These do directly result in the e-learning boom times. E-learning provides convenience for the learner, which makes anyone can study in anytime, anywhere. But the security and privacy problems could derail e-learning development plan in future. The learner's privacy may be violated while the personal information is collected, used, delivered, stored because of security mechanism. This paper provides perspective and prescription of security and privacy problems within e-learning. At first, we classify the motivation of privacy invasion within e-learning. Furthermore, we analyze information security mechanism and propose security solutions of privacy invasion problems. We focus on the methods how to constructing an e-learning system in that the learner ensure secure access to education resources and service.","PeriodicalId":170838,"journal":{"name":"2011 IEEE International Symposium on IT in Medicine and Education","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127890506","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Curriculum, developed to enable students to obtain appropriate knowledge and skills in a range of related disciplines, plays the most significant role in education. In order to promote the competency of graduates and help them adapt to the job market's demand, a competency-based curriculum framework is proposed in the paper. Furthermore, the process of curriculum construction in the specialty of health information management based on the proposed curriculum framework will be described in great detail. During the implementation, an investigation study related to positions' requirement is adopted and presented, which help planners to confirm the competencies and orientation of specialty. Considering the competencies as a vital point, a curriculum plan is identified with an introduction to detailed course module. Finally, the characteristics of the presented curriculum are analyzed and discussed.","PeriodicalId":170838,"journal":{"name":"2011 IEEE International Symposium on IT in Medicine and Education","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126346637","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of successful methods for complex background is to use a multi-color background model per pixel, like Gaussian mixture models(GMM). However, the common problem for this approach is that it suffers from high computation complexity and is unfeasible in the distributed real-time surveillance system. Furthermore, the GMM method generally can not solve the problems such as ghost, shadow and the situation of illumination changes. This paper proposed an effective scheme based on edge-characteristic and inter-frame difference. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can get exact moving object from complex background accurately like GMM, meanwhile dramatically reduce the operating time, which is 30% of the GMM. Furthermore, the approach can effectively eliminate the distributions of background and the changes of illumination.","PeriodicalId":170838,"journal":{"name":"2011 IEEE International Symposium on IT in Medicine and Education","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131530520","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Method: RCTs involving acupuncture for anxiety disorders were identified from CBM, VIP, WANFANG Database, CNKI, PubMed, EMbase, and The Cochrane Library‥ All retrieval cut-off time was April 1, 2011, and meanwhile, the manual retrieval from Guangzhou University of traditional Chinese medicine library database was processed. report quality evaluation of the those included literature will be conducted with OCSI (Oregon CONSORT STRICTA Instrument) This will be a comparative study according to the year when the literatures were published and the score of each entry. Result 58 papers have been included. Between 1994 and 2011, the acupuncture treatment of anxiety disorder RCT report has been significantly increased, and the quality has been improved gradually. (P<0.001) However, there are 16 items whose mean scores <1.0 points (No 5,9,11,12,13,14,15,16,17, 18,19,21,24,25,26,27). Those 16 items account for 59.3% of the total number [95%CI (40.72%∼77.67%)]. Meanwhile, operator's background, diversity of result analysis method, the implementation methods of random sequence, allocation concealment, distribution sequences, setting blinding and evaluation the success of blinding implementation, the flow of participants through each stage quantitatively described and reasons of protocol deviations were relatively poorer. Conclusion The quality of those papers in acupuncture treatment for anxiety disorder research is generally low at present, In the future, application of international recognized CONSORT statement and STRICTA standard to regularize acupuncture clinical trials is recommended.","PeriodicalId":170838,"journal":{"name":"2011 IEEE International Symposium on IT in Medicine and Education","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132963623","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
