There are several circumstances when one encounters TEM waves guided by multiple conductors, like in flat cables, high frequency polyphase transmission lines, etc. In this work we develop a methodology for multiconductor TEM waves, as follows. The two dimensional Laplace equation for the scalar potential is solved for the given cross section geometr y, having N+1 conductors. Then an N×N elastance matrix is derived, and from it a characteristic impedance matrix, defining the connection between the voltages and the currents of a forward moving wave. From the impedance matrix one calculates the values of N(N+1)/2 resistors network that consist the matched load for the given geometry.","PeriodicalId":177385,"journal":{"name":"2012 IEEE 27th Convention of Electrical and Electronics Engineers in Israel","volume":"66 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-12-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126279889","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Semidefinite relaxation (SDR) approach is utilized. The SDR problem is further reduced to the sequential linear programming by adding new form of cutting planes and column generation method. Bit error rate (BER) performance results conclude the paper. BER performance is compared with other MIMO detection algorithms. Performance of the new scheme practically identical to performance of the maximum-likelihood detection, while complexity is much less and does not depend on the conditioning number of the channel matrix.","PeriodicalId":177385,"journal":{"name":"2012 IEEE 27th Convention of Electrical and Electronics Engineers in Israel","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-12-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122188334","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Presently the QLT is applied to Rotating Systems (RS), using the slip-shells model. It is shown that an observer rotating relative to a monochromatic plane wave will measure a Bessel series type frequency spectrum. Scattering by concentric rotating circular cylinders is analyzed. As expected, the scattered wave in the initial frame shows no Doppler frequency shifts. For material cylinders, radiation pattern and scattering coefficients show velocity effects. Moreover, these effects depend on the sense of rotation. Due to the frequency spectrum in the cylinder's rest frame, dispersion effects will be displayed. Unlike the instantaneous velocity approximation model, based on the Minkowski Constitutive Relations (MCR), the present model has the potential of dealing with non axially symmetric rotating scatterers.","PeriodicalId":177385,"journal":{"name":"2012 IEEE 27th Convention of Electrical and Electronics Engineers in Israel","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-12-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120976772","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Degradation of parameters can be even worse if the system is operated at extreme supply voltages and temperature conditions. In this work we study the behavior of synchronizers in a broad range of supply voltage and temperature corners. A digital on-chip measurement system is presented that helps to characterize synchronizers in future technologies and a new calibrating system to account for supply voltage and temperature changes is shown.
