Lilysprei is a medium-enterprise business which produces bedroom equipment made from recycled fabric wastes from textile industries. The issue currently faced by the company is the difficulty of fulfilling its daily sales quota. The of this issue is the delay in the pattern sewing process that often goes beyond the allocated time. If left alone, this delay could lead to an unmet demand from customers which leads to decreasing demand in the future. In consequence to this, a reconstruction on the working method is needed in order to improve the business’ efficiency and effectivity. The purpose of this study is to identify work movements, identify work methods and make suggestions for improvements to pattern sewing work stations. The method used in this study is movement economics with right-hand left-hand maps and to analyze operator work movements and design layout improvements and work facilities. Based on the analysis of the right-hand left-hand map, the delay or length of the pattern sewing process is caused by the unbalanced workload of the two hands of the operator and there are unnecessary and time-consuming processes. The design of the layout and work facilities of the pattern sewing work station is to bring the operator's chair closer to the work facility and replace the cloth storage table with the same height as the sewing table to eliminate unnecessary processes and facilitate the movement of both hands and minimize the movement of the operator's neck and body. \u0000Abstrak Penggunaan metode kerja yang efektif dan efisien menjadi salah satu faktor yang perlu diperhatian oleh perusahaan untuk tercapainya target, hal itu menuntut para pelaku usaha perlu menetapkan standar metode kerja yang efektif dan efisien. Lilysprei adalah suatu perusahaan menengah yang memproduksi peralatan kamar tidur dengan bahan baku berasal dari limbah kain dari pabrik tekstil yang di daur ulang. Permasalahan yang terjadi pada perusahaan saat ini adalah sulitnya pencapaian target perhari yang telah ditetapkan, dikarenakan ada keterlambatan pengerjaan penjahitan pola yang kerap melebihi waktu penyelesaian yang telah ditentukan. Apabila hal ini terus berlanjut maka akan membuat perusahaan tidak mampu memenuhi permintaan pelanggan dan berimbas pada penurunan permintaan. Oleh karena itu dilakukanlah perbaikan metode kerja dengan tujuan meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektifitas perusahaan. The beautiful fashion home industry is industry engaged in the production of knitted sweaters, clothes and skirts. The results of observations and interviews, there are product failures that occur in the company, namely defects with holes, wrinkles and stains. These defective products occur because the company does not implement quality control in every process. Therefore, it is necessary to identify the most dominant causal factors in each process using Statistical Quality Control (SQC) and Failure Modes and Effect Analysis (FMEA) methods. Based on data processing using SQC, the percentage of defects with holes is 59%, wrinkled 26%, and stains 15%. In addition, the SQC method obtained the root cause of the problem which is influenced by several factors, namely the operator is less skilled, the thread breaks easily, the needle breaks easily, the operator works in a hurry, the duration of pressing the product is too fast, the machine performance decreases, the lighting is dim, the operator does not clean the work table before starting the production process, the machine is dirty, the raw material has been stained from suppliers, the work area is dirty. The results of the FMEA analysis with the highest RPN is 180 for the potential cause of the thread breaking easily and the needle breaking easily, while the lowest is 75 for the potential cause of the dirty work area. The proposed improvement is to choose better thread quality and not break easily, and pay attention to the length of time the needle is used. Abstrak. Home industry indah fashion merupakan industri yang bergerak di bidang produksi rajut sweater, baju dan rok. Hasil observasi dan wawancara, terdapat kegagalan produk yang terjadi di perusahaan yaitu cacat berlubang, berkerut dan noda. Produk cacat tersebut terjadi karena perusahaan tidak menerapkan pengendalian kualitas di setiap prosesnya. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan identifikasi faktor penyebab kecacatan yang paling dominan pada setiap prosesnya dengan menggunakan metode Statistical Quality Control (SQC) dan Failure Modes and Effect Analysis (FMEA). Berdasarkan pengolahan data menggunakan SQC, diperoleh persentase cacat berlubang 59 %, berkerut 26%, dan noda 15%. Selain itu, dengan metode SQC diperoleh akar penyebab masalah yang dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor yaitu operator kurang terampil, benang mudah putus, jarum mudah patah, operator bekerja terburu-buru, durasi penekanan terhadap produk terlalu cepat, kinerja mesin menurun, pencahayaan redup, operator tidak membersihkan meja kerja sebelum memulai proses produksi, mesin kotor, bahan baku sudah terkena noda dari pemasok, area kerja kotor. PT Kayo Makmur Indonesia is a company engaged in the production of spare parts for refrigerators, freezers and showcases. In carrying out the production process there are several activities that cause waste, namely the presence of defective products, rework, excessive amounts of products produced, unnecessary operator movements, transportation activities, and long production processes at the end enlargement workstation. The waste that occurs can result in the company taking longer to complete the products it produces. This research uses the Lean Manufacturing approach as an effort to reduce waste. Based on the results of waste identification using Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and E-DOWNTIME form, there are three highest types of waste, namely transportation, waiting, and defects. The waste is identified to determine the factors that cause waste. Recommendations for improvement proposals that will be made are the addition of production process transfer tools, redesigning production layouts, and designing visual work standardization. If the recommendations are implemented, the total production lead time will decrease from 16,987.98 seconds to 15,695.18 seconds. In addition, the Process Cycle Efficiency (PCE) value has increased from 51,02% to 55,22%. \u0000Abstrak. PT. Kayo Makmur Indonesia adalah perusahaan yang bergerak dalam bidang produksi suku cadang untuk lemari es, freezer, dan showcase. Dalam melakukan proses produksi terdapat beberapa aktivitas yang menyebabkan pemborosan, yaitu adanya produk cacat, rework, jumlah produk yang diproduksi berlebihan, gerakan operator yang tidak diperlukan, aktivitas transportasi, serta proses produksi yang lama di stasiun kerja pembesaran ujung. Pemborosan yang terjadi dapat mengakibatkan perusahaan memerlukan waktu yang lebih lama untuk menyelesaikan produk yang dihasilkannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Lean Manufacturing sebagai upaya untuk mengurangi pemborosan. Berdasarkan hasil identifikasi pemborosan dengan menggunakan Value Stream Mapping (VSM) dan formulir E-DOWNTIME, terdapat tiga jenis pemborosan tertinggi yaitu transportasi, waiting, dan defect. Pemborosan tersebut diidentifikasi untuk mengetahui faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya pemborosan. Rekomendasi usulan perbaikan yang akan dilakukan yaitu penambahan alat bantu pemindahan proses produksi, perancangan ulang layout produksi, dan perancangan standarisasi kerja secara visual. Apabila rekomendasi usulan perbaikan tersebut diimplementasikan, maka akan menghasilkan total production lead time yang menurun dari 16.987,98 detik menjadi 15.695,18 detik. Posko Suara Tanah is a home industry company operating in Majalengka Regency, specializing in the production of pottery. The pottery-making process is carried out traditionally, and two workers at the tile molding workstation have reported complaints of pain in various parts of their bodies. These complaints are caused by the manual and repetitive nature of the molding activities. The objective of this research is to assess the level of work-related risks during the molding activities for both operators at the molding workstation. The research methodology involves using the Nordic Body Map (NBM) questionnaire to evaluate the operators' bodily complaints and the Assessment of Repetitive Tasks (ART) Tools to measure the risk value of the work. Based on the data analysis, the results from the Nordic Body Map (NBM) questionnaire indicate that the highest level of pain experienced by both operators is in the neck, elbows, and wrists, with a score of 9. In the upper back and shoulders, both operators experience pain with a score ranging from 7 to 8. Meanwhile, in the knees, lower back, and buttocks, both operators experience pain with a score ranging from 4 to 7. e work-related risk analysis for both molding operators using the Assessment of Repetitive Tasks (ART) Tools method shows that the molding element has the highest risk level with a score of 60 for both the right and left sides of the body. The leveling element has a high-risk level with a score of 21 for both the right and left sides of the body, while the smoothing element has a low-risk level with a score of 10.5 for the right side of the body and a score of 1.5 for the left side of the body. \u0000Abstrak. Proses pembuatan gerabah dilakukan secara tradisional, dua orang pekerja pada stasiun kerja pencetakan mengalami keluhan rasa sakit pada beberapa bagian tubuh. Keluhan tersebut disebabkan oleh kegiatan pencetakan yang dilakukan secara manual dan berulang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat risiko kerja saat melakukan aktivitas pencetakanpada kedua operator stasiun kerja pencetakan. CV Kezka Diastama is a company engaged in textile services that produces motif headscarves, plain headscarves, mukena, jersey, t-shirts and others. The motif headscarf is a product that has the highest level of demand but in the production process the motif headscarf experiences high defects as well. The company only sets a standard defect of 2%, but the motif headscarf product in its production activities still has a defect rate ranging from 3.5% - 5.3%. This resulted in the company experiencing losses in raw materials, time and costs. Products that experience defects with an increasing number, will reduce quality and the company experiences losses in raw materials, time and costs. The company wants defects in motif headscarf products to be minimized. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the quality to minimize the number of defects in the product hijab motif. The research method for improving the quality of the motif headscarf is the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method. Based on the results of FMEA analysis, it is known that the highest RPN values are machine damage of 245 and 280, incorrect fabric positioning of 210 and incorrect machine settings of 240 and 210. The highest RPN results will be taken corrective action. \u0000Abstrak. CV Kezka Diastama merupakan salah satu perusahaan bergerak di bidang jasa tekstil yang memproduksi pembuatan jilbab motif, jilbab polos, mukena, jersey, kaos dan lainnya. Jilbab motif merupakan produk yang memiliki tingkat permintaan yang paling tinggi namun dalam proses produksinya jilbab motif mengalami kecacatan yang tinggi juga. Perusahaan hanya menetapkan standar kecacatan sebesar 2%, namun produk jilbab motif dalam aktivitas produksinya masih memiliki tingkat kecacatan yang berkisar 3,5% - 5,3%. Hal tersebut mengakibatkan perusahaan mengalami kerugian bahan baku, waktu dan biaya. Produk yang mengalami kecacatang dengan jumlah yang terus meningkat, mak akan mengurangi kualitas dan perusahaan mengalami kerugian bahan baku, waktu dan biaya. Perusahaan menginginkan kecacatan pada produk jilbab motif dapat diminimasi. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan perbaikan kualitas untuk meminimasi jumlah cacat pada produk jilbab motif. Metode penelitian perbaikan kualitas jilbab motif yaitu dengan metode Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). Berdasarkan hasil analisis FMEA diketahui nilai RPN tertinggi yaitu kerusakan mesin sebesar 245 dan 280, penempatan posisi kain tidak benar sebesar 210 dan setting mesin tidak benar sebesar 240 dan 210. Work facilities are important for a work environment that supports the smooth operation of operators. CV. Nur Rahmat Teknik is a company that produces heating elements. At the cutting work station, the operator's attitude is unnatural, such as squatting, bending the back, bowing the neck which is at risk of developing musculoskeletal disorders. The research objective of designing cutting work facilities is to reduce risk. The method used to identify risks is using the Nordic Body Map, risk determination is using the Workplace Ergonomic Risk Assessment method and designing work facilities using Anthropometry. The identification results of complaints and pain were found in the neck, upper back, lower back, shoulders, buttocks/thighs causing discomfort. The risks experienced by workers are at a medium level, meaning that further identification is needed and changes in work patterns are recommended. The proposed design is in the form of a work table with multifunction, namely a work table that can place all cutting tools, a storage area for scissors, grinders, knife blades. Simulation is carried out by Catia V5 simulation with low risk results, meaning that the work is accepted and can be continued. The results of the work risk analysis on cutting produce a medium risk value. The proposed work facility design is in the form of work tables and pipe storage locations. The proposed table size is 120 cm long, 100 cm wide, 100 cm high. Along with an additional table 80 cm long, 100 cm wide and 100 cm high. Along with additional shelves with a height of 45 cm. The simulation results using CATIA V5 software show that the design of work facilities resulting from a risk assessment results in a low risk, this score indicates that the work is safe and there is no work risk. \u0000Abstrak. Production activities certainly can’t be separated from various resources. One of the resources that plays an important role is workers. In order to work optimally, workers need attention. One of the concerns that companies can give is to pay attention to the workload. Based on interviews with 10 workers in the packing section, including 6 workers in three rotary inline packer machines, 2 workers in chute, and 2 workers in loading channels. Some of the symptoms experienced by workers such as feeling lethargic, often sleepy, dizzy, not concentrating, losing passion to work, experiencing fever, dizziness and heart rate. Based on the symptoms of fatigue experienced by workers, it can be indicated that operators experience some complaints that are felt mentally, so there is a formulation of the problem in this study, namely \"How to classify the level of mental workload of operators in the packing section at PT.ISemenIJawaISCG?\"The data collection and processing technique used is the NASA-TLX method, to determine the level of operator workload and design the number of operators. The results obtained that there are cement bagging operators in shift 1 and shift 2 on average obtain a mental workload value exceeding 80 which means it is in the very high category. \u0000Abstrak. Kegiatan produksi tentunya tidak lepas dari berbagai sumber daya. Salah satu sumber daya yang berperan penting adalah pekerja. Agar dapat bekerja dengan maksimal, pekerja memerlukan perhatian. Salah satu perhatian yang bisa diberikan perusahaan adalah dengan memperhatikan beban kerja. Berdasarkan kegiatan wawancara kepada 10 orang pekerja di packing section, diantaranya 6 orang pekerja di tiga mesin rotary inline packer, 2 orang pekerja di chute, dan 2 orang pekerja di loading channel. Berdasarkan gejala kelelahan yang dialami pekerja, dapat diindikasikan bahwa operator mengalami beberapa keluhan yang dirasakan secara mental, sehingga terdapat perumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini yaitu “Bagaimana klasifikasi tingkat beban kerja mental operator pada packing section di PT.ISemenIJawaISCG?” Adapun teknik pengumpulan dan pengolahan data yang digunakan yaitu metode NASA-TLX, guna mengetahui tingkat beban kerja operator dan merancang jumlah operator. Excessive workload can lead to an uncomfortable working atmosphere for workers because it can lead to faster work stress. Conversely, a lack of workload can cause losses to the organization. This research was carried out at CV. Karya Cipta Agung is a manufacturing company that focuses on making plastic injection molds and die casting using the Make to Order method in running its business. The problem faced is that there are 2 operators who handle 2 jobs. Operator 1 handles Surface Grinding and Lathe Machines. Operator 2 handles CNC machines and manual milling machines. The working method of the operator cannot be done in parallel because the machine functions manually. The research objective is to measure the workload of operators who handle 2 jobs and to analyze the suitability of the proposed number of workers based on the results of workpiece measurements. Calculation of workload and proposed number of workers using the Work load Analysis (WLA) method. The calculation results for operator 1's workload are 116% and operator 2's are 160%. Based on the standard workload, if the workload is > 128%, it indicates that the operator is experiencing an overload. Based on this, it is necessary to add 1 additional workforce to operator 2. The division of labor for operator 2 handles milling machine work with a new workload of 76% for milling machines and 84% for CNC machines. \u0000Abstrak. Beban kerja yang berlebih dapat menimbulkan suasana kerja yang kurang nyaman bagi pekerja karena dapat memicu timbulnya stres kerja yang lebih cepat. Sebaliknya kekurangan beban kerja dapat menimbulkan kerugian bagi organisasi. Peneliti ini dilakukan di CV. Karya Cipta Agung merupakan perusahaan manufaktur yang berfokus terhadap pembuatan mold injection plastic and die casting dengan menggunakan metode Make to Order dalam menjalankan bisnisnya. Masalah yang dihadapi adalah terdapat 2 operator yang menangani 2 pekerjaan. Operator 1 menangani mesin Gerinda Permukaan dan Mesin Bubut. Operator 2 menangani mesin CNC dan Mesin Milling manual. Cara kerja dari operator tidak bisa dilakukan paralel disebabkan karena mesin berfungsi manual. Tujuan penelitian yaitu mengukur beban kerja operator yang menangani 2 pekerjaan serta menganalisis kesesuaian usulan jumlah tenaga kerja berdasarkan hasil pengukuran benda kerja. Perhitungan beban kerja dan usulan jumlah tenaga kerja menggunakan metode Work load Analysis (WLA). Hasil perhitungan beban kerja operator 1 sebesar 116% dan operator 2 sebesar 160%. Berdasarkan standar beban kerja, jika beban kerja >128% menunjukkan operator mengalami overload. Berdasarkan hal tersebut pekerjaan yang dilakukan oleh operator perlu dilakukan penambahan tenaga kerja 1 orang pada operator 2. Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) can be minimized with an ergonomic application. Difficulties at the rice mill H. Ondo workers perform awkward movements such as lifting, closing and standing with sacks. For 8 hours, the frequency of lifting is 22 times/day. These conditions will pose a risk of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). The aim of the research is to identify workers' complaints, find out work risks and design work facilities to minimize work risks. The research method used is quantitative method. Quick Exposure Checklist (QEC) method for assessing work risk. The results of the work risk assessment using the Quick Exposure Checklist (QEC) method on the work element lifting sacks filled with rice to the milling area resulted in an exposure score of 42.5% and the work element putting rice into the hopper was 47% with a classification that needed further research, while for the work element lifting sacks filled with rice to the hopper with an exposure score of 52.1% with calculations needing further research and changes to be made. Efforts to reduce work risk are improving the operator's work posture by providing suggestions for assistive device designs. \u0000Abstrak. Fasilitas kerja yang tidak memperhatikan prinsip-prinsip ergonomi akan menyebabkan postur kerja yang salah dan mengakibatkan risiko muskuloskeletal disorders (MSDs). Muskuloskeletal disorders (MSDs) dapat diminimalisasi dengan adanya aplikasi ergonomi. Permasalahan di penggilingan padi H. Ondo pekerja melakukan gerakan yang janggal seperti gerakan mengangkat, membungkuk dan berdiri dengan membawa karung Selama 8 jam, frekuensi pengangkatan 22 kali/hari. Kondisi tersebut akan mengakibatkan risiko muskuloskeletal disorders (MSDs). Tujuan penelitian untuk mengidentifikasi keluhan pekerja, mengetahui risiko kerja dan merancangan fasilitas kerja untuk meminimasi risiko kerja. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode kuantitatif. Metode Quick Exposure Checklist (QEC) untuk menilai risiko kerja. Hasil penilaian risiko kerja menggunakan metode Quick Exposure Checklist (QEC) pada elemen kerja mengangkat karung berisi padi ke area penggilingan menghasilkan exposure score 42,5% dan elemen kerja memasukkan padi ke dalam hopper adalah 47% dengan klasifikasi perlu penelitian lebih lanjut, sedangkan untuk elemen kerja mengangkat karung berisi padi ke atas hopper dengan nilai exposure score sebesar 52,1% dengan klasifikasi perlu penelitian lebih lanjut dan dilakukan perubahan. Air Minum Dalam Kemasan (AMDK) Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum (PDAM) Bandung City is a company that produces mineral water with various brands of Hanaang, Pendopo, and Watermed with various sizes. The company identified a fairly crucial problem, namely related to product quality problems, especially the 600 ml Hanaang brand of bottled water. The company wants the defects in these products to be reduced. Quality improvement is carried out using the New Seven Tools method with the aim of improving quality and minimizing defects in 600 ml Hanaang brand bottled water products. There are several tools used, namely affinity diagram, interrelationship diagram, tree diagram, matrix diagram, matrix diagram analysis, and arrow diagram. The results of data processing can be seen that there are 3 factors, namely human factors, machine factors, and environmental factors. Human factors are caused by operators not understanding how to operate the machine and operators not working according to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). Machine factors are caused by poor engine performance and dirty engine filters. Environmental factors are caused by the way raw materials are stored (overlapping). \u0000Abstrak. Air Minum Dalam Kemasan (AMDK) Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum (PDAM) Kota Bandung merupakan perusahaan yang memproduksi air mineral dengan berbagai merek Hanaang, Pendopo, dan Watermed dengan berbagai ukuran. Perusahaan terindentifikasi ada permasalahan yang cukup krusial yaitu berkaitan dengan dengan masalah kualitas produk terutama merek air kemasan merek Hanaang ukuran 600 ml. Perusahaan menginginkan kecacatan pada produk tersebut dapat berkurang. Perbaikan kualiatas yang dilakukan menggunakan metode New Seven Tools dengan tujuan memperbaikan kualitas dan meninalisir kecacatan produk air kemasan merek Hanaang ukuran 600 ml. Terdapat beberapa tools yang digunakan yaitu affinity diagram, interrelationship diagram, tree diagram, matriks diagram, analisis diagram matriks, dan arrow diagram. Hasil pengolahan data yang dilakukan dapat diketahui bahwa terdapat 3 faktor yaitu faktor manusia, faktor mesin, dan faktor lingkungan. Faktor manusia disebabkan oleh operator kurang paham dalam mengoperasian mesin dan operator tidak bekerja sesuai Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). Faktor mesin disebabkan oleh performa mesin kurang baik dan filter mesin yang kotor.
