Active Learning Methods Using Computer-Based Tools Applied in the Course "Coding in Telecommunication Systems"

Abstract

The paper describes different computer-based tools for presenting the topic of decoders of linear block codes, full of "tedious" mathematics to the students, making the classes more interesting and more attractive with the help of active learning. The applications described in the paper are applied in the educational process in the course "Coding in Telecommunication Systems" for students-bachelors of the specialty "Internet and Mobile Communication" at the University of Ruse.
