Abstract

In wireless power transfer system, the transmitter circuit generates the high frequency signals so that the receiver can receive the signal without wire. This paper presents a new inverter which can be utilized in wireless power transfer based on the Cuk converter operating in critical conduction mode. The main feature of the proposed topology is the fact that it could be applied to either hard switching or soft switching mode of operation provided the link capacitance is negligible. This paper presents the operation, design and simulation of the inverter using MATLAB/Simulink.
