At first, 10–20 tadpoles of B. bufo and B.naddei in gosner20 and gosner25 were put into 5 exposure groups and 1 control group respectively, finding their LC50s; then chose 60 tadpoles of B.bufo and B.naddei in gosner20 respectively, in accordance with the concentrations of 1/10, 1/100 and 1/1000 of their LC50s for exposure, measuring the body length of every group for 5 tadpoles after every 3 days. From the start of exposure, we kept continuous observation on the behavior changes. The most typical symptom of tadpoles in the period of acute experiment was the change of tail swing. The LC50 values of butachlor of different concentrations were found respectively. In the period of chronic exposure, the body length of B.bufo and B. naddei was affected significantly by the toxicity of the herbicide butachlor. When they do some exercises, many people evaluate their physical condition subjectively. However, subjective assessment is confusion. Therefore, it is necessity to estimate body condition objectively. There are many ways to estimate body condition. Among them, in this study we estimate from muscle fatigue. Muscles are moved by muscle fibers contracting after receiving commands from the brain. People can move muscles freely, but they cannot keep moving them infinity. If muscle fatigue occurs, a person can begin to lose coordination. As a consequence, it is difficult to train efficiently and the decrease or output has the potential to facilitate serious injury. Therefore, understanding muscle fatigue is vital information when building muscular strength or endurance in exercises. Most of exercises are composed contracting plural muscles. In a previous study, during low level contraction a electromyogram (EMG) recordings confirmed that alternating recruitment of various parts of the knee-extensors to delay fatigue. When tiredness was caused at the movement composed by two or more muscles, each muscles are observed the activity alternation. In this study, we make a hypothesis about continuing to exert tension to alternate muscle activity in the exercise consisting of multiple muscles. If muscles become fatigue gradually, frequency of alternate muscle activity increase, and finally exhausted, all the muscles contract synchronously. The effects of temperature (5.5±0.5, 8.5±0.5, 11.5±0.5, 14.5±0.5, 17.5±0.5°C) on SDA of brook trout (Salvelinus fontinalus Mitchill) was evaluated, by measuring the temporal pattern of the oxygen consumption rates, after feeding. Peak VO<inf>2</inf> (highest recorded oxygen consumption rate following feeding) and SDAE (energy expended on SDA) increased slowly to a maximum at 14.5±0.5°C, and then decreased at 17.5±0.5 °C. The relationships between Peak VO<inf>2</inf> (mg·kg−1·h−1), the SDA<inf>E</inf> (kJ·kg−1) and temperature (t, °C) were respectively described as: Peak VO<inf>2</inf> = −0.1332t4 + 5.6612t3 −86.317t2 + 581.33t − 1275.3, SDA<inf>E</inf> = −23.59t4 + 999.28t3 − 15303t2 + 101913t − 229665 (n=650, R2 = 1, 4.5<t<17.5). The results of Peak VO<inf>2</inf> and SDA<inf>E</inf> showed that the optimum growth of brook trout occurred at 14.5±0.5□. Duration decreased from 28±0.7h to 16±0.6h as the temperature increased from 5.5±0.5 to 17.5±0.5°C.
