Big farms predominate over large distances with a considerable consumption of electricity. In towns and villages, the population decreases. At step down substations, two 110 kV transformers is an excess because one of them predominantly is idle. Although with a certain load duration curve, power losses in multi-transformer substation may be less, however, all the same, life cycle cost for multi-transformer substations is more. To provide sufficient for such local power supply reliability, sometimes it is possible reserving the MV secondary side of these transformers from neighboring networks of the same voltage. But for this it is necessary to increase the primary voltage of the distribution network from 20 kV to 33 kV, and among all consumers of the substation supply zone, to identify those who, without much harm, can endure without electricity a couple of hours but in the power system to keep the spare transformer on move. Considering the increasing cost of rare earth materials and other disadvantages of PMSMs, it is necessary to develop reluctance machines needed for the usage in the EVs. In order to increase the competitiveness of the reluctance machines, it is important to develop solutions that would increase their torque density, overall efficiency, and eliminate disadvantages such as torque ripple, which is very undesirable in the field of EVs. One of the solutions is in the development of the longitudinal cross-section of the electric machine tooth zone - the proposed use of the Shark concept. In this paper, several Shark profiles (air gap shapes) are examined. Results of experiments conducted of three-dimensional (3D) magnetic field calculations using finite element analysis (FEA) have been discussed and the efficiency and behaviour of different Shark profiles have been compared. In the developed method the value of the potentially energy undersupply at the primary equipment element due to a fault of the RPA equipment was used as a risk index. The local and remote backup protections, the operating parameters and the probabilities of disturbances occurrence in the adjacent network were considered by the method. The risks calculation for the IEEE 14 typical circuit was performed on the basis of the developed algorithm. The basic dependencies were determined and the conclusions on the algorithm applicability were drawn. The risk calculation in the maintenance costs value was distinguished as a prospective line of research. Development of methods for recognition of failures in distribution systems, like technologies for construction of measuring instruments and identifying of leakages, is based on wave principles. Control of traffic flows on the basis of graph theory, cybersecurity of infrastructure systems, models, methods and technologies for the creation of wireless networks for the translation and processing of information, ensures reliable power supply. The development of backup solution, to recover in case, if external electrical power fails, and development of nodes, which could integrate several power supply solutions, are described in this paper. The proposed node needs to be able to send notifications to the utility, demanding the use of backup energy strategies. The authors of the research offered an approach that can help to use pseudo autonomous system power supply scheme with PV panels as alternative power source for WSN nodes in particular irradiation conditions. Based on the test results, an integrated power control module parameters are developed. The paper outlines possible limitations of MIS application, which are related to the features of active power control and relay protection settings of generation units (GU). The paper addresses specific features of power system operation modes characterized by frequency and voltage drops. It is proved that load parameters exert significant influence on power system operation mode calculation and determine the feasibility of control actions defined by MIS algorithms and settings. Thus, it is feasible to develop an effective primary and backup protection scheme for transmission lines by utilizing the information from PMU-cum-Relays. Regarding the conventional relays, it is observed that its operation is severely affected with the presence of events like power swings, load encroachment etc. In this paper, authors propose to utilize wide area monitoring system for backup protection of transmission lines using proposed phasor data concentrator (PDC) index, which is calculated at PDC using the measured frequencies from different PMUs. As the backup protection scheme is centrally executed at PDC, the proposed scheme do not require the coordination time, but do involve communication delays associated with the network. The effectiveness of proposed special protection scheme has been tested and validated on reduced NEREB 29-bus Indian power system with distributed generation sources using SINCAL and MATLAB softwares. The existing types of silicon PV panels are analyzed, their classification ta Jven. The best active load parameter for mono-crystalline and polycrystaUine PV panels, which corresponds to the criterion of transmitting the maximum power to the load, has been determined. The results of experimental studies are presented in the form of volt-ampere characteristics and dependence of the PV panels' power on the load current. Results give the possibility to outline a new approach application of green energy, using innovative technologies- sustainable road-pavemenT for green energy production. The solution of sustainable road-pavement enables to produce green energy for additional lightening of the streets using considerable LED technologies with acceptable monitoring. On one hand it is a well-known approach easy to be analyzed on the other hand it is not sufficient to cover all operation modes range that is required for operation in energy storage applications. PI-regulator of current loop with fixed parameters has similar results for different currents. Voltage loop compensation in case of different operation currents have to be compensated in more sophisticated way. PI-controller of voltage loop is handling well only in limited area of whole current range. Therefore voltage control system has to be designed with dynamically changed coefficients. Therefore a gain scheduling technique is applied. A model with time-variable load has been simulated with gain scheduling feedback loop and compared to control systems with fixed coefficients. The discussion is concluded by following: the current control loop may be designed with fixed coefficients while voltage control loop over the mentioned current control loop suggested being gain-scheduled one. A hardware redesign might take a place to make the control design easier in case of over-sizing of capacitor and inductor as ones are main Q-parameter defining elements. The primary goal of this project is to gain students’ understanding of the interaction between the mechanical, electrical, magnetic, thermal and control domain. All these contents are touched independently in the classical curricula. The domain interactions that are present in practice are often not sufficiently comprehensible for the students. This project visualizes these interactions in a handy design.The SRM fits perfectly for this purpose: A periodic minimisation of the magnetic resistance generates torque. The required current waveforms are realised by MOSFET-based asymmetric half-bridges operated in an analogue bang-bang current control loop. A 3D-printed gray-code encoder lucidly ensures a current injection to each pair of windings.
