It is usually very well tolerated and the side effects are usually acute and mild. We report a very rare\u0000case of zoledronic acid induced optic nerve dysfunction which needs early recognition and management. Case report:\u0000We report a case of 78 year old male adenocarcinoma prostate Gleason score 4+3 who developed local recurrence with\u0000skeletal metastasis in February 2023. After 4 cycles of zoledronate, patient developed decreased vision in left eye.Visual\u0000acuity decreased and colour vision was defective. Both eyes PVEP showed reduced amplitude of P100 waves in the left\u0000eye compared to right eye which was suggestive of optic nerve dysfunction in the left eye which was probably zoledronic\u0000acid induced. Patient recovered gradually on withdrawal of the drug. The ocular complications of Conclusion:\u0000zoledronate are very rare. The reported side effects occured acutely like uveitis, scleritis, episcleritis caused by\u0000inflammatory stimulus mediated by proinflammatory cytokines and T helper cells. Here we report a case of optic nerve\u0000dysfunction that presents gradually. This curricular innovation offers indepth learning experiences and diversified skill-development beyond curricular boundaries. To harness its untapped\u0000potential and for ensuring learner satisfaction and engagement, a student-centered approach in organization and\u0000planning is required. To evaluate awareness, perception, preferences and attitudes of medical- Aims/Objective:\u0000undergraduates regarding electives for developing modules as per students' felt-needs. A cross- Study design:\u0000sectional, descriptive, questionnaire-based study that utilized an electronic-survey form to gather information.\u0000Materials & methods: The pre-validated questionnaire included various sections to elicit responses regarding\u0000demographic details, awareness, perceptions and attitudes of undergraduate medicos regarding electives. On study\u0000completion, a sensitization programme was conducted. Descriptive statistics was used and categorical-data\u0000represented in the form of frequencies and proportions. Out of the 100 participants, nearly 50% of Results: students had\u0000a positive outlook towards electives. The most sought-after courses were research (56%), clinical (53%) & superspecialty electives (41%). Electives outside the institution was preferred by 65% of students. Grievances regarding\u0000mandatory attendance (47%), assessment and eligibility criteria (44%) for progression to the next phase were\u0000expressed. The purpose of this study was to ascertain the patients' awareness of the\u0000possibility of developing WSLs while undergoing fixed orthodontic treatment, as well as the patients' oral hygiene\u0000practices and any preventive measures administered during treatment. Methodology: Questionnaires are used in this\u0000cross-sectional observational study. Convenience sampling was used to choose the subjects from among orthodontic\u0000patients who visited the orthodontic OPD.Individuals who met the requirements for inclusion were requested to respond\u0000to the surveys. The knowledge evaluations focused on how orthodontic patients should maintain their dental hygiene\u0000and how WSL develops during treatment. Results: The questionnaires were distributed to 32 subjects in total. The\u0000majority of them were unaware that having braces can result in the development of WSL around the brackets. Of those\u0000who maintained oral hygiene,a large number of people brush their teeth more than twice a day. Of them,about 75% said\u0000that their orthodontic doctor placed a strong emphasis on proper tooth cleaning technique. Unlike adults, FB\u0000ingestion is more prevalent in children.The type of FB ingestion and associated complications vary significantly.Unlike\u0000adults where FB ingestion can be accidental, FB ingestion in children is because of their tendencies to explore and put\u0000everything in their mouth with weak reflexes. In the current crossectional study, we aimed to evaluate the prevalence,\u0000risk factors, impaction site, clinical presentations, treatment modalities used to extract FBs in patients presenting FB\u0000ingested emergency. Methods: We conducted a crossectional prospective study in the department of ENT, Head and\u0000Neck Surgery,Government Medical College,and Associated Hospitals (Sri Maharaja Hari Singh Hospital),Srinagar J&K.\u0000The patients admitted for FB ingestion emergency were enrolled for the current study. All the relevant demographic,\u0000clinical,and therapeutic modalities of each patient were recorded during the study.Results:The medical history of 284\u0000subjects who presented with FB ingestion in emergency admitted between July 2019 to July 2021 was evaluated. More\u0000number of the subjects were in the age group of ≤ 5years. Unlike coin impaction in the paediatric subjects (84%), the\u0000bone chip ingestion was the most frequent impacted FB (57.7%) followed by the coin (31%) in the adult patients. The\u0000impacted meat bolus and the button battery ingestion were reported in 67% and 1.4% of the subjects respectively.The\u0000lone mortality reported in our cohort was by the ingestion of a button battery. It is a distinct lymphomatous cancer that is\u0000histologically defined by Reed-Sternberg cells in the right kind of cell environment.The disease primarily affects young\u0000adults, with a peak incidence occurring between the ages of 15 and 35. There are two subtypes: classical Hodgkin\u0000lymphoma (CHL) and nodular lymphocyte predominant HL (NLPHL). A 75-year-old patient with Stage IV HL was\u0000admitted for chemotherapy cycle IA (75% dose) on 14/06/2023 and was prescribed medications such as Adriamycin,\u0000Vinblastine, and Dacarbazine. The patient had systemic hypertension, a cataract, and a hernia.
