The purpose is to improve students’ learning outcomes through the implementation of the Problem-based Learning model. The research was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, which are planning, action, observation, and reflection. The techniques used to collect data were observation, tests, and documentation. The initial condition of the research showed that the percentage of students’ learning completeness was only limited to 10.34% (Very Less), which subsequently increased in the first cycle to 55.17% (Sufficient). The students’ learning outcomes increasingly improved in the second cycle with the percentage of students’ completeness, which reached 89.66% (Very Good). The results indicate that the application of the PBL model in learning implies a significant effect on the improvement of students’ learning outcomes in class V.B, especially on the volume of cubes and beams that have been studied. Thus, the PBL model can be said to be one of the effective learning models that can improve the student’s learning outcomes, which will be more effective if it continues to be examined as long as keeping up with the times.","PeriodicalId":17723,"journal":{"name":"JURNAL PAJAR (Pendidikan dan Pengajaran)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48535298","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Hence, the formulation of the problem is \"Can the numbered head together method increase elementary school teacher competence at SD Tambang Sub-Districts in Kampar?\". The research is a school action research (SAR). The Kemmis and Mc. Taggart’s model is a spiral from one to another further cycle. The research subjects were teachers at an elementary school in the Tambang sub-district of Kampar. The number of classroom teachers who were the subjects of the research was 12 school principals who were at SD Tambang sub-districts in Kampar. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that the numbered head-together method can improve teacher competence. Through numbered head-together method, teachers’ activity becomes more active and teachers tend to be positive to follow the teaching and learning process conducted by the researcher or in the implementation. In cycle I, it can be seen that the teachers’ teaching competence was still relatively good with an average score of 70.29. While the results in cycle II, teachers’ teaching competence reached an average score of 79.52, which was classified as very good.","PeriodicalId":17723,"journal":{"name":"JURNAL PAJAR (Pendidikan dan Pengajaran)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42247715","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research is a qualitative descriptive study with a case study at SMA Negeri 1 Sukabumi in West Java Province Indonesia. The research begins with a survey, which involves the distribution of questionnaires to 13 learning subject teachers in grade 10 and 69 tenth-grade students who were selected randomly. The questionnaire results were analyzed as a basis for further research, including in-depth interviews, observations, and document studies. Classroom observations were carried out on two teachers who have implemented learning using ChatGPT. To deepen the results of the observations, interviews were distributed to the two teachers and three students who were randomly selected from the observed classes. The research findings indicate that learning using ChatGPT can assist teachers in preparing and directing students in the teaching and learning process. With teacher guidance, students are expected to gain knowledge more comprehensively and deeply by asking specific questions that align with learning objectives. The teacher’s competence to guide students in the use of ChatGPT in terms of n achieving learning objectives determines the achievement of learning outcomes from each student. In the current implementation of education in capturing information on the resulting human resources, it is required to obtain information on a very broad scale and human resources are also required to be able to understand various matters, one of which is understanding related to English. In this study, the researcher used a qualitative descriptive method to describe the HOTS concept which would be implemented in English learning activities at SDN 1 Timpag . Qualitative research generally describes the dominant data using words rather than describing phenomena through a numeric number. Based on the results of the research that has been done, some conclusions that can be drawn in this study are that the HOTS indicator learning method is developed in its entirety, there are 6 indicators including Creating, Evaluating, Analyzing, Applying, Remembering and Understanding . At SDN 1 Timpag as a whole there are several implementation indicator ideas that can be improved in the implementation of HOTS in English materials including story telling planning, introduction to animal objects and body anatomy and simple greetings and the use of grammar.","PeriodicalId":17723,"journal":{"name":"JURNAL PAJAR (Pendidikan dan Pengajaran)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45702680","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research was conducted at class XI IPS 2 of SMA Negeri 2 Karimun. The approach used is quasi-experimental research with a one-group pretest-posttest design. Data collection techniques used observation sheets and questionnaires. Data on the suitability of the learning process with the model are obtained through observation sheets based on PBL syntax and the level of students' critical thinking skills is obtained through questionnaires of students' critical thinking skills. Data analysis techniques used t-tests. The results indicate that the use of the PBL model can improve students' critical thinking skills. It is evidenced from after implementing the PBL model, the students' critical thinking skills increased from the medium category to the high category with a percentage of 53%. Hence, it is expected for teachers to increase the students' critical thinking skills. Thus, it can be applied through the appropriate learning models, one of which is the problem-based learning model.","PeriodicalId":17723,"journal":{"name":"JURNAL PAJAR (Pendidikan dan Pengajaran)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44708993","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
