorithmic thinking skills are not related to first and second graders’ gender. The results of this study provide a solid background for designing and implementing developmentally appropriate tools for cultivating and assessing computational thinking skills in the early years of schooling.","PeriodicalId":200698,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Digital Technology in Education","volume":"64 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131126188","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Based on the Comparative analysis, exemplification, induction and literature summarization, this paper presents the significant functional features of MOOC which combine a variety of technologies to integrate teaching content, share learning materials online, conduct interactive discussions and test assessments, and improve the learning experience of different participants. However, there are also defects during its application, taking law curriculum as an example, which mainly reflected in the limited scope, the difficulty of achieving education and training goals, and the lack of scientific evaluation mechanisms. The results reveal the improvement prospect of MOOC, educators need to explore a teacher-student “Dual-Dominant” curriculum system which focuses on the teaching quality, continuously optimize the evaluation mechanism through an complementary assessment with \"Online-Offline\" feature, expanding the sharing of educational resources between schools and enterprises, and explore newly technologies such as Metaverse and virtual reality techniques in order to mobilize learners' enthusiasm for autonomous learning. The future development of MOOC should focus on the transformation and upgrading of educational concepts, as well as the sharing and interoperability of high-quality teaching resources, and provide more fair, convenient and economical personalized learning opportunities for global participants. As MOOC is a typical educational resources sharing platform, and its functional optimization depends on the participants feedbacks, which need pay more attention to.","PeriodicalId":200698,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Digital Technology in Education","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131673645","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Through the case study method and experimental study method of the teaching process of Marketing Planning, the Internet resources and computer interaction technology are used to construct the \"learning-centered\" online and offline mixed teaching paradigm from the four-dimensional perspective of \"sharing before class, classroom realization, participation in class and interaction after class\". Before class, we share course learning resources on the computer information technology platform, publish learning tasks or ask questions, etc., to cultivate students' autonomous learning ability. In the classroom, the computer screen technology is used to carry out the group learning mode of divided class or flipped class by cases, short videos or practical training tasks. In addition, the computer interaction technology such as mobile phone answer, bullet screen, voting, theme discussion, in-class practice and evaluation and grading is used to mobilize the enthusiasm and participation of students in class. Finally, with the help of instant messaging tools or Super Star Learning APP testing system and other computer information technology, the test questions, homework or practical training tasks are released to realize the communication and interaction between students and teachers after class, and give feedback and guidance to students. Finally, the traditional multimedia technology and computer information interaction technology are effectively integrated to realize the curriculum guidance, self-study, mutual learning, learning promotion and supervision, and achieve the \"learning-centered\" educational teaching goal.","PeriodicalId":200698,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Digital Technology in Education","volume":"445 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116515031","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A sample of 358 foreign language teachers from Chinese universities were selected by distributing a questionnaire and the research hypotheses were tested by multiple regression analysis. The results showed that perceived usefulness (PU), perceived ease of use (PEOU) and TTF all significantly influenced teachers’ IU the online platform. What's more, TTF was an important mediator for teachers’ intention to utilize the virtual platform. In addition, we found the specific region and specialized foreign language also play a role in the teachers’ intention of using the technology. The results of our study helps to facilitate regional higher education development and to informalize foreign language education policies in Chinese universities.","PeriodicalId":200698,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Digital Technology in Education","volume":"63 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124668258","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Pajares believes writing performance can be \"predicted\" by students' self-efficacy. [1] In the traditional writing class, the teacher puts more emphasis on lecturing and practice, with weak means to promote writers' self-efficacy. To address this problem, with the introduction of online game-based learning like Kahoot, this study carries out an experiment to test the different influence on learners' self-efficacy based on game-based learning and traditional lecturing in terms of pre-class, during-class, post-class influences. Through the General Self-Efficacy Scale test(GSES), results show game-based learning is more effective in the pre-class and during-class phases, while fails to achieve better results in the post-class phase. Thus, a blended learning strategy with game-base learning as the main means in the pre-class and during-class phase and traditional writing-review-comment strategy in the post-class phase is suggested to improve learners' overall self-efficacy.","PeriodicalId":200698,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Digital Technology in Education","volume":"83 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121869031","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The combination of technology and English teaching has become a trend, and the traditional teaching methods are being changed by technology. The contradiction between traditional teaching methods and modern oral English teaching needs is becoming increasingly prominent. The development of artificial intelligence technology will help to solve this contradiction. Therefore, the oral English teaching assistant system based on artificial intelligence is designed. The general design part of the system adopts the idea of hierarchical architecture for the overall design, system functional structure design, oral evaluation model design, data storage and use, etc. in the functional structure design, combined with the needs analysis, the account system module, class management module, teaching management module, learning statistics module, notification module and use help are designed respectively, Each functional module complements each other. By means of engineering, combining AI abilities such as oral English evaluation and image retrieval with oral English teaching, we can solve the disadvantages of traditional oral English teaching and establish a new teaching form for oral English Teaching in primary schools.","PeriodicalId":200698,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Digital Technology in Education","volume":"77 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131418904","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, a micro-lecture resource construction scheme for online courses with teacher-student collaboration was proposed based on the learning pyramid theory. The practice proved that this scheme can make full use of students’ technical foundation in the Internet era to build micro-lectures, which can not only improve the quality of online courses, but also build curriculum resources quickly and with high quality, thus providing a strong resource guarantee for the follow-up online teaching.","PeriodicalId":200698,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Digital Technology in Education","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130282741","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These applications were consistently reported to have a high potential for assisting students in learning the target language. This study worked with a free application named Duolingo which assists learners in learning various languages. In the studied context, Duolingo has been used as a tool to help students build their English learning habits via a challenge called “22-day challenge to learn English with Duolingo”. The participants of this study were 15 students who were participating in this challenge in the Spring semester of 2022. Semi-structured interview was employed to collected their learning experience and perceptions towards the app. Generally, the students had positive experience and perceptions of this app. The participants indicated interest in several Duolingo aspects, such as the forum where learners can discuss and exchange information, the podcast, the recognizable subjects in each lesson, and even the owl emblem and the way the owl reminds learners to study daily. However, two disadvantages have been identified, namely the occasional trouble with voice recognition and the limitation of a high degree of linguistic proficiency.","PeriodicalId":200698,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Digital Technology in Education","volume":"67 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133743728","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
