Control schemes are presented which allow controlling single-phase converter and independently each phase of the three-phase converter-interfaced PVs during grid connected or stand alone operation. These controllers technique provide additional control flexibility to balance voltages in a distribution network with high penetration of PVs. The performance of these controllers is tested and explained using case studies implemented in Power system simulation program (PSCAD).","PeriodicalId":178037,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Engineering & MIS 2020","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125341327","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There are so many techniques were investigated and presented by researchers to give a better estimated results for weather forecasting, some of these techniques were used a traditional techniques that used statistical methods and others were used the improved techniques as using Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) approach and soft computing as has been investigated in this paper. All of these techniques have used the same weather-measured stations location to obtain the predicted results. In this work, the one-day period temperature is forecasted from historical data that collected from surrounding neighboring weather-measured stations at different geographical locations instead of the current location (target station) of the weather-measured station, as well as the missed data at the target weather-measured station were obtained using the Radial Basis Function (RBF) and ANN model approach. This research has applied to simulate the five measured-weather stations at different geographical locations in Libya and Greece country. Finally, results of generating, forecasting and finding of missing data in the main weather-measured station were excellent in general and the idea behind of this work has been approved using Matlab programming language.","PeriodicalId":178037,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Engineering & MIS 2020","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124045211","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Nowadays, due to the unstable situation of the country, the cost of the laboratories equipment increases and sometimes spare parts are not available. However, most of these labs are out of date and do not follow the rapid development of the electrical systems. In addition, they contain a lot of non-operational equipment, devices, parts, and measurement units. Therefore, because of these reasons, modeling and simulation tools for electrical systems have emerged to enable users building up, observing, analyzing, modifying and designing various operational systems without the actual need to order components and assembling. This paper presents a simulations packet for educational and training purposes. The simulations package deals with power electronics converters and their applications. This developed tool version is improved for electrical and electronic engineering students at the undergraduate level and is covering the practical part of power electronics courses. The proposed simulations package is based on libraries of Matlab/Simulink software. The methodology is demonstrated by realizing numerous simulation examples of converter circuits.","PeriodicalId":178037,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Engineering & MIS 2020","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126877467","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

While planning the solar-hydrogen plant there are some factors that should be considered while establishing the project, including the residential electricity demand, the availability of water and sufficient sunlight, and the hydrogen production rate. The data calculation of the project is undertaken using (PVGIS) website to model the radiance and the amount of sunlight, and Excel for modelling the hydrogen demand and production. This paper presents a stand-alone solar hydrogen plant to cover the daily electricity demand of a residential unit consisting of six apartments. Solar power was obtained through International Global Radiation and PV panels, while hydrogen was acquired via water electrolysis. The system fulfilled the specified residence's electricity demand with enough electricity, with zero greenhouse gas emissions. This renewable solar-hydrogen community has demonstrated and clarified that it is possible to be fully reliant on renewable electricity daily. In addition, it is a real example of the efficiency and the effectiveness of hydrogen usage in energy storage, along with its high reliability as a substitute for oil and gas.","PeriodicalId":178037,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Engineering & MIS 2020","volume":"417 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117317546","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
