All systems including computer systems consist of accepting raw data as inputs, using stored programs for processing the data and producing outputs as timely information. The process of transforming inputs into outputs is known as information management.1 One approach which organizations can utilize computing capability is through the development of Management Information Systems (MIS). MIS is a system using formalized procedures to provide management at all levels in all functions with appropriate information based on data from both internal and external sources, to enable them to make timely and effective decisions for planning, directing and controlling the activities for which they are responsible. It will be noted from the above definition that the emphasis is on the uses to which the information is put. Planning, directing and controlling are the essential ingredients for management.2 In essence, the processing of data into information and communicating the resulting information to the user is the key function of MIS. It should therefore be noted that MIS exist in organizations in order to help them achieve objectives, to plan and control their processes and operations, to help deal with uncertainty, and to help in adapting to change or, indeed, initiating change. Management Information System (MIS) is one of the most important tools in any organization, which aims to provide reliable, complete, accessible, and understandable information in a timely manner to the users of the system.3 MIS is a flow of procedures for data processing based on the computer, and integrated with other procedures in order to provide information in a timely and effective manner to support decision making and other management functions.4 The authors in5 opined that in order for organizations to advance into the future, they must adopt the technology utilization approach, which is a mandatory requirement for such organizations which seek excellence in performance. Moreover, the importance of MIS comes from the benefits that are generated by that system such as providing useful information in a timely manner, improved labor productivity, cost savings, providing the information without any delays and mistakes, and improved the management of work.3 One of the effective ways of managing information dissemination and retrieval in an organization is the introduction of Pigeonhole concept where information in the form of mails are delivered for the perusal and usage of different staff in the organization.","PeriodicalId":15247,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Biosensors and Bioelectronics","volume":"20 1","pages":"4-12"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-01-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"82503019","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The constitutive modelling of soft biological tissues has recently constituted a very active field of research.8 These materials have commonly been modelled as hyperelastic continua embedded into continuum mechanical formulations. In this line, one of the main tasks considers the determination of appropriate strain energy density functions, from which local mechanical quantities are obtained. Several constitutive laws have been proposed for soft tissue modelling.1,9‒11, which may be suitable depending on the kind of soft biological tissue at stake. In other words, a discrete-amplitude; discrete-time digital input signal is converted into a continuous-amplitude, continuous-time analog counterpart. In most of the cases the input digital signal is a binary-coded representation of an analog signal using N bits. The leftmost bit of the input digital word is usually called the most-significant bit (MSB), and the rightmost bit is called the least-significant bit (LSB).5‒7 Now with the advancements in VLSI technologies CMOS based current mode DACs are the very much for many applications. The main features of CMOS like their high speed, low power, and cost effectiveness enable it successful for the implementations in designing of circuits.8‒10 Nevertheless the digital to analog converter (DAC ) can equally be used as a standalone chip for SoCs. There are several digital to analog architectures for DAC designs which includes resistor string, R2R ladder networks, charge scaling, current steering, and segmented current steering.11‒13 Common problem with DAC to avoid glitches because of the rapid change of more than one digital input bit at a sampling time causes noise problems since resistors are noise sources. Because of which DAC output dose not result in expected value.14‒17 In this research studies a comparative R2R DAC using various CMOS topologies has been presented. It is well known fact that the binary weighted resistor D/A converted requires a wide range of resistance value and matched switch for each bit position.18‒22 The R2R D/A converter with an R-2R ladder network which eliminates these complications at the expense of an additional resistor for each bit is shown in Figure 1. Bit MSB and LSB are driven from logic gates. The operation of this converter can be considering the weights of different bits one at a time. This can be followed by superposition to construct analog output corresponding to any digital input word.","PeriodicalId":15247,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Biosensors and Bioelectronics","volume":"54 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"88992312","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These characteristic properties of POAP synthesized in neutral media (thickness uniformity and compactness, and low permeability) have practical applicability. POAP has usefully been employed in the development of different types of sensors, mainly biosensors based on immobilized enzymes.3 The development of glucose biosensors has received considerable attention because the determination of glucose concentration is very important in clinical applications. Most glucose measurements are based on the immobilization of glucose oxidase (GOx) for detecting hydrogen peroxide concentration, which is produced from the GOx enzyme reaction. Several glucose biosensors based on POAP are reported in the literature.4‒9 In most cases, hydrogen peroxide liberated by the enzymatic reaction is detected by measuring its oxidation current on the base electrode material (platinum, gold, glassy carbon, carbon paste, etc.). The amperometric response characteristics of the enzyme electrodes based on POAP are affected by the polymerization cycle number, the pH of the detection solution, applied potential used in the determination, and the presence of electroactive (interfering) compounds. The maximum value of the response current for POAP was obtained for a polymerization cycle number about 15. The compactness of POAP synthesized at a small number of potential cycles prevents the diffusive penetration of dissolved oxygen.9 However, thick films show a long response time and low sensitivity, but result in a wider linear response range. It has been suggested that when the number of cycles is lower than 15, then the amount of enzyme entrapped in the POAP film gradually increases with the increase of the polymerization cycle number. However, when the number of cycles is higher than 15, the amount of GOx incorporated into POAP films decreases. In respect to pH, the response current of the sensors5 increases with the increase of the pH value, and the maximum response was observed at pH 7.0.","PeriodicalId":15247,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Biosensors and Bioelectronics","volume":"333 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"91477420","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is often integrated as components of systems that automatically performs a task or alert a user of motion in an area).1 The use of motion detectors goes back to ancient societies that developed agriculture. Modern motion detection of people and things can be traced back to the early decades of 20th century with many of the same principle still in use today. The first motion detection system used ‘radar’ as sensor and its technology was sufficiently advancing. The ubiquitous use of radar would lead to other uses for motion detectors after the war.2 Other motion detector that was developed includes a detector that made use of Doppler Effect principle with the use of ultrasonic as sensor developed by Samuel Bagno. Today’s motion sensor work on the same basic principle that Samuel Bagno detector employed but used microwave and infrared sensors which detects motion by distortion in the frequencies they emit. There are two types of motion sensors namely Passive and Active sensors. Each of these types uses different technology to detect motion in the designated area. While Passive sensor does not emit energy, but read change in energy in the surrounding area, active sensor on the other hand emit one of three kinds of energy to identify motion in the surrounding area, infrared light, microwave radiation or sound waves.","PeriodicalId":15247,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Biosensors and Bioelectronics","volume":"90 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80738556","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The X-ray RT could be combined with brachytherapy and irradiation by photon or electron beams. Brachytherapy is delivered by placing the radiation source(s) inside or next to the area that requires treatment. It is widely used as an effective treatment for cervical, prostate, breast, skin cancer and some others. History of the X-ray discovery and their applications in medical X-ray imaging and the cancer treatment is discussed in many books and textbooks.1–3 Radiation therapy acts on the affected tissues and malignant cells by direct damaging of their DNA or indirect damage via ionization of their atoms and water molecules, promoting the free hydroxyl radicals formation. The photon therapy acts by free radical formation. Since the cancer cells possess lower ability to repair the cellular damage in comparison with healthy ones, and the radiation damage accumulates in the cancer cells gradually leading to their death or, at least the much lower reproducibility. Heavy charged particles like protons, boron, carbon, and neon ions cause significant damage to doublestranded DNA of the cancer cells by direct high energy transfer. Those particles produce small side scatter to the healthy tissue due to their large masses. Nowadays combination of the X-ray, photon and heavy particle beams is a promising developing technology.4–6 Contemporary methods of the treatment/surgery planning and control over the therapy/rehabilitation processes are based on precise visualization and digitization of the target region not only in the radiation oncology, but in all areas of modern medicine.3,7–9 Tremendous growth of computer technologies and methods of image acquisition and analyses influenced rapid development of new approaches allowing more precise targeting of the malignant tissues, dose calculation, treatment planning and the dose delivery.
