Answers were searched to the following research-related questions: 1. Which techniques used in physiotherapy are effective in scar treatment? 2. Which tools used in physiotherapy are applied in scar treatment? 3. Was it possible to determine which approach had turned out to be the most efficient in scar treatment? The authors took advantage of the scientifically accepted medical databases online, such as: PubMed and Physiotherapy Evidence Database (PEDro). The inclusion criterion of the randomized clinical trial was based on the papers published between 2016 and May 2021. The papers on scar treatment reporting approaches different from those pertaining to physiotherapy were not included. Moreover, the papers written in languages other than English were not included either. 281 papers pertaining to this issue were found and 35 papers on physiotherapy approaches were selected. Finally, 9 papers were subjected to critical analysis. Most of the authors (n=3) reported using shockwave in their research. Next, laser treatment (n=2) or manual therapy (n=2) were applied. While each respondent is aware of the supplementation effect and knows popular dietary supplements such as creatine, vitamin D, caffeine or electrolytes, not all of them know how to use them properly. Five electronic databases (PubMed, Physiotherapy Evidence Database / PEDro, Google Scholar, Science Direct and Scopus) were searched. From 115 selected records authors presented various therapeutic and prophylactic options, such as: manual therapies, exercises to strengthen the muscles stabilizing the lumbar spine, stretching exercises, yoga, pilates, the possibility of using orthopedic equipment, learning appropriate work ergonomics, maintaining the correct body posture, elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy and various types of multidisciplinary programs combining individual elements. 8 scientific papers were qualified for the final analysis. Then, the selected articles were assigned to particular levels of physioprophylaxis (described in the resolution of the National Council of Physiotherapists of May 2019). The timely physiotherapeutic and physioprophylactic measures have been found effective and may be helpful in the recovery process and back pain reduction. Among the described preventive interventions, the research was dominated by such elements as: education related to proper work ergonomics, exercises improving the stability of the trunk by activating deep muscles and making soft tissues more flexible. Physical activity was\u0000a m recurring element in each study, we can thus conclude that it is the leading tool supporting human well-being and health. It also allows you to minimize the negative effects resulting from bad movement habits, overload, long stay in the same positions, as well as a long-term sedentary or physical work.\u0000Conclusions. The FIFA 11 program was designed and introduced for the team of footballers and its goal was reduction of injuries in footballers. Moreover, the FIFA 11 warm up program introduced in the group of teenage footballers can contribute to improvement of body balance and “Y” test results. Therefore, the main goal of this paper was assessment of FIFA 11 program effectiveness in improvement of „Y” balance test in the sample of teenage footballers. \u0000Material and methods. 30 subjects were selected for the study and the sample was next randomly divided into 2 equal groups: the experimental group and the control group. The participants’ age ranged from 16 to17 years. In order to assess body balance the test was performed twice prior to FIFA11 warm up program an on completion of the 10-weeks’ workout program. Next, the competitors’ body balance was assessed using „Y” test. In the experimental group, the competitors participated in FIFA warm up program instead of doing standard warm up.\u0000Results. The results indicate body balance improvement in the teenager footballers after the 10-day FIFA 11 program, and the “Y” test revealed an improvement of dynamic balance (the right and left lower limbs, mean forward movement p<0.05 and the overall result p<0.05). Moreover, the applied FIFA 11 program contributed to improvement of the total normalized value (as compared with the result of the first test) and the final assessment of 50% of participants (as compared with the first study) revealed that the total result obtained in the experimental group during “Y” test was above 89.6%.\u0000Conclusions. The 10 day FIFA 11 program contributed to the improvement of selected parameters of “Y” balance test in teenage football players. Moreover, the introduced FIFA 11 program contributed to the improvement of the normalized value obtained in “Y” test, which was above 89.6%. The aim of this study was to assess the health-related behaviour of women practising judo and ju-jitsu in comparison with others (active and physically inactive). \u0000Material and methods. The study involved 414 women aged 18 to 30. For comparison purposes, they were divided into three groups. Group 1 (n=56) were women practising judo or ju-jitsu. Group 2 (n=166) were persons practising other types of regular physical activity and Group 3 (n=192) included those who did not engage in organized physical activity of any kind. The study used the Juczynski Health-Related Behaviours Inventory and the authors’ own survey. \u0000Results. The studied judo and ju-jitsu athletes were characterized by a high or average level of health behaviours (on average 85.87). The total score of the intensity of health behaviours achieved by amateur athletes practising combat sports and martial arts was higher than the results of the other groups (p<0.01). \u0000Conclusion. Women practising martial arts were characterized by a high overall index of health behaviours – they more often paid attention to correct eating habits and preventive health behaviours, among others. Firefighter profession is characterized by a high level of risk due to the threat, mainly related to rescue and fire extinguishing, workouts, training and other actions. They result from the firefighters’s duties and affect the health and life of the firefighters on duty. The aim of the study was to assess the specificity of injuries in the State (SFB) and Volunteer Fire Brigade (VFB), assessment of the cumulation of health-related behaviors based on the Modified Inventory of Behaviors by Juszczynski, and the effect of the cumulated behaviors on the injury rate, both in the State and Volunteer Fire Brigades. \u0000Material and methods. The sample included the occupationally active firefighters from the Volunteer Fire Brigade in the Opole and Lower Silesia voivodeships. The applied approach involved the application of an anonymous questionnaire filled out by volunteers participating in the study. The questionnaire included basic data on their service (State or Volunteer Fire Brigade), age, gender and the presence or absence of contusions, and a possible form of treatment to be applied. Moreover, the Modified Inventory of Health-Related Behaviors by Juszczynski was applied. The questionnaire contained 18 statements describing health-related behaviors.\u0000Results. The comparison of the results corresponding to physical activity among the firefighters from the State and Volunteer Fire Brigade indicates that all the firefighters from the State Fire Brigade were physically active. In the case of the Volunteer Fire Brigade (VFB) there were 20 firefighters including 6 firefighters who did not practice any form of physical activity. In State Fire Brigade (SFB) there were 29 firefighters who had sustained contusion and 5 healthy ones. In both groups, the subjects most often sustained contusions while performing other types of physical activity than rescue and fire fighting actions. The majority of firefighters (16 in SFB and 11 in VFB) sustained joint sprain. Despite the numerous fire extinguishing interventions, the cases of burns poisoning are rare. The results also suggest that the surveyed firefighters neglect the recommended dietary habits and rest. \u0000Conclusions. 1. The results indicate no statistically significant differences between SFB and VFB membership and the circumstances of injuries sustained. 2. The membership in SFG and VFB has an effect on undertaking physical activities, however, it has no effect on injuries/contusions. 3.
