In this preliminary study, the research method used is a qualitative descriptive method with 5 students of class VIII as a sample and research instruments used are 5 items about the instrument of mathematical communication ability. The type of research used is a qualitative descriptive research. Sempel in this research is students of SMP Negeri 1 Batujaya. The data collected in the form of written test results as much as 5 items that refer to the ability of students' mathematical understanding. Most students can not understand what the problem wants. Based on the results of research students average percentage of results from the test description is only reached 58%. The method in this research using a correlational method with quantitative approach. The population of this study is all junior high school students in one of the SMP Negeri in West Bandung amounted to 34 students. Instruments in this study using the test of mathematical communication skills as much as 5 items and the scale of mathematical disposition as much as 23 points of statement scale. Developing critical thinking skills in students is still considered important to be improved in schools so that students are able and accustomed to facing various problems around it. This study aims to analyze the critical thinking skills of junior high school students who are in excellent classes and regular classes. This research was conducted in Bandung Barat. In this study students are given a test in the form of questions with critical thinking skills, the problem is used to compare between the superior class and ordinary class. Assessment of the problem using several factors of critical ability include 1) students can not understand the problem correctly, 2) students rush in doing the problem, 3) the students cannot choose the problem-solving strategy correctly and 4) the students work on the problem systematically. Then the matter of critical thinking skills of mathematics is analyzed using quasi-experimental research method to analyze students' critical thinking ability that influence learning result. This study shows the differences in critical thinking ability of junior high school students who are in excellent class and ordinary class. This study shows that superior classes are better in mathematical critical thinking ability than a regular class. Background of the research is based on the students’ low ability of mathematical problem solving and mathematical learning activeness. The purpose of this research is finding the relation between students’ mathematical problem-solving ability and students’ mathematical learning activeness by using Realistic Mathematics Education approach using GeoGebra. The method in this research is the experimental research in the form of pre-test-post-test Control Group Design. In addition, the population for this research is the entire Public middle schools (SMP Negeri) in West Bandung regency. From all public middle schools in West Bandung, a school named SMP Negeri 3 Batujajar is randomly selected, and two classes of the 1st-gradestudents of the school are selected as the research sampling data. The first class becomes an experimental class which gains learning using GeoGebra assisted realistic mathematics educational approach and the other class gets common learning. The result of the research shows that there is a more positive relationship between mathematical problem-solving ability and mathematical learning activeness of learning by using Realistic Mathematics Education approach with GeoGebra rather than using common learning. One of the main objectives of this extracurricular activity as a place for students who have the interest to follow the activity. This activity can form a positive attitude of students. This study aims to determine the effect of extracurricular activities on the ability of students' mathematical understanding in SMP Negeri 1 Ngamprah. The research method used is a quantitative method with the help of IBM SPSS Statistic 24 applications. The sample used in this study is the students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Ngamprah who follow extracurricular and do not follow extracurricular. Students who follow extracurricular become experimental class and students who do not follow extracurricular become control class. The results of this study are the ability of students' understanding of mathematics in SMP Negeri 1 Ngamprah who follow extracurricular and do not follow extracurricular have significant differences. Students who follow extracurricular activities have a better understanding of mathematics than students who do not follow extracurricular activities. Seen based on the existing data obtained the average of the experimental class is 41.8 and the control class 34.4. The population in this research is VII SMP in Karawang. This study was designed qualitative descriptive method. Based on the results and discussion students connection ability had improved. It is known from the number of students who experience improvement in each cycle. In the first cycle shows that the results of mathematics learning on triangle and quadriplegic classically obtained scores of students from the questions given in the first cycle test, obtained 18 students reached 60% of 30 students who are able to obtain value above the KKM while in cycle II shows that the results of mathematics learning on triangle and quadrilateral material has reached 83.34% or as many as 25 students from 30 junior high school students who get grade VII above the KKM with an average value of 83. This shows an increase of 23.34% as many as 7 people students from the first cycle test.
