The investigation clarified the circumstances of the detention and arrest of V. Prokhoda in late January - early February 1945, the vicissitudes of the investigation from February 2, 1945, to September 10, 1945. Working methods of employees of the SMERSH counterintelligence administrative departments are highlighted. Some facts of V. Prokhoda's biography are characterized: his participation in the Ukrainian revolution of 1917–1921, public activity during emigration to Czechoslovakia, work in construction companies during World War II. The author analyzed topics of questions of interest to investigators: military service in the Russian tsarist army on the eve and beginning of World War І; national-cultural activities in POW camps in the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy; participation in Ukrainian military structures during the Ukrainian Revolution of 1917–1921; struggle against the Bolshevik government in Ukraine; activities in public societies and organizations in exile in Czechoslovakia and Germany (as «Sokil», «Society of Former Soldiers of the Ukrainian People's Republic Army», «Ukrainian National Union»); work in construction companies «in favor of Germany» during World War ІІ; information on the activities of the emigration government of the Ukrainian People's Republic and relations with its leaders; «counter-revolutionary nationalist» activities of the leaders of Ukrainian emigrant organizations. The facts of V. Prokhoda's biography in the archival-investigative case and his memoirs «Zapysky nepokirlyvoho» («Notes of the Rebellious») are compared.\u0000\u0000Keywords: Vasyl Prokhoda, Ukrainian People's Republic, archival-investigative case, public activity, SMERSH, People's Commissariat for Internal Affairs.

The main directions of his public and political activities are shown, and the scientist's participation in election campaigns and propaganda of communist ideology is emphasized. As the head of the History of Ukraine Department at the Lviv State University and the director of the branch of the Institute of History of Ukraine of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR, I. Krypiakevych was actively involved by local authorities in public work to establish Soviet power in the region. Stated that the cooperation of I. It is noted that, together with other historians, he also worked on a four-volume textbook on the history of Ukraine, which had been published by the Kyiv Institute of the History of Ukraine. I. Because of losing constant material support at the end of the XIX century by them this post was usually held by people without proper qualifications, endows, and principles. This was extremely negative to the level of service to the Greek Catholic church and its authority in society. Pointed out that clergy and activists of the clergy’s movement identified the issue of professional qualification of church singers as one of the keys within a complex of tasks for the revival clergy’s layer in the land.\u0000\u0000At the end of the XIX century functioned both eparchial professional clergy schools and private courses in Halychyna, and the list of them is given. Applicants for training at eparchial clergy schools had to meet the established criteria. Additionally, they had to have a good voice and complete primary school. Indicated that evidence of a singer’s professional qualification became a certificate that was taken as a result of a successfully passed exam in front of a special commission. Determined that as the factors for improvement of clergy’s education in the land the contemporaries named programs and methods improvement of study in professional educational institutions and widening of its net. Underlined the gaps in the educational program of clergy schools and the ways to solve them separately through laying special textbooks. Accented that the required component of the church singer’s education was named study of crafts as the mean for stable earning, organization of tighter communication with parishioners, and also to form clergy’s layer as a Ukrainian middle class. Pointed out that the task of clergy’s schools also should have been the education of people with a deep Christian and patriotic worldview.\u0000\u0000Based on statistics proved that at the end of the XIX century the vast majority of valid Greek Catholic clergy did not have a proper professional qualification. Determined that even after finishing professional institution, a significant part of graduates did not proceed to qualification exam. Contemporaries saw a solution for the situation in an obligatory professional exam for all unskilled singers and giving posts only to singers with certificates. Indicated that the relevant order was firstly issued by the spiritual authority of Stanislav diocese which became a push for qualitative changes in the level of Greek Catholic regency in Halychyna.

Bandusiak's role and place in the Ukrainian liberation movement 1930–1940s. The leadership positions he held and his contribution to the deployment of the struggle are defined. The structure of the Transcarpathian regional and district provid of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) was reconstructed. The research is based on newly found documents (the report of the Major Popov of Guards Task Force, a report on Chekist-military operation, a protocol of interrogation of the OUN SS Ivan Terelia and the testimonies of the arrested Alexander Golyak, Vasily Chizhevsky), which helped to reconstruct the time and circumstances of the death of Dmytro Bandusiak-"Lopata." It was also possible to identify the persons who helped to identify and physically destroy D. Bandusiak. This specific example shows the role and importance of intelligence in anti-nationalist operations.\u0000 It is confirmed that because of intelligence, the need for large-scale operations was eliminated. In contrast, operations with small maneuver units against specific insurgent formations or individuals, especially district, supra-district, and regional OUN provids, which were located by the agents, became more effective. The common and divergent in semantic codes and characteristic practices from which the poetics of both authors grows are investigated. The city is the defining topos of modernist writing and the central category of the modernist worldview. In no other epoch did the city enjoy the attention of writers as at the end of the 19th century and in the first third of the 20th century. The modern city acquires its outlines only in the middle of the 18th century, and the modernist city from the second half of the 19th century, but especially in the early 20th century through dialectical denial and overcoming the «city of enlightenment». The metaphor of the sea and the semantics of the element, usually water, characterize expressionist speech. Expressionist lyrics are imbued with apocalyptic visions. Urban modernist poetry is an extrapolation of the inner world (states of consciousness) to the outer world. Negative fascination is a defining feature of urbanistic discourse in expressionist poetry. Expressionist urbanistic lyricism is a romantic revolt against urbanization as a defining structural element of the civilizational evolution of mankind, and demonization is the main instrument of criticism of the city in expressionist lyricism. Special attention is paid to the function of memory and remembrance in big-city modernist poetry. While in Heym, a representative of early expressionism in German literature, the city appears as a topos of the apocalypse, in Antonych, the picture of the city is significantly more differentiated – and figuratively, and tonally, and substantial. The thematic blurring of Heym's urban landscapes is opposed by Antonychʼs structural urban subtopoi, the key one being the square. Antonychʼs poetics moves from the concrete to the abstract; his apocalypse is more mundane, aestheticized and playful, and the trumpets of the last day trumpet in the squares, which lovers meet. Antonychʼs city is more vitalistic than Heimʼs, even when the lyrical subject inflicts a flood on him. Not only expressionist but also formalistic and cubist melodies are heard in it. The article uses methods of textual, paratext, and contextual analysis, method of distributive analysis, method of poetic analysis, method of semantic analysis, method of stylistic analysis, method of phonological analysis, hermeneutic and post-structuralist methods.\u0000Keywords: modernism, expressionism, urbanistic lyrics, urban landscape, memory, remembrance.

The Countess' personality is also shown as a symbol of freedom and courage, which was especially emphasized during the siege of Mukachevo Castle by the Habsburgs in the second half of the 17th century (1685–1688). The article analyses eleven original letters written by Ilona Zrínyi before the siege of Mukachevo Castle. They testify to the connection between the Countess and the leadership of the Uzhanskyi and Berezhskyi counties (present-day territory of Transcarpathian region). They are stored in the Berehove Branch of the State Archives of Transcarpathian Oblast. These letters are important sources of evidence of Europe-wide history of our region. In the final part of the present article we have collected evidence based on press material and documents in the State Archives of Transcarpathian Oblast describing the so-called «Ilona-days», i.e. celebrations commemorating the personality of the great political and historical figure, Countess Ilona Zrínyi. All the official documents provide proof of the fact of how local people of Uzhanskyi and Berezhskyi counties (present-day Transcarpathia) loved and deeply respected the countess for her courage to fight for freedom against the Habsburgs, for her never-ending feeling of responsibility for her nation, and attentive care for her own motherland. During the siege of Mukachevo Castle with Ilona Zrínyi had her son, Ferenc Rákóczi II with her, who was still a child. The siege at that time taught the future leader of the liberation struggle of 1703–1711 to be courageous, and to love his motherland. Further research into sources related to Ilona Zríny’s activities may continue in the archives of Hungary and other countries as she unsuccessfully sought to form an international anti-Habsburg coalition.\u0000\u0000Keywords\u0000Countess Ilona Zrínyi, Mukachevo Castle, Transcarpathian history.
