Such behaviour exposes the affected individual to the complications of object insertion, surgical removal and its adverse sequelae such as a colovesical fistula. Foreign body insertion into the vagina mainly involves children and can be associated with premenarchal vaginal discharge or sexual abuse.Foreign bodies are occasionally reported in the bladder. In the majority of cases, a carefully obtained history and physical examination will render the diagnosis, although imaging modalities may be required to locate the misplaced objects. Here, we present 15-year-old girl who presented to emergency OPD of Case Presentation: gynecology with complaint of accidental slippage of pencil into vagina. As hymen was intact, she was subjected to radiological evaluation. The pencil was found to be lying in urinary bladder and she was planned for transurethral cystolitholapaxy to remove the same. But it got expelled transurethrally during micturition. Psychiatry consultation was put up for this patient and was found to be unremarkable.","PeriodicalId":19910,"journal":{"name":"Paripex Indian Journal Of Research","volume":"2 4","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139271927","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Materials & Methods: An analytical comparative study was done on 80 pregnant women. 40 cases with clinically diagnosed PIH, 40 controls with normal pregnancy. Data collected were analyzed using SSPS software using comparitive t-test. Results: On analyzing platelet indices among both the groups, platelet disturibution width(PDW) with significant p-value of (<0.005) indicated as a significant factor in concordance with raised blood pressure.However,other indices were significantly lowered but did not show statistical significance on comparision. Conclusion:The study concluded PDW has significant correlation with elevated blood pressure during pregnancy. Hence, it is a reliable quick indicator of PIH in order to predict its adverse outcomes.","PeriodicalId":19910,"journal":{"name":"Paripex Indian Journal Of Research","volume":"19 3","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139276198","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is one of the most common elective surgeries in hysterectomy as operative modality. Factors influencing route of hysterectomy include accessibility and size of uterus, extent of adnexal pathology, surgeon training and experience. There are different routes of removal of uterus which is being used with abdominal hysterectomy is no doubt more popular route than vaginal route. An advance in anaesthesia, availability of transfusion services and antibiotics has made hysterectomy becoming the most common procedure in nonpregnancy related major surgical procedures. Many literature supports that vaginal hysterectomy is the cost effective and safe procedure for the removal of uterus also most regularly abdominal route is chosen. In this new era of minimally invasive surgery, a resurgence of interest and importance of VH for non-descent indications i.e. non-decent vaginal hysterectomy (NDVH) as the scar less hysterectomy has occurred as has many benefits over abdominal hysterectomy such as lesser post-operative morbidity, cosmetic advantages, better and rapid recovery. The objectives of the study was to compare and assess factors like operative duration of surgery, intra operative and post-operative complications, intra operative blood loss, postoperative requirement of analgesia , post-operative ambulating time and duration of post-operative hospital stay and to put forward best route of hysterectomy in non- descent cases. Compared to all other routes vaginal hysterectomy yields better outcome with less complications. The study was done on 50 cases fulfilling the inclusion criteria. Patients were randomly segregated in two groups- abdominal hysterectomy and NDVH (non-decent vaginal hysterectomy). Intra operative blood loss, Operative time and post-operative morbidity and hospital stay were less in NDVH groups. Nondecent vaginal hysterectomy is a better substitute to abdominal hysterectomy in cases with benign disorders of the uterus, with good mobility and adequate vaginal access.","PeriodicalId":19910,"journal":{"name":"Paripex Indian Journal Of Research","volume":"2 4","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139272347","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Aerobic capacity was evaluated by intermittent 30:15 test and after 48 h, athletes were recruited to perform Tabata protocol of high intensity interval training, which originally consists of eight sprints of 20s at 170% of the maximum vVO2,interspersed by 10s of passive recovery.In each sprint, the rating of perceived exertion (RPE), speed and percentage of the maximum vVO2 were registered. The reported RPE by the athletes significantly increased after each sprint performed,and all athletes finished with maximum perception of effort.There were no significant differences in the RPE only between the four/five,five/six and seven/eight sprints. In regard to running speed, only six-for-seven and seven-for-eight sprints showed no significant differences. Another important data showed that five of the nine athletes evaluated managed to perform only the first sprint in the intensity of the protocol,so final average of the percentage of the maximum vVO2 was 121.96 ± 9.32 %.Professional futsal athletes were not able to perform Tabata training protocol at the intensity proposed by the authors (170% maximum vVO2), as well as had significant loss in running speed and significant increases in RPE, with 100% of the players reporting maximum effort at the end of the protocol.","PeriodicalId":19910,"journal":{"name":"Paripex Indian Journal Of Research","volume":"70 5","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139274611","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The etiology of the disease remains unclear but nearly 6 to 20 % of women remain effected with it. PCOS is characterized by irregular menstrual cycle, polycystic ovaries, hirsutism, insulin resistance, dyslipidemia and infertility. There are different diagnostic criteria used to assess PCOS but Rotterdam criteria are worldwide accepted for adult women. Owing to the complicated pathophysiology, recognizing the inciting causes is difficult and hence large percentage of females remain undiagnosed even after visiting multiple health care centers. This review will seek to determine the prevalence of polycystic ovarian syndrome in medical colleges.","PeriodicalId":19910,"journal":{"name":"Paripex Indian Journal Of Research","volume":"7 4","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139271761","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The cohort, selected based on suspected tooth-canal proximity from OPG, underwent detailed threedimensional visualization using CBCT.Analysis of various OPG indicators revealed that darkening of roots exhibited a 62.5% correlation with true contact on CBCT, suggesting its potential as a proximity indicator. However, caution is emphasized, as darkening did not align with actual contact in 57.1% of cases.Interruption of the white line of the canal showed a substantial 31.2% correlation with true contact on CBCT. Intraoperative findings included visible Inferior Alveolar Nerve (IAN) in 12.5% of subjects with contact and pulsating bleeding in 4.8% without contact. Transient paresthesia occurred in 6.2% of cases with contact,lasting up to 3 months,with no permanent post-operative paresthesia reported. The study advocates for a judicious evaluation of OPG findings, highlighting their role as initial cues but emphasizing the need for advanced imaging like CBCT for enhanced diagnostic precision.","PeriodicalId":19910,"journal":{"name":"Paripex Indian Journal Of Research","volume":"39 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139272116","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
