The constraint problem can be transformed to an optimization problem. We can solve the problem with a novel hybrid algorithm DE-PSO, which is proposed combining the particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm with differential evolution (DE) operators. It incorporates concepts from DE and PSO, updating particle not only by DE operators but also by mechanisms of PSO. The experiment shows that it can solve geometric constraint problems efficiently.","PeriodicalId":152024,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Intelligent Control and Information Processing","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-09-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121365626","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is difficult to start high-power heavy-duty induction motor for traditional soft starter. To solve the problem of soft starter for large power and heavy load in conventional soft starters, the soft starter based the theory of discrete frequency is studied in this paper, which can make motor start with high torque and little current. Using discrete frequency makes the start frequency of motor from 5.25Hz to 50Hz step by step, which can make start torque larger. This paper presents a method of the calculation of optimal triggering angle which can make the torque be the biggest and positive was produced. The simulation waveform by MATLAB is similar to the real waveform by experiment. Control hardware circuit is simple and dependable. The experiment of the high torque soft starter which has a DSP as microcomputer is completed. The experimental results show that discrete frequency soft starter can start motor smoothly with high starting torque and small starting current. The advantages of discrete frequency soft starting proposed in this paper are stable start process, simple structure, low starting current and high starting torque. The result of load test is identical that conforms the theory is correct and valid.","PeriodicalId":152024,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Intelligent Control and Information Processing","volume":"104 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-09-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122505590","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper regards TCP network as network infrastructure, and the traditional linear interpolation is applied in slave system to make slave system possesses smaller sampling period than in remote system, and then maintain motion precision. About data dropout caused because of network delay, this paper utilizes TCP network guarantee characteristic that message can achieve match SDQ-based message estimator succeeding and accurate estimating the loss message to maintain good motion precision. The ultimate goal of BCI is to build a direct communication pathway between human brain and external environment that does not depend on the limb mobility and language. In this paper, we carry out the experiment about the left or right hand motor imagery, and support vector machine with genetic algorithm(GA-SVM) and back propagation neural network with genetic algorithm (GA-BP) are employed to classify the μ rhythm evoked by movement imagination. The experiment results prove that GA-SVM can easily find out the appropriate parameters of SVM and GA-BP can avoid getting into local minimization to great extend. TFIs were generated by CWT theory from the vibration signals produced by cylinder and piston ring samples sampled from 6S50MC marine diesel engine under two different lubrication statuses. And characteristic parameters obtained by image segmentation of TFIs were analyzed in order to establish the intrinsic relationship between the characteristic parameters and friction wear status. The results show that regular variations occur to the characteristic parameters with the conduct of the friction process, and characteristic parameters of different lubrication condition show significant differences. The CWT TFI characteristic parameters of vibration signals can be used to quantitatively describe vibration signal characteristic.","PeriodicalId":152024,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Intelligent Control and Information Processing","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-09-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124224668","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

When the real time reference output is accessible, the powerful Kalman filter is recommended to update the statistical linear model. In addition, an effective initial value calculating method is proposed to perfect the powerful Kalman filter updating mechanics. When the reference output is not available, Kalman filter can not work anymore, just-in-time (JIT) updating method is brought in to update statistical models. The approach relies on a unified Bayes' theorem based framework to model both scene background and the color distribution of targets. By sharing the framework, it is more simple and low cost to construct a practical surveillance system. Additionally, the framework has the advantages of insensitiveness to initial observations and the capability of adaptive selection of modal number compared with GMM framework. By modeling the color distribution of people, the approach can keep tracking not only single person targets but also those occluded by or interacting with other people in the scene. The experiments using outdoor videos prove that the approach is effective.","PeriodicalId":152024,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Intelligent Control and Information Processing","volume":"65 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-09-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132451982","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
