Electrostatic actuation requires very high actuation Voltage to pull the cantilever. Bimorph Cantilever beam could be used to reduce the actuation Voltage. COMSOL Multiphysics Electromechanics interface is used to simulate the Pull-in Voltage. We Compare the Pull-in Voltage of different Bimorph Cantilever beam Materials. The Analytical and Simulation result shows that the pull-in voltage of Aluminum and Gold Bimorph Cantilever is 4.05V and is less compared to other Bimorph Cantilever beam materials simulated.","PeriodicalId":157362,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Circuits and Systems in Digital Enterprise Technology (ICCSDET)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130226759","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We utilized the EEG data from 29 seizures of 18 patients who underwent multi-day video-scalp EEG monitoring as part of their presurgical evaluation. Seven time domain measures – signal energy, approximate entropy (ApEn), sample entropy (SampEn), mean, variance, skewness and kurtosis were calculated for each windowed signal. Among them, signal energy was selected as significant feature to discriminate normal and seizure condition. The performance of five classifiers – Linear Discriminant Algorithm (LDA), Naive Bayes (NB), Decision Tree (DT), Support Vector Machine (SVM) and k-Nearest Neighbour (KNN) using signal energy feature were analysed to test the suitability for automated seizure detection. Among the five, LDA and NB classifiers detected the unknown samples with sensitivity (specificity) of 44% (95%), 54% (90%) respectively. The other two, DT and KNN classifiers performed with sensitivity (specificity) of 74% (73%), and 74% (67%) respectively. The SVM classifier performed with sensitivity and specificity of 64% and 82% is found suitable for the design of generalized system to detect the onset of seizure.","PeriodicalId":157362,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Circuits and Systems in Digital Enterprise Technology (ICCSDET)","volume":"117 25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126415961","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The U-slots in square patch optimizes the spacing between patch fundamental orthogonal TM10 and TM01 resonant modes that yields axial ratio bandwidth of 42 MHz in 950 MHz frequency spectrum. The U-slots reduces the resonance frequencies of higher order TM11 and TM02 modes and optimizes the current contribution at same which gives VSWR bandwidth of above 650 MHz (>55%). Across the axial ratio and VSWR bandwidth antenna offers broadside radiation pattern. At center frequency of axial ratio bandwidth proposed antenna offers peak broadside gain of around 8 dBi. The proposed circular polarized design of square patch with U-slots can find applications in wireless mobile and personal communication applications in 950 MHz frequency spectrum.","PeriodicalId":157362,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Circuits and Systems in Digital Enterprise Technology (ICCSDET)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126522392","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To achieve the stabilization of an inverted pendulum system state observer based linear quadratic Gaussian optimal control has been applied. As the separation principal of LQG states, first the control law has been obtained to design a state feedback controller and when the system’s all states are not measurable as well as system is affected by process and measurement noise, Kalman Filter has been designed for the inverted pendulum system. The results shown that the new designed controller stabilizes the inverted pendulum system as well as eliminates process and measurement noise. Simulation has been carried out to show the approach.","PeriodicalId":157362,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Circuits and Systems in Digital Enterprise Technology (ICCSDET)","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126875146","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Challenges faced in integrating them into existing power grids have also been increasing, mainly due to their unpredictable and intermittent nature. It has been observed that various power system problems such as voltage sag/swell, harmonic distortions, power factor deterioration etc. are worsened as a result of the large scale integration of renewable sources into existing power systems. Their intermittent and unpredictable nature poses the serious threat of power and voltage instability in the grid. Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS) like capacitors and inductors to complex, expensive computer controlled power electronic devices like SVCs, STATCOMs, DVRs, Unified Power Quality Conditioners (UPFCs) etc. offer compensation for power systems. Since most of these are implemented at transmission voltage levels with large capacity and complex compensators in transmission networks, new approaches on the distribution level for Demand Side Management (DSM) and stabilizing grids are required to deal with the uncertainty posed by increased use of distributed renewable energy sources. A modified control scheme for the Electric Spring (ES) based on synchronously rotating frame control is proposed which provides voltage regulation, real and reactive grid power compensation, power factor correction and reduced distortion. MATLAB simulation model and hardware results are given to validate the novelty of the circuit.","PeriodicalId":157362,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Circuits and Systems in Digital Enterprise Technology (ICCSDET)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122703669","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
