The KPCA has been got widely used in feature extraction and face recognition. The KPCA can extract the feature set which is more suitable in categorization than the conventional PCA. This paper tried to apply the KPCA to feature extraction of facial expression recognition. The experimental results demonstrate that the KPCA is not only good at dimensional reduction, but also available to get better performance than conventional PCA. The highest rate is 97.96%.","PeriodicalId":152024,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Intelligent Control and Information Processing","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-09-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129928930","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For this reason, we utilize the self-developed software ROST CM to detect 57662 academic keyword links of 30 hot research issues from 6 popular subjects in 3 large academic fields, 29057 through telecommunication network and 28605 through education network. After that, we got the link failure rate of major subjects through different networks, and proposed the original idea of storage priority level to effectively establish the web archive of anti-plagiarism system. On this basis, we propose the solution to link failure and make detailed descriptions of its key technology----the evaluating method of storage priority of web archives. The framework and implementation of this solution are described in detail and the problem which needs further study is put forward in the end.","PeriodicalId":152024,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Intelligent Control and Information Processing","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-09-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131068425","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The advantages of the methodologies are demonstrated on nonlinear Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor (CSTR) simulations. desired control properties is reached with a good parameter estimation and achieved results show the successful identifications and control methodologies. The voting safe function block can vote the discrete or continuous parameters and get a reliable value. A new safe communication approach is proposed for not only error sensing but also error correcting. The approach use a triple data field copies to address error correcting problem, and more safety is achieved in communication by this way. By using voting safe function block, a more safe system based on common control devices is designed. Furthermore, a markov model is established to describe safety and reliability of the voting safe function block based safe system. In this paper, a method of deflection measurement using wireless inclination sensors is presented. Firstly, based on various bridge deflection measuring methods, the method of deflection measurement using wireless inclinometer sensor is introduced. Secondly, a low-power wireless inclinometer sensor is designed using modularization way, and this kind of wireless sensor loaded with MAC protocol stack of TI can self-organize the network, measure the angle value and send the data to the coordinator. Then the deflection curve is displayed on PC. Finally, deflection measurement experiment is conducted on the bridge model. The experiment shows that the presented deflection measurement method is practical and reliable since the wireless inclination sensor in this method is easy to operate with no lines, and has extensive applicabilities and broad application prospects.","PeriodicalId":152024,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Intelligent Control and Information Processing","volume":"11 4","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-09-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114091030","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, incorporating Support Vector Machines (SVM) and Locality Preserving Projections (LPP), we propose a novel semi-supervised face recognition algorithm for video, which can discover more space-time semantic information hidden in video face sequence, simultaneously make full use of the small amount of labeled data with the plentiful unknown information and the intrinsic nonlinear structure information to extract discriminative manifold features. We also compare our algorithm with other algorithms on UCSD/Honda Video Database. It can keep the fast initial convergence speed during the whole adaptation process until the adaptive filter reaches its steady state, but it may come at the expense of a slight increase in the computational complexity per update. For this reason, the idea of improving proportionate adaptation combined with the framework of set-membership filtering in an attempt to reduce computational complexity of algorithm is presented. Because of fewer coefficients updated in the new algorithm, the computational effort decreases significantly. Simulation results show the proposed algorithm obtains a faster convergence rates than IPNLMS algorithm in sparse circumstances, and has the same performance with their conventional counterparts for situation of dispersive channel.","PeriodicalId":152024,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Intelligent Control and Information Processing","volume":"70 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-09-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121693414","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
