Method:The clinical data of 41 PHPT patients who received IOPTH monitoring (IOPTH group) during surgery from January 2009 to December 2014 were retrospectively analyzed. The clinical manifestation, examination and changes of parathyroid hormone and Calcium before and after operation were collected. Result:There were 12 males and 29 females (Parathyroid adenoma 36 cases, parathyroid carcinoma 5 cases). 23 caases were positive in 24 cases of 99mTc-MIBI parathyroid adenoma radionuclide examination, 2 cases were positive in 3 cases of parathyroid carcinoma radionuclide 99mTc-MIBI inspection (p= 0.213). 10 min after tumor resection, PTH decreased by 50% or more than preoperative PTH level in all cases except for one case of parathyroid carcinoma. 23 cases appeared hypocalcemia in 36 cases of parathyroid adenoma postoperative and 2 cases appeared hypocalcemia in 5 cases of parathyroid cancer patients (P=0.361). No postoper-ative hoarseness, cough, bleeding appeared. Patients were followed up from 6 to 72 months, hypocalcemia symptoms recovered 2 weeks to 3 months later after surgery. No permanent hypoparathyroidism appeared. One case of parath-yroid carcinoma died of hypercalcemia five months after surgery, The remaining 40 cases survived without recurrence and deaths. Conclusion: Intraoperative PTH monitoring can help surgeons analyze whether all the hyperthyroidism gland have been removed in order to avoid missing multiple gland disease and avoid unnecessary bilateral neck exploration. This method has high accuracy, so it is recommended to routinely use in PHPT surgery.","PeriodicalId":184905,"journal":{"name":"2016 8th International Conference on Information Technology in Medicine and Education (ITME)","volume":"5 3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131973145","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, VMAT can only be implement-ed on the new generation accelerators such as the Varian Rap-idArc and Elekta Synergy, which prevents most existing linacs from delivering in VMAT. The purpose of this study is to investigate using constant dose rate IMAT on conventional linear accelrator, by comparing with the IMRT technology to evaluate the performance of IMAT on thoracic esophageal carcinoma patients and then provide guidance for clinical treatment. The results show that thoracic esophageal carci-noma can be implemented IMAT plans on conventional Vari-an 23EX Linac for smoothly and quickly at busy cancer center. Comparing with the IMRT techonology IMAT plans can meet the clinical demand, gives comparable OAR and improved CI of PTV, can reduce treatment time and high dose irradiated volume, while increase the treatment MU and low dose irra-diated volume of healthy tissues and the volume of the lung V5 and V10. This point needs to pay attention to implementation in clinical.","PeriodicalId":184905,"journal":{"name":"2016 8th International Conference on Information Technology in Medicine and Education (ITME)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129018710","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
