If through grounding system flows current with significant intensity then generated heat in the soil around grounding electrode will cause heat rise in that soil. Under specific circumstances this heating causes evaporation of moisture in the soil, so that resistance and temperature, considering mutually strong positive feedback, start to rise progressively. This kind of unstable condition causes spiral breakdown, which can be followed by extremely high values of soil resistance, inadmissible high values of grounding system potential and finally by high values of touch voltage and step voltage. Also, a model of fields' correlation shall be tried to be established in the soil around grounding system at the flow of high amplitude currents through that grounding system.","PeriodicalId":133824,"journal":{"name":"IEEE EUROCON 2015 - International Conference on Computer as a Tool (EUROCON)","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132619536","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Algorithm is designed for embedded devices equipped with high performance cameras being a part of an indoor positioning embedded system. An algorithm to be implemented in such a system should be efficient in terms of computational power what is hard to be achieved when large amount of data from camera devices have to be processed. Together with increasing number of MPs (Megapixels) of camera sensor the possibility of accurate detection of LED signal source also increases, especially when the distance between the source and a camera is long. High number of FPS (Frames Per Second) is necessary if the time period for optical signal transmission have to be short. This condition is important for high detection and identification speed and also makes the whole system less sensitive to tracked object motion and changes in the scene. The cost of these advantages is larger amount of data to be processed by a computation unit what can cause a problem, when the system needs to work in close to real time conditions. In the paper the proposed efficient algorithm for blinking LED detection is described and experimental results are presented as the evaluation of algorithm performance.","PeriodicalId":133824,"journal":{"name":"IEEE EUROCON 2015 - International Conference on Computer as a Tool (EUROCON)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128940803","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Background subtraction works well for videos acquired by stationary mounted camera. However, it does not work for mounted moving cameras since the background objects also move in two consecutive frames. In this paper, we propose an optical flow based moving object detection algorithm for video sequences obtained by a mounted moving camera. Our algorithm first finds the interest points in the consecutive video frames and then tracks them with pyramidal Lucas-Kanade method. After matching interest points in two frames, it generates optical flow vectors. We assume that the majority of the optical flow vectors are based on camera motion. Our algorithm determines the camera motion vector by averaging these vectors. It then crops frames for removing camera motion to determine overlapping areas of two frames. Finally, we calculate the frame differences to detect moving objects. We tested our algorithm on several video frames and observed that our algorithm determines moving objects with a very high accuracy.","PeriodicalId":133824,"journal":{"name":"IEEE EUROCON 2015 - International Conference on Computer as a Tool (EUROCON)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131220065","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The design process, simulation results and practical results are presented. The use of suitable matching networks to prevent instability as well as gain and power output improvements is described. The PA was simulated and designed using Advanced Design System (ADS) by Keysight Technologies. The implementation was tested using an IEEE802.11p signal from a Signal Generator. It meets the linearity requirement for a wide range of output levels, meaning that it can be used in three of the four power classes of the IEEE802.11p standard. The proposed design may be improved using some kind of compensation such as Digital Pre-Distortion, especially to be compliant with the D class.","PeriodicalId":133824,"journal":{"name":"IEEE EUROCON 2015 - International Conference on Computer as a Tool (EUROCON)","volume":"315 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124380255","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
