Were used signal processing and analysis well-known techniques, such as Hilbert Transform and Wavelet Transform, adding the concept of Wavelet Energy. In order to establish a more robust and effective analysis, simulations were made for different operating conditions and broken bars. The methodology was also validated with experimental data obtained in a test bench in a 3 CV motor, which demonstrated the robustness of the proposed technique. Resumo: O objetivo principal desse trabalho é propor um método para detecção de falhas de barras quebradas em motores de indução trifásicos através da análise da corrente de partida. Foram utilizadas técnicas bastantes conhecidas para processamento e análise de sinais, como a Transformada de Hilbert e a Transformada de Wavelet, acrescentando o conceito de Energia da Wavelet. Com intuito de estabelecer uma análise mais robusta do método proposto foram realizadas simulações para diferentes condições de operação e barras quebradas. Due to the extensive use, the belts require routine maintenance activities, which can be time consuming and present operational risks. Therefore, this paper proposes the study of a robotized solution to increase the automation degree of the steel cord conveyor belt splicing process. Concept tests are performed to validate some stages of the proposed solution, employing an ABB IRB120 manipulator arm with instrumentation and marking tools to model the belt and make reference indications. The belt dimensions are obtained through optical triangulation, using a green linear laser and a webcam coupled to the robot. The steel cables positionf inside the belt are determined using an inductive sensor. In order to perform the state estimation, the weighted least square method of literature is applied. This work presents a multisensorial integration strategy for emotions recognition, with three methods of integration implemented, which are Decision-Level, Feature-Level and Hybrid-Level. The advantage of such multisensorial system was the three sensors (eye tracker, Kinect and thermal camera) combined lead to a better and varied analysis of emotional aspects, allowing the evaluation of focal attention, valence and arousal detection, and emotion recognition. The article proposes a neural classifier that consists of two feedforward neural networks in parallel, con-structed with the aid of the MATLAB ® computational tool to identify the movement of the arm and fore-arm, being able to be used as a command source for myoelectric prostheses and robotic arms. The results demonstrated that it is possible to obtain reliable heart rate values in these conditions. The average RMSE of the measurements was around 3 bpm compared to the gold standard. To design the control, a well-modeled / identified plant is required to have a well-defined controller design. A misidentified system can compromise the project, causing it to have a control effort and a very long tuning time, which is not good at all. The present work aims to show some solutions for the identification of a robotic manipulator with a hybrid system of a recursive least squares technique and a metaheuristic called differential evolution (DE). The results are compared with other methods and can surpass them in order to validate the study and showing its potential.
