As a way to prevent this, each country has established a strategy to pursue supply chain localization that expands domestic production from food to strategic products for efficient supply chain management. \u0000In this study, the export demand function was used to analyze the export determinants by industry by dividing 10 industries of Korea's total exports from 1995 to 2021 for 10 major export destinations. In particular, it was intended to propose a plan to expand agricultural exports in the mid- to long-term by comparing general manufacturing products with agricultural products through empirical analysis. \u0000As a result of the analysis, it was found that there were differences in factors affecting exports by industry. In particular, in the case of exports of agricultural, forestry and fisheries products, the total production of trading partners, the price of Korean export goods, and whether or not an FTA was signed had a significant impact at the 1% significance level. Although Korea's agriculture accounts for a low proportion of gross domestic product, it is evaluated as a field with various functions at various levels, such as food security and sustainable environmental conservation. \u0000In the recent growth process of the global agri-food market in the global economy, Korea's agri-food sector is emerging as a blue ocean field. In order to expand the export sector of Korean agricultural products, a national strategy should be established to efficiently combine the roles of agricultural producers, exporters, and the government.","PeriodicalId":194082,"journal":{"name":"Korea Association for International Commerce and Information","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123836281","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In particular, it attempts to examine the role of two channels of economic and non-economic networks in the gravity equation of exports; economic networks are trade, FDI and FTA, non-economic networks are military expenditure and military alliance. The basic and the augmented gravity models are estimated with an annual cross-section data set of year 2020 for 44 countries. \u0000The estimation results demonstrate that military expenditures explain the bilateral export in the defense industry better than GDP does as an economic scale variable in the equation. Also the evidence of the effect of FDI is statistically significant in the estimation, whereas no evidence for effects of trade and FTA have been found. In addition, there is no further evidence for the role of military alliance between trade partners for exports in defense industry. \u0000The results imply that military expenditure of import country and FDI relation has a strong relationship with export in the defense industry. Thus, it also emphasizes the policy implication for taking into account of the linkage between export and FDI activity in promoting export of defense industry.","PeriodicalId":194082,"journal":{"name":"Korea Association for International Commerce and Information","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130090148","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, there has been insufficient development of models to analyze the influence of external shocks on the fisheries industry. This study sets itself apart from existing research by creating a Harmonized System (HS) product-based general equilibrium model for fisheries trade that reflects the unique attributes of the South Korean fisheries sector. The study also conducts trade policy scenario analyses, taking into account the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) membership and the Total Allowable Catch (TAC) system.The results of the analysis demonstrate that when employing a product-differentiated model, the export value of individual products experiences a more substantial increase in comparison to the industry-level model. This finding indicates that the model incorporates the trade-enhancing effects stemming from the direct and indirect effects of each product. With regard to the consequences of implementing the TAC system, a decrease in domestic catch volume and an increase in fishery product prices are observed, implying that the introduction of the TAC system may potentially impact the domestic fishing production foundation.In comparison with other developed nations, the establishment and application of specialized trade policy models for the fisheries sector have not been adequately executed. The findings of this study may serve as a valuable instrument for quantitatively evaluating the ramifications of distinct fisheries trade policies.","PeriodicalId":194082,"journal":{"name":"Korea Association for International Commerce and Information","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126811836","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In reality, since there is a possibility of NFT and risk factors, the model was proposed by combining activation factors and concerns, and in detail, the theoretical model was proposed by setting NFT transaction safety and scarcity as activation factors and legal system uncertainty as concerns. As a result of conducting an empirical analysis along with data collection, significance was found in the path of NFT scarcity on transaction value, but no significant results were derived in the path of transaction safety on transaction value. In addition, the moderating effect of uncertainty in the legal system was found to be limited. The implications of the research results are that it is desirable to find integration in fields such as NFT-based bills of lading, certificates of origin, and trade contracts in a digital trade environment.","PeriodicalId":194082,"journal":{"name":"Korea Association for International Commerce and Information","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133047836","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Based on the value based adoption model(VAM), this study examines the relationship between informativeness and ease of use which are perceived benefit factor, on perceived value and seeks to derive strategic plans to enhance the performance of e-commerce platform use. This study analyzed whether delivery risk has a moderating effect on the relationship between perceived value and intention to use the platform. The results of the study are as follows. First, informativeness and ease of use of the platform have a positive effect on perceived value. Second, the higher the level of perceived value, the higher the intention to use the platform. Finally, delivery risk has a moderating effect on the relationship between perceived value and intention to use the platform. This study suggests that increasing the level of information provision and ease of use within the platform contributes to positive consumer value, and that lowering the risk of delivery is essential to vitalize cross-border e-commerce.","PeriodicalId":194082,"journal":{"name":"Korea Association for International Commerce and Information","volume":"70 S2","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114096528","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to minimize the impact of the supply chain disruption on the Korean economy, it is necessary to reduce the import dependence from China and diversify the supply chain. This study analyze the vulnerabilities of the global supply chain for Korea's major import items, which are more than 50% dependent on imports from China. Major findings are: first, there is a weak correlation between the three indicators of supply chain vulnerability. Second, items with high priority for supply chain stabilization due to high dependence on imports from China, difficulties in diversifying suppliers, and weakness of localization capabilities are mainly raw materials and consumer goods. Third, as a supplier to replace China, Vietnam has a great influence on imports of consumer goods and capital goods, while Japan has a great influence on imports of raw materials. The optimal strategy for diversifying supply chain, such as monitoring of the potential risk factors, strategic international cooperation, and strengthening localization capacity, may vary by country, type of goods, and time frame.","PeriodicalId":194082,"journal":{"name":"Korea Association for International Commerce and Information","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122294213","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the buyer’s exercise of such a right without qualifying the requirements for suspending of performance often exposes himself to the risk of breaching the contract. On the other hand, If the buyer performs his obligations under the uncertain situation that the seller may not perform his obligations, he may also face the risk of the seller’s non-performance. In addition, if the right to suspend performance is recognized without any requirements, it is a problem that can be abused as a means for the contracting party to avoid its obligations. Therefore, reasonable standards are needed to solve these problems, and this study executes a comparative study on the requirement of Severity of Seller’s Breach of Contract for the exercise of the buyer's right to suspend its performance against the seller's actual breach of contract under the CISG, the CESL and PICC.
