However, learning programming languages is a hard task for novice learners because they need to study syntax of the languages and implementation of algorithms using the language simultaneously. Visual programming environments are used to reduce burden of learning syntax of programming languages. On the other hand, unit testing is used to ensure that programs accurately meet requirements. Therefore, we propose a visual programming environment for novice learners that supports Haskell based visual programming and unit testing. It will reduce the learners’ burden for remembering syntax and help them to understand how to check their programs work as they intended or not. This paper reports a development of the system.","PeriodicalId":156230,"journal":{"name":"2022 12th International Congress on Advanced Applied Informatics (IIAI-AAI)","volume":"306 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116228429","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The economic causal chain is one example and refers to a cause-and-effect network structure among companies. It is constructed by extracting texts indicating causal relationships from the texts of financial statement summaries. A previous study showed there is a lead-lag effect that spreads to the ’effect’ stock group when a large stock price fluctuation in the ’cause’ stock group in the causal chain occurs. However, there is room for extracting a more robust lead-lag relationship by giving sentiment to the economic causal chain. The SSESTM (Supervised Sentiment Extraction via Screening and Topic Modeling) model has been proposed as a sentiment analysis specialized for stock return forecasting, and it produced a substantial profit in the U.S. and Japanese stock markets. In this study, we propose an investment strategy that exploits the lead-lag effect in the causal chain relationship considering the sentiments with the SSESTM model. We confirm the profitability of our proposed strategy and there is evidence of stock return predictability across causally linked companies considering sentiment.","PeriodicalId":156230,"journal":{"name":"2022 12th International Congress on Advanced Applied Informatics (IIAI-AAI)","volume":"136 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122774289","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With the development of virtual reality technology, we can create environments in which people can practice without being exposed to certain dangers like traffic accidents that potentially occur in real environments. So far, many researches regarding car driving in VR have been developed, but little attention has been paid to analyzing and visualizing eye gaze data collected in VR education systems. Analyzing and visualizing the collected eye gaze data is potential to grasp information of whether learners overlooked objects such as traffic signals and signs. In this study, we developed a driving simulator in VR and collected eye tracking data from five university students while they were practicing driving using eye tracking technology. Also, we have developed a system that allows learners to reflect on their own driving using the collected their eye gaze data. We compared the changes in gaze between those who received feedback to improve their driving skills and those who did not. The results showed that the feedback was effective because it reduced the number of oversights while driving.","PeriodicalId":156230,"journal":{"name":"2022 12th International Congress on Advanced Applied Informatics (IIAI-AAI)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125782435","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this study, issues related to recreational activities were identified from a survey of facility staff. In response to these issues, we proposed a scenario-type robotic assisted recreation (RAR) system that employed robots to alleviate the burden of the staff, as well as developed and improved a recreation management system. After conducting a demonstration test of this system at aged care facilities, we conducted a questionnaire survey of the facility staff. The results showed that this system was beneficial to the older adults, the robot was easy for staff to operate, and system improved communication with the older adults.","PeriodicalId":156230,"journal":{"name":"2022 12th International Congress on Advanced Applied Informatics (IIAI-AAI)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126390058","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The input of the proposed method consists of a product image and its product description. For example, for a red jacket with good stretch, the visual metaphor constructed by the proposed method will be \"leaping fire of youth\". For a pair of black high heels that can create an elegant temperament, the constructed visual metaphor will be \"beautiful slender swallows\". A visual metaphor is something that is similar in appearance to a fashion goods. Construction of visual metaphor will bring inspiration to poster design or any other form of propaganda. The process of the proposed method consists of two parts. First, we build a deep learning model to predict the similarity between fashion goods and metaphor on color and pattern, and obtain metaphor words based on the predicted similarity. After that, we use the obtained metaphor word and product description to generate rhetoric.","PeriodicalId":156230,"journal":{"name":"2022 12th International Congress on Advanced Applied Informatics (IIAI-AAI)","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122158097","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In branding HEI, creating similar and differentiated images that students can easily associate with is essential. In addition, most students who enter HEI are interested in the academic content of HEI, but they have difficulty understanding the specialized academic content of HEI. This may cause a mismatch in the perception of academic content between students and HEI. Therefore, it is useful to extract images of similar and differentiated that students easily associate with specialized academic content. Comparing these images among departments will provide HEI with information useful for department branding and help students understand the department. The purpose of this study is to construct the following system using the syllabus. Specifically, this study aims to (1) quantitatively estimate POP courses by quantifying the similarity between courses using the syllabus and, (2) create an interdepartmental map that enables comparison among departments using POP by solving an optimization problem for course placement that minimizes the objective function.","PeriodicalId":156230,"journal":{"name":"2022 12th International Congress on Advanced Applied Informatics (IIAI-AAI)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129182246","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
