Actually, the signal is windowed in relation to the lowest frequency value of a range, and the STFT is applied on the signal segments obtained by iteratively decreasing a number of samples from that window. Resulted spectrum is accomplished by identifying the biggest amplitude of each frequency bin. The period of frequency scanning is inversely related to the lowest frequency value and the spectrum refresh rate as well. High-resolution ADC and high-frequency processing microcontroller's features help to achieve an almost continuous spectrum. The device can be useful in many vibration based implementations, and its most significant advantages are the easy operation, small dimension and low-cost.","PeriodicalId":145923,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Symposium on Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering (ISFEE)","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122578586","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The laboratory work is structured in two stages - in the first one, students use simulators and the ready-to-use platforms and in the second stage, which is structured as a project, they are involved in carrying out their own platforms. The solutions chosen for the development of these platforms must be inexpensive and must makes students to experience the basic stages of a hands-on bioengineering project. The project include simulation, hardware development, software design and implementation. For the project stage, the steps for making an affordable prosthetic hand with a high flexibility and functionality will be presented. In order to evaluate the impact of uncertainty of renewable energy sources and loads, an analysis of a distribution electric network using probabilistic load flow (PLF) is presented. The probabilistic approach considers that the loads demands and the injection of distributed generators are represented in terms of probability density functions (PDFs). Monte Carlo method is applied for generating artificial values of a probabilistic variable by using a random number generator and a distribution function. Based on the calculation results, various probabilistic characteristics for bus voltage profile, lines loading and active power losses, where RES are connected, are presented. By comparing the results PLF with deterministic load flow, a great accuracy is confirmed which allows for a better efficiency in investigating the state quantities of distribution electric network under study.","PeriodicalId":145923,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Symposium on Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering (ISFEE)","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115126953","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For this, in time, several recordings are done, and sizes computed: wind velocity, electric generator power, mechanical angular speed considering, optimum mechanical angular speed–based on the dependence between mechanical angular speed and wind speed. The minimization of the time interval necessary to bring the rpm of the electric generator to the optimal value, is based on the involvement of the maximum value for the electric generator current.","PeriodicalId":145923,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Symposium on Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering (ISFEE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130192816","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this work, we present measurements performed on a 40 kW photovoltaic installation mounted on a manufacturing hall. Our measurements indicate the level to which the photovoltaic installation covers the necessary electric power requirements as well as the quality specifications for the provided electrical energy. By raising the P-Q diagram we can analyze the domain where the operating point of the installation may be found. Furthermore, we give indications on how to ensure the power autonomy on the consumer’s side, by the use of accumulators that store electric power during low-sun periods.","PeriodicalId":145923,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Symposium on Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering (ISFEE)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130811480","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
