{"title":"[Clinical analysis of intrahepatic cholestasis during pregnancy in 150 patients].","authors":"Yi-ling Ding, Ling-ling Tan, Wen Deng","doi":"","DOIUrl":"","url":null,"abstract":"<p><strong>Objective: </strong>To explore the effect of intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (ICP) on the mother and fetus, and to assess the clinical value of nonstress test.</p><p><strong>Methods: </strong>The symptoms, biochemical examinations, fetal monitoring, and pregnant outcomes of 150 patients with ICP were analyzed retrospectively in our hospital.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>There was no linear relation among serum cholanic acid, glutamic-pyruvic transaminase, total bilirubin, and gestational age when skin pruritus of pregnant women appeared, but there was positive correlation among the neonate status, meconium-stained amniotic fluid, and the onset time of pruritus. There was no correlation between the amount of postpartum hemorrhage and the newborn Apgar scores. No significant difference was found in perinatal prognosis The appearance of skin between normal and abnormal outcomes in the nonstress test.</p><p><strong>Conclusion: </strong>pruritus can be a sign of the state of ICP patients. {"title":"[Construction of double-subunit co-expression eukaryotic vector of human interleukin 12].","authors":"Dong-ye Yang, Fang-gen Lu, Shui-ping Zhao","doi":"","DOIUrl":"","url":null,"abstract":"<p><strong>Objective: </strong>To construct the double-subunit co-expression plasmid P(+)/IL-12 to fulfill the gene therapy.</p><p><strong>Methods: </strong>The full length cDNAs of P40 and P35, two subunits of hIL12, were amplified from the reverse transcription production of human embryo kidney using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and respectively cloned into eukaryotic expression vector pcDNA3.1(+/-) to construct the single-subunit plasmids--P(+)/P40 and P(-)/P35. Then we linked cDNAs of P40 and P35 tandem and cloned them into pcDNA3.1(+) to get P(+)/IL-12 plasmid. The hIL-12 protein in supernate was detected with enzyme-linked immunoabsorbent assay (ELISA) after P(+)/IL-12 was transfected into HepG2 through liposome.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>The plasmid of P(+)/IL-12 was testified using enzyme cutting and sequencing analysis. {"title":"[Effects of lithium chloride on the proliferation and apoptosis of K562 leukemia cells].","authors":"Hua-rong Tang, Qun He","doi":"","DOIUrl":"","url":null,"abstract":"<p><strong>Objective: </strong>To investigate the effects of lithium chloride on the proliferation and apoptosis of human leukemia cell line (K562).</p><p><strong>Methods: </strong>The effects of lithium chloride on the proliferation of K562 leukemia cells were evaluated by liquid culture assay, MTT assay, and colony formation assay. The effects of lithium chloride on the apoptosis of K562 leukemia cell were verified by cellular morphology and the agarose gel electrophoresis of DNA fragments.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>1. The proliferation of K562 leukemia cells was inhibited by lithium chloride (10-50 mmol/L) in a dose-dependent manner. 2. {"title":"[Particle enhanced immunoturbidimetic assay of high sensitive C-reactive protein].","authors":"Min Hu, Yan-wu Li, Yong-hong Hu","doi":"","DOIUrl":"","url":null,"abstract":"<p><strong>Objective: </strong>To evaluate the particle enhanced immunoturbidimetic assay of high sensitive C-reactive protein by the automated chemistry analyzer (Hitachi 7170A).</p><p><strong>Methods: </strong>The detection limit of quantification, measurement range, precision, interference and reference interval were assessed.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>The measurement range of the method was from 0.125 to 12.5 mg/L. The detection limitation was 0.115 mg/L. The internal and external accuracy were 0.89% and 0.90% respectively. {"title":"[Inhibitive effect of soybean isoflavone on prostate hyperplasia in rats].","authors":"Guo-feng Ren, Yi-ming Huang","doi":"","DOIUrl":"","url":null,"abstract":"<p><strong>Objective: </strong>To explore the inhibitive effect of soybean isoflavone on benign prostatic hyperplasia in rats.</p><p><strong>Methods: </strong>By subcutaneously injecting testosterone propionate to induce prostate hyperplasia in rats, the changes of prostate wet weight, prostatic index, morphological change, prostate-specific acid phosphatase (PAP), acid phosphatase in the control, the model, low, moderate, high dose of soybean isoflavone groups were observed.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>The ventral prostate wet weight, prostatic index, and PAP in the low, moderate, and high dose groups were significantly lower than those in the models (P < 0.05). The ventral prostate wet weight, prostatic index, and PAP in the moderate, and high dose groups were significantly lower than those in the low dose group (P < 0.05).</p><p><strong>Conclusion: </strong>Soybean isoflavone inhibits prostate hyperplasia and the increase of acid phosphatase and PAP in a dose-dependent manner in rats. {"title":"[Serum nitric oxide and D-dimer before and after administering antihypertensive drugs in essential hypertension].","authors":"Wei-ru Zhang, Ming Sun, Jie-kun Luo","doi":"","DOIUrl":"","url":null,"abstract":"<p><strong>Objective: </strong>To investigate the relationship among serum nitric oxide, D-dimer, blood pressure, dangerous states and target organ damage in essential hypertension and to evaluate the effects of enalapril and terazosin.</p><p><strong>Methods: </strong>Fifty-five patients were randomized into the enalapril group and terazosin group, each group receiving enalapril and terazosin respectively for 8 weeks. Serum nitric oxide and D-dimer were measured before and after the treatment.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>Serum nitric oxide was lower (P < 0.001) but D-dimer was higher (P < 0.01) in the hypertensions than those in the controls. Serum nitric oxide and D-dimer were related to different levels of blood pressure, dangerous states and target organ damage; Both enalapril and terazosin could reduce the level of blood pressure; Both could increase the serum nitric oxide (P < 0.001) and decrease the D-dimer(P < 0.01).</p><p><strong>Conclusion: </strong>Endothelial dysfunction and microthrombin can be found in the early stage of essential hypertension. {"title":"[Effects of lithium on the activity of ERK-1/2 signal pathway and expression of Bcl-2 family proteins in the central nervous system in vivo].","authors":"Jian-ling Li, Zhao-zheng Jing, Hong Yi","doi":"","DOIUrl":"","url":null,"abstract":"<p><strong>Objective: </strong>To investigate the effects of chronic in vivo lithium administration on ERK-1/2 signal pathway and the expression of Bcl-2 family proteins, and to elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying the therapeutic effects of lithium on the manic depression.</p><p><strong>Methods: </strong>Forty male Wistar rats were evenly divided into 2 groups. One group was treated with 2.4 g/kg of Li2CO3 for 4 weeks. The other group were given with normal chow. By the end of the 4th week, rat brains were removed immediately on decapitation and dissected on ice. The total proteins of rat brain hippocampus and frontal cortex were prepared.
