The proposed system consists of three basic parts: acquisition, processing and visualization with VR. The processing unit comprises translation of 2D to 3D images of real world objects and augmentation of the real world object in a virtual environment with unity. Through deep learning and RealSense SDK, skeleton data is achieved which helps augment the real world 3D object into a virtual environment in unity. The proposed system enables real-time augmentation of the real world objects in a virtual 3D environment created in unity game engine. Therefore, the system allows users developing mixed reality applications for real life problem solving.","PeriodicalId":166950,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE Asia-Pacific Conference on Computer Science and Data Engineering (CSDE)","volume":"116 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115655257","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However due to the complex scenes having intensity in-homogeneity, sea clutter and noise, success of these algorithms is limited. In order to bridge this gap, in this paper we focused on automatic IR ship detection and semantic segmentation problem with the perspective of deep learning based algorithms. At first we have enhanced the previously published IRShips1 dataset to IRShips2 by increasing 18 scenes to newly labeled 178 diverse set of scenes. Then for the ship semantic segmentation task we have trained a UNet architecture with a ResNet based backbone. We have used transfer learning and data augmentation to overcome the limitations of small size of dataset. Experimental results show significant improvement in both efficiency (FPS) and accuracy (IoU and F-Score) as compared to the existing GBVS based algorithm on both IRShips1 and IRShips2 datasets. Finally we have also labeled our dataset for bounding box based detection and showed benchmark results (mAP) of two state of the art object detectors i.e.yoloV4 and yoloV5. We hope that our new IRShips2 dataset along with results of proposed baseline AI models will serve a useful benchmark for the research community.","PeriodicalId":166950,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE Asia-Pacific Conference on Computer Science and Data Engineering (CSDE)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114315349","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Green lean six sigma (GLSS) is an emerging strategy that can aid manufacturing organizations in mitigating environmental impacts such as wastewater pollution, air emissions, resource depletion, and energy consumption. However, organizations face immense challenges in implementing green lean six sigma as an integrated approach. A systematic literature review (SLR) is conducted to investigate the green lean six sigma tools used in manufacturing firms and how they can be integrated, using the six sigma DMAIC (define, measure, analyze, improve, and control) approach, for environmental performance. The SLR results provide valuable insights into the GLSS domain, which can facilitate practitioners and consultants towards implementing the green lean six sigma tools as an integrated approach for improving environmental performance.","PeriodicalId":166950,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE Asia-Pacific Conference on Computer Science and Data Engineering (CSDE)","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124760760","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It contributed to minimize physical activity, especially reducing the elbow range of motion (ROM). Early rehabilitation and physiotherapy are recommended to combat the adverse effects of extended immobility. However, the increased patient-physiotherapist interaction increased risks of disease transmission. There emerges a need to minimize this interaction and disease transmission probability. This study aims to speed-up the return to regular ROM of COVID-19 patients by developing a self-assisted device for successful elbow therapy. The proposed device referred as ‘self-assisted’, reflects the idea of active and passive patient intervention and early rehabilitation. The device is designed and programmed to characterize the patients into three levels, depending on their ROM vulnerability: level 1 below 50°, level 2 50°-100° and level 3 above 100°. To examine the efficacy and accuracy of SAPT-COVID-19, eight volunteers with varying ages were selected, who were home-bound due to prolong COVID-19 pandemic and compromised their functional ROM. SAPT-COVID-19 substantially strengthened the elbow ROM for the volunteers and hit the maximum functional ROM over 14-days exercise session, resulting in approximately 10° improvement in elbow ROM. The degree of efficiency of active and passive exercise has also been widely examined. SAPT-COVID-19 is supposed to prevent elbow ROM deterioration and reduce hospitalization, with therapeutic and economic gain and minimized the physiotherapist-patient interactions.","PeriodicalId":166950,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE Asia-Pacific Conference on Computer Science and Data Engineering (CSDE)","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125582250","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As an agricultural country, we are mostly dependent on a cultivation which is dependent on the soil type. There are 3 most important nutrients in any soil, it’s known as the primary macronutrients: Nitrogen (N), Phosphorus (P), and Potassium (K). Each of the primary nutrients is very essential in plant nutrition, serving a critical role in the growth and reproduction of the plant. We propose and demonstrate Crop Suggesting System based on N.P.K. values by using machine learning which will determine the best crop to grow in a particular soil based on some major criteria. This model will play a vital role in our agricultural sectors to fulfill the needs of our country by reaching the highest level of efficiency and ensure the best use of our arable lands. We have used four different machine learning algorithms named SVM, Adaboost, Random Forest and Logistic Regression and achieved a maximum of 98% accuracy using SVM.","PeriodicalId":166950,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE Asia-Pacific Conference on Computer Science and Data Engineering (CSDE)","volume":"74 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126281418","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper proposes several algorithms to schedule flexible-power loads that arrive unpredictably to a grid-connected microgrid. These are based on standard schedulers such as Shortest Remaining Processing Time (SRPT), adapted to the fact that appliances have maximum power ratings. A simple decentralized scheduler is applied to ensure that the aggregate load does not exceed the generation, and a gain control mechanism is proposed to stabilize the system. The proposed scheduler has two sources of sub-optimality: determining the values of the control signals, and their overall structures. In order to separate these two effects, we consider a full communication version as a benchmark in order to assess performance against the SRPT-based algorithms and fair sharing. This full communication “decentralized” approach approximates the performance of SRPT-based policies, suggesting that a true decentralized controller may be feasible in the future.","PeriodicalId":166950,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE Asia-Pacific Conference on Computer Science and Data Engineering (CSDE)","volume":"1 3","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120997190","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
